Paul cantu replied to z_zadar's topic in Pirate MOCs
Woah, those gates look extremely realistic. GREAT JOB! -
Visiting The Amsterdam, 23 August 2009

That looks like so much fun! That is the best kind of reference there is. -
Now taking YOUR ideas for NEW PARTS - LAST DAYS!
Paul cantu replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Pirates
Wigs-They would be great to use on governors, admirals, and other wealthy towns folk. New beards-I would love to see some beards like the dwarf's beards that don't go all the way around the head. Or simply add more colors to the classic beard like black and brown. Small swivel cannons-These would be great to put on small ships and on the rails of large ships. Larger hull pieces-These would be great for those people building large ships. Long shiny swords-They would be perfect for high ranking officers. More types of guns- A longer pistol and a musket would be spectacular and would add a greater variety of weaponry. Silver and gold coins-The pirates need treasure! A globe-The captains need more navagational tools. -
I completely agree! Something needs to happen. The tournament was going so well then just died.

Well done. I love all the decals and the coonskin hat is great! The crocidile cannon is also a really nice undercover feature. USA! USA! USA!
-
This is nice! I really like the water and some of the dtails on the buildings are great. I like the use of the classic colors but the buildings look a bit too cartoonish.
-
That is hilarious!

Woah! This looks perfect! I really like the hardcore agents look on the exterior. I also like all the interior details such as the arcade, the pool table, and the plants. Super Creation!

I really like the way you built the garage door. The coca-cola sign really makes this moc lively. The pay phone looks fantastic.
-
This is amazing. I saw this on brickshelf and was fascinated. I think you've built the best minifigure sized car. The T-Rex is also awesome and the rain really gives this moc a realistic effect.
-
This is another cool African moc. It is really cool how you've ventured into a topic and theme that no one else has previously thought of. I would love to see you build an African city with African versions of lego sets. Great Job!

The faces you chose for the gangster minifigures are awesome. I really like the design of the car and have some suggestions. I think you should put a black tile across the top of the wind shield because the clear studs sticking up doesn't fit with the sleek look of the car. Also the car might look better if the white part was changed to black. I can't wait to see your larger moc.

Those are the best lego guitars that I've ever seen. The variations in colors look sweet.
-
Those are some cool changes. That's what is great about lego if something isn't quite right you can change it to fit what you invision.
-
This is really cool. I like how huge the minifigs are compared to the castle.
-
This is great! I like all the spider webs and the overall look of the moc. The door leaning sideways is a really nice touch. Great work.
-
Spectacular! I really am amazed at how you built such a great castle on such a small baseplate. I really like how you incorperated the tan and green bricks. The red windows are easy to have and they don't look out of place on the castle. I also like the diagonal building that connects to the tower, it looks fantastic. Good luck with the challenge.

Great job! I am going to order the Tic Tac Toe and if there is a problem I will complain too. We need to fix the problem and the only way is to contact TLG.

Could a LEGO Pirates TV show really exist?
Paul cantu replied to Imperial Governer's topic in LEGO Pirates
I don't think it would work out too well. If it was historically accurate kids wouldn't want to watch but then again lego does have a sense of humor so it could work. Overall I just don't see it happening. -
That is the exact same way I got my first set. I always was a fan of legos and saw the cereal promotion and got my mom to order it for me. I was 7. Then I got interested in pirates and got Redbeard's Runner, then the BSB when it came back out and Enchanted Island. The rest is history. I don't own a single classic Bluecoat or Redcoat so it was great when Pirates II came out.

Those decals are out of this world. The U.S. print is great and those frontier scouts are exceptional. I would like to see some of the frontier scouts without the indian pants and compare them. It's all about the Continental Army!
-
That's so true! Your combine harvester was exceptional. We know we had some great mocs so lets leave it at that!

Vig. 88a This is my Redcoat fort for my port. I have been talking about building a port for a while but now have actually started its construction. The fort will sit on top of a mountain that overlooks the beachfront on one side and on the other side overlooks the harbor. I still need more Redcoats Fort Aspiration includes The Governor's Mansion, the port's jail, and the Commodore's office. More at: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=396624 when public

Thanks. I really appreciate the constructive criticism. I too thought that the tower looked a bit out of place and consulted my ever so helpful sister who said it looked "fine" so I left it. It originally was supposed to have small windows but I started to run low on gray bricks so that was the result. I think I am going to leave the tower but might add the smaller windows. I also noticed the cannon thing but left it alone (I don't know why).

This is awesome! I really like all the details on the island. The rocks and cabin look really great!
