I'm going to move this over to Community, as it is not official LEGO media, or presented as simply a video review of the sets.

I would love to see such rare and amazing LEGO artefacts! As for selling, you could look into auction houses that deal with toy sales. There are a number of them now, as Star Wars, Transformers and other toys have become valuable and desirable collector items. Unfortunately, I only really know of the UK based auction houses. I am not sure what there would be in Sweden, but Google for "auctions of vintage toys" or "specialist toy auctions" might help. You too

What do you do with your old instructions?
Peppermint_M replied to Calanon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have them in boxes and then crammed into spaces that the boxes fit... I have been considering doing something else to organise them or something, but then I still have LEGO to sort. Maybe one day I will do something else with them, but right now it is just a horde. -
What a spiffy bit of Skyfi hardware you've got there It is a favourite subject of mine and I always enjoy seeing other's creations. Thanks for sharing this with the forum.

Eurobricks event #15 GÜNZBURG (!) sign up thread
Peppermint_M replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
At the moment I am looking at a mix of options, both other airports and even travelling earlier to start and later to get home. The Prices are pretty awful sadly. I'll give Momondo a look too, thanks -

Currently not so fun, I am hoping that in the next few weeks some other carrier takes on the routes that BMI covered, so I can fly according to plan. -

Yup, there is a Hidden Side discussion thread in Action and Adventure themes with lots of photos and discussion. -

Ok... So the airline I booked with has just gone into administration. I paid with credit card, so no concerns about getting the money back, but now I have to figure out how I am getting to Germany... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-47267901 EDIT: Something it seems I can't get to work on immediately, as all the flight booking sites still have BMI as a carrier option -
There is also the chance of going the Power Rangers/Voltron/Digimon route and come up with a new team. There are a lot of options open to take then; Next Generation, New Spinjitsu Students, a rag tag group of different personalities stumbling across the power of spinjitsu... So many tropes and all of them fun to work with. Heck, there is always the "Alternate Reality" or "Alternate Timeline" options that can use the same character names but in a different situation.

Loving this theme! I know I will be buying plenty of it.

As I look at my Library, made up of many (many) books I have found that 20 of them are LEGO books, official and fan driven. I know for a fact, that there is now a new edition of The LEGO Book, but I already have the first two editions. I have Great Lego Sets and a number of the Minifigure guides. So, would anyone who has the latest edition of The LEGO Book be able to say if it is essential? Are there any books you highly recommend I get? (Or check if I do have. I know my book catalogue app has some entries missing, I have more than 666 books listed in it). Are there any fan driven books that people can recommend? What LEGO books are your favourite?
-
Compulsory entry fee might interfere with any charity status that could allow the LEGO supplies from the company. I am not sure about licensing issues, I think there could be a problem if the selling point was STAR WARS but probably not if it just so happens to figure in the display.

Action and Adventure Themes are an odd bunch aren't they? Here is a place to talk about ideas for the future. However there are a few ground rules: This is not a Wishlist thread, so please no posting lists of themes you want LEGO to make. A Compelling Idea is preferred, an outline of a theme idea and story-line (basic or otherwise) will help immensely. Give us a reason to think "That's cool." Continuations, reboots, prequels and re-imaginings of current or past themes are very welcome but not demanded. Remember though: Spies, Submariners and Spelunkers are staples of Action and Adventure themes! Remember: It has to fit into Action and Adventure, too SciFi and it wouldn't fit, too mundane and we're talking town. Licensed characters and properties don't fit (But you can liken an Idea to a known property if you like). This isn't a place to attack current themes or to bang on about their cancellation/ending/replacement. This is just a place to share ideas about the future. Lastly: Have Fun!

Licensed Themes VS Original Themes
Peppermint_M replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Also, Action and Adventure is a designation made up by fans, TLG uses another term that, so far as they are concerned, is occupied quiet well by current themes. -
Most I have heard of a voluntary, sharing the love of LEGO and creativity (plus a little bit of showing off). So for a "show" situation where there is an event for a few days, the creators put their MOCs on display and attend to supervise them and talk to the public. At the comic con I display, I am not charged any table rates and while the offer to cover parking fees was appreciated I didn't need it. For an exhibition that is going to stay in place for a long time behind display cases: Builder comes in and does set-up, but fan builders do not expect to get paid, they might leave an information card or have provided someone with details needed regarding the MOC. Then they'll collect it when everything is over. Businesses that make LEGO creations are the ones that need paying, commissioned work for businesses, events and the like. I know some CADW sites hosted building days in the summer a few years ago, so someone in the museum might have a starting point there (I am not sure how interconnected the world of historical monuments and museum trusts are). LEGO has something here that might help.

Sure, go ahead here! People get all weird about spoilers, but others who have seen a film want to chat. Go ahead and someone @ me when we want a merge. After a sensible amount of time of course. (I have tickets for Sunday 10th!)- 64 replies

Themes LEGO should discontinue
Peppermint_M replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I buy for parts alone. So LEGO should discontinue all themes and just make all parts manufactured available in all colours produced that I can then purchase by volume or weight, continue to release printed parts across a range of generic "genres" and make minifigs packs in generic themes so I can populate my MOCs. Or, I will keep on buying sets for parts I find useful and use Bricks and Pieces, PaB, BaM and Bricklink for other things to supplement my building supplies. I am entirely not a fan of Star Wars, but even that theme produces parts and prints I can re-use elsewhere. Harry Potter is something I was never into, but there are colours and parts and prints that are great. The list goes on. -

Eurobricks event #15 Windsor - information topic
Peppermint_M replied to Holodoc's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I don't mind skipping Windsor, while it was always a chance for me to have a later start to the day, I do love visiting Munich and the nice scenery of Bavaria. Also, excellent beer It will be good to see whoever manages to make it. Now I just need to wait and see what the GBP ends up like against the Euro... -
Because sometimes I like my fantasy music to be Power Metal and sometimes I like it to be Electronica. Really, seeing as the foundation of the music I love has been built upon a firm foundation of Electric Light Orchestra (Time is a sublime album) there are a lot of genres I love.
