If I did that I'd probably end up with both sets, an empty wallet and a very very very angry wife : ) -

See, now do I go for the Falcon before it disappears from the shelves and becomes unreachable, price wise? Or do I buy the AT AT while I have the money now, and wait for a future Falcon...if they release one and if I can actually afford one in the future!? Damn, this being an adult and having bills to pay is a pain! Now I'm swaying more to 75054...the difference in Snowtroopers won't bother me, the troopers from 75014 were updated from the battle pack troopers iirc? But I do think Lego could've put a couple of rebels in the set too, or an extra unique character. Don't get me wrong, Veers is nice, but he's very similar to every other imperial officer. The figs in 75054 just don't grab me like say, the ones from the New B Wing, or the cantina set, or the Falcon. Maybe it's just that I've overdosed on Hoth Imperials : ) but the build of 75054 looks so good, and plenty modable too. Maybe I should let my son decide...he's going to be building it anyway ! -

I don't usualy like 'playsets' so much, I prefer ships and vehicles for display, but I like this set...very tidy and some nice touches. And the minifigures are stunning, but £65 here in the uk !!?? If it was £50-£55 then I'd be more interested : (

That's really neat. I like the burnt ends on the pipework to Vaders right...very movie accurate!

Yes, I think I'm swaying more toward the Falcon? I love it but it's more of a playset than a display piece. And that 75054 would look nice on my shelf! Aargh. I guess I should add that I'm in the UK and both sets are @£110. If the New Cantina was £15 cheaper, I'd be tempted to pick up that and the New B Wing, the figures in those are very nice -

Hi, havnt posted here for a while! I need some input...I only 'collect' OT Lego, I say collect but I have very little spare money to spend on it, what with having 2 young children and a marriage to finance! My collection after 2 years, currently stands at: 9496 desert skiff 9493 x wing 9492 tie 75003 a wing 75014 battle of hoth 8092 Luke's speeder 2x hoth imperial battle pack 1x hoth rebel battle pack 1x endor battle pack + imperial royal guard, imperial officer, storm troopers and 4x rebel both troopers. Which I swapped with my young son...he collects clone wars sets and I had bought the New General grievous wheel bike because I thought it looked nice, but I wasn't happy with it so we swapped! Anyway..I have recently received some money for a gift, and for the first time I have enough to purchase a large (ish) set. Now, do I order a Falcon, which I have wanted for 2 years. Or do I buy the New AT AT set, which I love the look of ??? I understand the Falcon is soon to be discontinued, so this may be my only chance to buy it. But at the same time, I LOOOVE the look of 750054 ! It may be a very very long time until I have the money to buy another set at this price point, so I need to choose awfully careful !!! Help! Any pros/cons that I'm missing? I guess the AT AT would go better with my other Hoth sets, but the figures are a little uninspiring....whereas the Falcon has Luke, Leia, Vader, Ben. And the Falcon has been my goal since I started. I suppose I could just buy 75050 and maybe the y wing? ...two OT fighters I need -
From my point of view, its great that lego are releasing some uncommon or hard to find figures in these smaller sets. I have a very, ver, verrrrry small amount of momey to spend on my OT scollection so it was great to pick up Han, Ackbar, Lando, Boba Fett and a couple of other characters in small, affordable sets

MOCpages Find Suboken Project's Moldy Crow
miles teg replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Oh wow, i only posted recently regarding Dark Forces and the Jedi Knight series, and if Lego had or were planning to make anything based on that arc ! This is nice ! The Moldy Crow was a classy ship. I agree the orange is a little jarring but it definately fits. Please post any more finds....ive enjoyed the last few ! -

Wow, these are stunning ! I usualy dislike these type of brickbuilt busts - i feel they always look somewhat 'off', but he has captured these perfectly. And loook at the detail on the individiual weapons too ! Stunning.- 8 replies

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
miles teg replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I thought the same at first, but my son recently picked this up at Legoland and its actualy quite a nice set. An interesting modular build and some nice jedi and sith characters. Im an OT fan too, but luckily my 9yr old is a clone wars fan so between us we get the best of both worlds -
I like it. Whos the Jedi leading the clones ? And is that Pre Visla rushing through the doorway ? Would like to see it expanded with more clone / mandalor squads fighting outside the building or on different levels too Sorry for double post....and maybe a few details in the walls/control panels for the doors etc. They look a little bland at the moment

Have / will Lego ever make any sets based on the Jedi Knight / Jedi Academy series of games ? They are some of my all time favourite games and they had some good characters and ships that would make great sets. Kyle Katarn, anyone ?! -

Double Feature Review Part II: 75025 Jedi Defender-class Cruiser
miles teg replied to BrickBob Studpants's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nice review. Ive only been collecting sw lego for a few months (after buying them for my son for a couple of years, i got the bug !) Im only buying OT sets for myself (its an age thing!) But seeing these TOR sets next to each other, i think its time to expand the perimeters of my collection. They look sweeeet....and in my eyes, a lot more star-warsy than a lot of the CW and EU era stuff. -
What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
miles teg replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My favourite that i own would either be Boba Fett from the new desert skiff, or Admiral Ackbar from the new A Wing. Of the many that i dont have, i like the battle damaged Vader or Tatooine Luke -

Hi there, does anybody know if TLG are going to release any more OT battlepacks of any kind ? I have both the Hoth bp's, and the Endor bp and i am only realy interested in OT sets, but i see an almost constant stream of clone/droid packs and not a thing from what could be a rich source of characters/mini vehicles/ scenes ? Also, i built up my Battle of Hoth last night and was pretty impressed. The figs are sweet, the trench is ......a trench. And the Snowspeeder...oh my !! I just love that thing ! Larger than i was expecting, accurate and pretty detailed. The Snowspeeder is now my favourite set that i own. There is just one glaring fault that i intend to mod out.......the damn tow cable winch at the rear ! The designers did such a wonderful job with this ship, and then they stuck that on the back. I think im going to replace it with a non-working approximation of a winch, so i can display it with pride. -
8038 seems way too narrow in the 'head', but the legs look ok. I would definately go with 7657....even though it looks a little clunky. It looks like two guys could fit in it, and it looks pretty menacing......now, to find one for a decent price on ebay !!!!

This set also strikes me as a decent way to build a Hoth army ?

I also have both those sets, and agree...if you want minifigs, go for the Skiff. If you want a decent ship build, go for the A Wing. But...if you look around, you can probably get hold of both for less than £45. Also...the A Wing does have 3 very nice minifigs, including Han and admiral Ackbar in a cheap set !
