What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Just ordered 75093 Death Star Final Duel from Amazon UK.....£50.96 with free postage down from £69.99 ! I've wanted this set for a looong time but it's always been around £70-£80 whenever I've seen it. Last time it was a toss up between Shuttle Tyderium or Final Duel, and the Tyderium won. This time I snapped it up at that price : ) can't wait to build it and see that new Vader mould : )

Ok could anybody point me in the right direction ? I picked up an extra 75092 Luke's Landspeeder set this weekend, with the intention of combining it with my current one to create a more detailed model of the 'speeder. Are there any links/threads of existing mods or mocs of this set that could help with inspiration ? Oops sorry, typing on my phone ! The accent took me aback for a second when she answered, I'm a sucker for that Icelandic sound

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

After deliberating for days, finally Picked up and built the 75137 Carbonite freezing chamber today. Lego have done a fantastic job with this particular wave of smallish sets. This and 75138 Hoth Attack are both great little builds. Minifigure - wise it's fantastic too...3 awesome characters in one relatively cheap set. I've been after a carbonite Han for a while now, and Fett trumps the fig from the 2014 desert skiff set. The set also includes some nice parts....a few lbg tiles, grilles that are always useful and a nice printed tile too. Here's to hoping Lego release more small sets like these

That U Wing looks awesome. It reminds me of Buck Rogers' fighter from the old '80s tv show ...oops giving away my age there !

    [REVIEW]: 75138 Hoth Attack

I built my 75138 yesterday and it's a nice little set. Love the new minifigs....although my snowtrooper has a mis print on the helmet : ( and Hoth Han is a great fig for a small set. Can never have enough Hans in the collection! I've modded mine a little..added a few bricks to the trench, and added an extra layer of curved white bricks to the turret. It makes it look a lot better in my opinion. I'll add this set to my Battle of Hoth from 2014 and my Hoth battlepacks

Just built the New Hoth Attack set, and I've noticed my Snowtrooper has a mis print on the helmet piece : ( The thin line that goes around the 'eyes' and across the bridge of the nose is off centre by a couple of mm. I've never had this before...do I email Lego, or 'phone them?

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

I don't know about the Lego shop but I'm in the UK and my local Tesco had some discounts on SW Lego sets today. Microfighters were £7 each, rebel transport was £45, Tie advanced proto was £35, Naboo Fighter was £44, Hoth attack was £18, Reys Speeder was £16 a few battlepacks were down to £9.99 there were more but I was mid-shop and the kids were chomping at the bit to escape, so I grabbed Hoth attack for myself and got out. I was hoping to find carbonite chamber reduced but that was still £20

What Hilt of LEGO Lightsaber you prefer?

I prefer metallic silver myself. It's not as in your face as old chrome and lasts longer. I only have one original chrome saber hilt and it's starting to rub off : ( I think the light grey hilts are fantastic for greebles though, and I pick up as many of those as I can!

A better Force Pike for the Emperor's Royal Guards

If you look I think both hands are upside down. It allows the figure to hold the weapon vertical I can't get past the layer of dust myself : )

A better Force Pike for the Emperor's Royal Guards

I've used the black 'speargun' element for mine. It looks a lot better and the pistol grip allows it to be held 'to attention' style, with arms down by their sides and pike upright

    [Review] 75038 Jedi Interceptor

I do, but I'm having real problems uploading pics to Flickr from my phone at the moment ! It's frustrating as I have a few mods that I'd like to show. The rear of the cockpit is simply a lbg smooth 'radar dish' element with a little greeble. The cockpit loses its 'hinge' and must be opened by lifting off ala 8097 but this does not bother me as my models are for display anyway, and I'd rather they looked truer to the movie models.

    [Review] 75038 Jedi Interceptor

Nice review, I like this model. One of the better looking ships from the PT. I've modded mine with full cockpit, fully covered studs with color matched tiles, slightly 'longer' engines. And finished off the cockpit bubble by rounding and enclosing the ugly 'stud butt' at the rear. It looks so much better with just a few little tweaks. Tiling it especially.

[MOC] Episode V - Hoth Echo Base

Now THIS is a UCS Hoth base !! Great work! Lego take note...this is how you design a collectors set. Seriously, take out the x wing and a couple of snowspeeders to trim the part count, throw in a Tauntaun and a Wampa and watch it fly off the shelves!

What got you into collecting Lego as an Adult?

I Used to have Lego when I was little but 'forgot' about it as I got older. then a couple of years ago my young son started collecting SW Lego and I enjoyed building it with him. As a lifelong fan of OT Star Wars it kickstarted my interest in OT SW sets! I think o started off buying a couple of battlepacks to get hold of Stormtroopers, and took off from there! Strictly OT though, apart from 75038, cos I like that little ship lol

    Slave 1 8097 [MOD]

No worries : ) I'm going to have to order some of those dark red parts I think. And some extra lbg sloped pieces too as I've used all mine on my Falcon and Tie mods ! Looks like you've modded the pylons similar to how I did mine, and I also stripped out the flick fire rubbish : ) I had to leave the technic framework inside though, as it seems to give the hull it's rigidity. Ace mod again

    Slave 1 8097 [MOD]

This is looking nice, I've been trying to mod my own 8097 for a while now. Did you have to alter the structure itself to accommodate the new 'skirt' ? Any chance of a parts list ?
