good spot! I will be retrofitting my entire CS moonbase staff when these babies come out. I am a massive fan of lego aliens in general, this fellow doesn`t do it for me yet.

What's the best Minifigure ever made?
robuko replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in General LEGO Discussion
There was the insectoid queen There are so many excellent figures now, we are really in a golden age now. I have to go with the classic spaceman. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion

All look super. Early leak - Conspiracy theory or cock-up? Conspiracy theory says S3 is not very exciting, S4 is great, so release S4 leaked shots just before selling S3 to boost S3 demand from completists. I like all of the series 4. My surprise hit army builder is the hockey player, for the epaulettes. My favourite is hard to choose, but it has to be the geisha. -
What a great contest this is! And great banner too. Sadly I am emigrating in 28 days - build now or choose blocks for later, what a choice. I take it this does not have to be a canon scene? And I know Jango already asked, but other locations are allowed? This is maybe a geek too far, but does this refer to any specific year's Winter? eg we know that in 1993 they were all at Hogwarts at Christmas but by 2000 Voldemort was defeated and by 2010 they all have toddlers. many thanks, Robuko

I store by set and I know others do too. I am going through my new sets and I am wondering, why does it make sense for me to open up some plastic bags and tip everything into a new ziploc plastic bag for storage? Please lego, ship your sets in a ziploc bag in the first place. If they were printed bags with set description and code, that would be awesome.

This Lego Star Wars Set Is Not So Bad After All
robuko replied to commanderneyo's topic in LEGO Star Wars
7263 Tie Fighter. Got it for Christmas, I thought I already had it in 7262 so I put it in the attic and it sent me into a mini dark age. Years later, literally years, I found out it was a LUL -
This sucks. The only answer is to boycott magnets. I wonder how TLG will know if this pushes sales down (less demand for lame products) or up (some AFOLs will buy sets instead of magnets). Starting off with PQ is an interesting test because the Mummy and Anubis figures are good and would have sold very well if they were not glued.

This is not especially helpful feedback, but Hispabrick is brilliant. I love having the variety of topics, as having ideas jumbled together increases the chances of the creative spark. Great interviews in this edition too. Thank very much to the producers.

simply brilliant. Great concept, beautifully done. The big challenge now is to make a 6-design puzzle using each face of each block Anyone got the skills? (I know I haven't!)

LEGO Ambassador Program - help me petition for a Doctor Who LEGO theme
robuko replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Signed. I am a Brit, but Mrs W is a fan and she's Japanese. It shows occasionally on Disney channel here (Christopher Eccleston). -
It`s listed on Kiddiwinks at ZAR 1174 which I think makes it around $100/GBP100 size - could be quite promising

The Falcon is about the same price as Diagon Alley so I guess $150. I am very much hoping that buys more than the 985 pieces in 4504. I didn't get 10179 as it's just too big (which I am regretting now!) so I am really looking forward to the new one. I just watched the CW episode with Luminara in her sunglasses (she's really a lame character, leaves her paduan to die, then gets captured). The battle on Geonosis set would be better if it included Poggle. Hopefully the Geonosian starfighter will have new Geonosians.

Jonwill, have a look at brickset.com and browse for 2011

I saw Deathly Hallows last night (in 2D), it was awesome. It was much much better than I feared from early reviews. By far the best of the David Yates films, it captures the book very well, and is edited very well. For the first time, all of the lead trio deliver really great performances. Weak points - They could have done more with the government being the bad guys, and Bill Nighy was unusually poor. Strong points - well, judge for yourself. As a massive Harry Potter fan, I am awarding it a full :classic: :classic:

Which is your favourite upcoming Lego minifigure in 2011?
robuko replied to commanderneyo's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A lot of great figs this year. So far, Jar Jar, you`re a genius -
I hope this is true, thanks Fugazi and Sajer. I would love to see another space theme, and more aliens I really hope they can be friends with the humans again like Life on Mars or at least each faction has both humans and aliens. The colonial narrative of Atlantis and Power Miners gives me little hope of this though...

Could you please explain why? I would guess that moulding and printing machines, inks, and plastic are pretty much globally priced. Other factors of production such as labour, land, credit may be cheaper in China but would they would make a significant difference to such a capital-intensive, high gross margin business model as Lego's?

Technic Lamborghini Countach LP400
robuko replied to skyliner's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Sweet! Lovely build skyliner. Do the butterfly doors open? Miura next? -
These all look good, and reasonably priced too. Aimed right at minifig collectors. I am loving the new printing technology that enables a very complex shape like the gungan heads to be printed in multiple colours. I hope it can be used for flat panels too; there has been no excuse for some of the stickers in recent years.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
robuko replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
What a great find! Werewolf, mad professor, monster, together with mummy and vampire sounds like remakes of the best of Studios. I really like it that there are themes of characters within each release. Series 3 is ok but not as imaginative as 1 or 2 so I was going off the collectables, but this has got me interested again. -
In the time vortex, I guess. Hope he has the 1.21 Gigawatts required to return

Just read the whole topic from the start. Many many thanks def and Oky. Season 2 starts (again) on Cartoon Network today in Japan

4888 is an amazing set for MOCing and easily adapted to minifig scale. Crab crusher is fine but nothing special
