This is my first post on eurobricks, and I thought this would be a nice way to introduce myself. I have recently finished my first real MOC. It is a model of Stephenson's Rocket as it was built in 1829. The locomtive itself is quite small which made it difficult to get the right shape, and still be able to add the details. However the biggest challenge was not the locomotive itself but the tender, since I really wanted it to have the same timbered structure as the prototype. More phots can be found on Brickshelf: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=525528 Comments and feedback is most welcome.

EB Xmas Raffle 2015 - Your ideal Christmas tree entry thread
TheLET replied to CopMike's topic in LEGO Town
Here is my Christmas tree, just a normal tree with some nice red and gold decorations. -
The work of Escher always captivated me, and seeing his work in Lego from is great. Thanks for sharing this work. Zanna, I'm really impressed with your render, you really captured the atmosphere of the real work. And I really like the way you included the Lego Mona Lisa and the yellow man in the paintings on the wall.

Awesome, really impressive use of parts!

Nice MOC, you really captured the atmosphere of a 50's dinner. I really like that both the interior and exterior are very detailed and the juke box and those seats are really nice

It looks really nice, I like the throne with the different corners and all little golden details. And Thror looks amazing, you really captured his posture.

Most of those version looks quite nice, I wonder how a dark red one would look like. I also found a tan version on brickshelf.

Great work with so much attention to detail. You include so many great little details without scarifying the smooth look of the model.

Great little scene and the beautiful lighting! I also like your use of the brick profile parts as books, it works really nice.

This looks great! I like the details in the temple wall and the roofwork. It took me a few moments before I realized that the sky was also made of Lego, but the effect is amazing.

Super Mega Steam Power Train Builder-- LEGO(R) IDEAS(tm)
TheLET replied to James Mathis's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Great model, I really hope that this idea gets enough support. The modular design is really clever and definitely gives the model so much more possibilities. I like how the different combinations of modules all have a distinct look while having the same basic modules. Very well done. -

Thanks for organizing the raffle again! For Christmas I like to get a Lego set, so I made a micro version of set 79013 lake-town chase. -
Here is my entry to MEC Category B. The war of the ring is over and the Hobbits have returned to the Shire. Sam returns to his old home where he enjoys working in his garden. Legolas and Gimli are traveling through Middle Earth together. One day they come to the shire. So, while Sam is working in his garden he gets an surprise visit from them. More photo's are on flickr

Very nice design. I like the different angels used in the model and it definitely has the crocked look of Rhosgabel. It's great how you cramped this details in such a small model. And I also like the spiders design, it is simple but effective. You also recreated the feeling of an official Lego set. I like the hidden gem playfunction, it's just something I immediately associate with real Lego sets.

Very recognizable, you really captured the feeling of the game. The stone pattern is really good and I like the details from the game, such as the potion, the torches and the spikes.

The patentee locomotive was a 2-2-2 locomotive designed by Robert Stephenson Company in the 1830's. It was on of the first locomotive types to be built in large numbers. Different versions of this type of locomotive were used in many countries. Examples of this type of locomotive include the Arend, one of the first steam locomotives in the Netherlands and the Adler. The Lego model is 8-studs wide, and uses BBB medium and xl size wheels. The two front wheels can move inward allowing the locomotive to negotiate curved tracks. The locomotive is not motorized. More pictures can be found on Flickr.

Thanks for your replies. I'm glad you like to model. The tiles are connected with these parts to a technic connector with 4 bars. For those who are interested you can see the construction in this picture. It is display only, it has no structural value.

Great work, I really enjoyed it. The animation is fluent and the voices and the effect are very well done. I will definitely watch your other videos too.

This looks great, the roof technique is really clever. The curves in the roof look great, and you added so many great details like the waterline, the crab and the palmtree.

Wow, this is amazing. Not only the patience needed the build these models, but also the creativity. I really like the Colosseum and the solar power plant, it is really impressive what you can create with just one type of part.

Great work, I like all the details and structures in the architecture. The scenery around the chapel looks great too, especially those trees look great.

Very nice moc! The trees, plants and the use of colors in the buildings are great. I especially like how the roof techniques, and how it captures round and curved shapes.
