On my Brickshelf you can find larger pictures now.
Only the diagonal bars on the water tower could be made better, the levers there look a bit strange IMO.
I agree with you. I was not able to mimic the true diagonal supports with the bricks I had at home. So, I tried this approximation.

For those who try to guess the movie and compare it to my rendering, I add three more screen-shots:
-
What is the name of the movie?
Let's people guess.

Here is my contribution to the Wild West theme.
Rosevell, Arizona, around 1865
Morning sun just got over the horizon and its first rays touch the station in Rosewell, …
… the biggest building in the city – saloon, …
… and the streets with many bodies of those who did not survive yesterday’s gunfire.
The bandits hide themselves in the saloon and they shoot on anything that is moving.
The besiegers, railroad workers led by several experienced adventurers, repeat fire from outside, using barrels, chests …
… wagons …
… and railroad buildings as improvised hideouts.
.
Listen! What’s that? Locomotive whistle?
Yes, it is coming … and it does not stop in the station.
Its speed even increases and the driver leaves the engine.
Now, the bandits can see what caused the strange sounds during the last night. The railway workers have moved the tracks …
… so that the rails head straight to the saloon.
Big bang, explosion and the building crashes down.
The native Americans are watching the scene. Eventually, it will be them who will be the ultimate winners in the battle of Rosewell.
END
I hope that at least some older European EB members will remember this classic movie.

If you liked my story, here is the complete MOC:
This is my first Western MOC and I should say that I have learned much from the Masters, like Kris Kelvin, TheBrickster and many others.
Howgh!

The design of the bridge shows that the assortment of Lego windows needs an addition of 1 x 1 x 2 and 1 x 1 x 3 ones. On Legomilk's 5th picture we can see that using the panels 1 x 2 x 2 and 1 x 2 x 3 disturbs the appearance of the model.

I like the MOC very much.
How I wish I was there on that island where you just swim, eat, sleep and enjoy your life. No work, no deadlines.
-
I like your creation very much. The design is inventive, the scene is full of life and action, and that large amount of green makes the MOC refreshing for tired eyes.
I noticed you found a nice use for those green frames (plastic spruce?) that usually come with Plant with 3 Large Leaves (part no. x8).
By the way, I always wondered why LEGO designers in TLC add studs on the body of those animals, like dogs or pigs. Your pig rider explains it.

Very impressive and at the same time very detailed MOC. Congratulations, Reejoc!
I like particularly the main tower and the attached wing. It looks very realistic, especially on that out-door shot.
Thanks also for the link to Peles castle.
-
Beautiful summer topic, clever design, and last but not least, perfect photo - sharp and well-lit.
Congratulations to this excellent MOC.

In my opinion, this is the most original and most sophisticated idea of displaying the collectible minifigs. Moreover, this modular display scheme can be easily expanded when new series arrive.
-
A real masterpiece of the great architect!
-
A really nice MOC, very close to the original. I like the yellow and white combitation of colors, it makes clear that the house has just passed renovation.
-
Thanks again for your positive reactions.
I do hope that my MOC, as well as the newly released minifigs of Robin Hood and Marion, will encourage more builders to come with other additions to the wonderful world of the Forest people.
-
Thank you all for your nice words.
I think we all agree that the Forestmen line was one of the most unique ones among the Lego historic themes.
-
For us, lovers of the Forestmen (Robin Hood) Lego line in Europe, the 6071 set Forestmen's Crossing has been like a frustrating dream. Unlike the other sets from the same series of 1988-1990, it has never been sold in Europe. Nobody knows why.
I always wished to have it, but was not ready to pay extreme prices for which it is offered on Ebay or Bricklink, now. Hence, these days I decided to built my own version of the set. My small MOC is made 20 years after the release of the original, so it is a sort of homage to this wonderful set. The idea to build it was stimulated also by the fact that this year two minifigs from the Forestmen series were released: a forest lady in Vintage Minifigure Collection Vol. 5 and a forest hunter in Minifigure Collection Vol. 1.
So, here are some pictures of my version.
Unlike the original set, in my version, forest people can use the suspension bridge in the canopy to get from one river bank to the other. But, it is an adrenaline experience. Let us make the trip:
First, enter the old hollow oak tree , then use the ladder inside the partly burned stem ,
balance the suspension bridge ,
get down to the old castle platform and, finally, use the stone steps to get back to the ground .
Enjoy it!

You have created another excellent MOC. Congratulations!!!
Moreover, you have developed your very own, easily recognizable style of building stone-made houses. My question is: how firm are your buildings when made of small plates (mainly 1x1 round plates)? Can you grasp the whole house, keep it in your hand and move it to another place?
-
One more applause for the author of this excellent MOC.
Moreover, on your Brickshelf page I noticed that you were the author of the amazing Da Vinci flying machine - one of the best animated technic creations I have ever seen.
-
Another excellent MOC, Kris! And, of course, again in your favorite dark red color.
I also tried to read your blog in Polish and it seems to me that there is a strong competition among the LUGPol members. This may be the reason why all of you are so good in building.
-
Very good job, Svelte!
It is refreshing to see something CC-incompatible, especially these days.
-
It is excellent MOC and it surely deserves frontpaging!!!
Can you make the LDD file available for all of us, please? You have used some nice tricks and it would be nice to explore them. Thanks.
-
Hi Kris,
a really nice MOC.
Can you tell me, what was your inspiration for this building? A real palace?
-
Hi,
my trains are always ready to run and carry passengers or goods. That is why they stand on the rails in the railway station.
-
A lovely MOC! When I breath in, I can feel the smell of wood, trees and grass.
I do wish the roof wasn't green, I just don't think it looks as good as it could be if it was brown, but that's just my opinion.Well, it would be nice to have the roof in dark brown, for example. But this type of roof construction needs wedge plates and these are not available in many (natural) colors. I suppose that was the reason why green was chosen.

Really good job, jaderchan.
I like all the smooth and non-rectangular shapes (e.g. the shop stairs) and excellent (rarely seen) color selection.

Thank you, Jurgen, you "crazy builder", who saved the reputation of TLG in this case.
I was hesitating about purchasing this set, mainly because of its high price, the reported technical problems, and rather limited playability.
Now, after I downloaded your instructions, I am going to purchase it, definitely. Yes, I will have to add some minor mods, mainly to accommodate the classic battery box, but your instructions will be my guide. Thanks.
