Pelly's Paradise: Conclusion: An End to Effort

I knew you knew from the confirmation, but I was hoping someone was anal retentive to correct me. I suppose it fit the game in a really lackadaisical way. Lazy MOC, lazy hosting, lazy Johnny Depp -

The scum shared that with me, and as I told them, the host shouldn't follow the scum board. It gives temptation to adjust the game in ways. Any future hosts out there: don't make the scum's board for them. Let them do it themselves -

The SK should always play as hard town. They aren't scum after all... -

You had the easiest one. The rhyming and Bible talk were the harder ones. I had the same issue with Piratedave's "Not scum = town" logic. No consideration of SK or godfather. My hope was that Zepher was investigated as "not scum" so that we could have had a day six. -

Yes, fhomess and Piratedave rocked it. Really rocked it. Darkdragon did okay, and Walter? Where is Walter?... Forgive me if I don't consider it a town block -

Some of it was missed, but a game is rarely what you hope it will. The fact that no town block emerged was baffling. Hard to believe you didn't read the scum board, since that was my assessment. I would lower it to those alive after day three, minus Bob, Darkdragon, and Piratedave. By fantastic hosting, I hope you are specifically meaning the mechanics and PM stuff. This is the laziest MOC I ever passed off, and the Cosplay theme is only so that I don't have to open the vault and pull out all my individually zip locked figs It works fine to me, but I think the whole set up looks cheap. I'm about the game, not the story though. -
The Story It's the weekend, yet somehow mail has been delivered. fhomess and Mostly Technic are having a Star Wars together. "Yo, holmes, we's is got an invite to a mad shindig! It be called, Pelly's Paradise." fhomess replies, "Pelly? Have I heard that name before? I'm cautiously optimistic." Bob wakes up in his teepee. "Woohoo! Got it going on!" Zepher is sort of pleased, but he isn't going to attend anything without his morning cherries. Brickelodeon opens the letter as she takes in some grog. "Arrrrgh, a parrrrrghty. Me be attending." Dragonator delicately brushes Shadows' soft hair. "Wait, buddy, you know the deal: just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in." And so on for 13 other such vignettes of people getting their invites. Finally, in a high-tech lab, a door opens releasing it's carbon-based contents. "Oh, I need to stretch." Outside a nondescript building, a silent figure watches as people straggle in. "..." Inside an even more nondescript room, everyone gathers. "Looks like someone dipped into the beige bricks," someone observes. Pelly clears his throat. "..." Def speaks up, "Allow me to translate for my associate here. In this game, I will be his spokesperson." "..." "Welcome to Pelly's Paradise. "A beige room is paradise?" someone yells. "..." "He chose the name more for alliteration purposes," def explains. Pelly continues. "..." "As you may have guessed, you will be playing a little mafia here." Some not so surprised gasps flutter through the room. "What if we don't want to play a game to the death?" somebody boldly asks. "..." "Um, he said, uh, there was poison in the invitation letters, so you have to play to the death or the poison will kill you. Or something like that. Anyway, you're going to play." "..." "As well, he would like me to tell you that we will be starting shortly." Nobody gasps at that. "..." "And finally, he requests that you drop your accessories off with me before we begin." Huh? The Story Lind Whisperer is pretty satisfied with his performance. "I was suspected from day one, and got lynched on day four! Nobody investigated me! No night actions on me! I was lynched purely for being scummy! Um, wait..." In walks the face of doom. "..." "...!" Pelly is done. Night time. Bob and Mencot, out on the town. Er, out in the small room. Bob is elated. "I haven't haz any night pictures yet. Now is time for me nice!" Mencot concurs, "Reggil pifuta;d sheiry!#" Of course, they never hear the steps behind them. In fact, they barely hear the sound of their heads being taken off. Bob utters his last words, "I am night killed, me haz happy. Bob is death worthy!" Mencot says stuff too. "Asdfliyflyuvkjhslue! Nbv! Morning comes. Pelly uses his wit, "..." Def steps in, "Ah yes, you lynched well! Congratulations. But you are down two townies, and, if you haven't already clued in, a SK walks among you. So, some of you are town, some of you are not. Figure it out." Costumes In the first 24 hours of the game, all town players must wear a costume. Scum may or may not wear a costume. Costumes will be offered in two shifts, roughly 12 hours apart from each other. There will be two separate assortments for each shift. Players may not wear the same costume on consecutive nights. Players who choose not to select their own costume will be randomly assigned one from the remaining stock. The Story Night has come. Dragonfire takes a stroll, enjoying the change in coifs. Unfortunately his strut doesn't protect him from the shrouded figure behind him. Meanwhile, Fhomess takes some pride in how badass he looks in Magneto's helmet. This too offers little protection. In the end, there are merely noggins remaining on the floor. And Mostly Technic! He got died too! His hair was so beautiful, but it couldn't be helped. Come the morning, Pelly looks upon the game he has wrought. "..." def fills in, "four dead, three townies down. The crowd is divided, but in the end it's fallen onto Walter. "Why have you chosen me to die, Is it because I didn't play? I want to know the reason why I will be killed this day? I cannot be blamed for desiring not to rhyme. This curse was lame(d) and it takes way too much time." def is unimpressed with this. "No, too little, too late. Pelly is preparing a special death for you." And with that, a metal clank reverberates upon the hardwood floor. "Ack! A sentinel! It can't be so! What an evil thing to send Pelly must assuredly know the Flash is not a mutant!" With that stretched rhyme that ignores natural inflection, Pelly grows tired, and shows Walter the ability of his fully working Sentinel costume. All that remains is Mary Jane's Lovely Locks. Get your night actions in! -

The Story Night has come, and all through the building, people are tiptoeing around. JackJonespaw is pretty happy with his lot in life, having been able to vote on two lynches. He never hears the padded steps behind him until the last second. "You chose the wrong boyo to mess with! I have Indy's sword!" he cries. It's a prop sword. Meanwhiles, Shadows is playing with his toy guns. "Pew pew pew!" he says. Behind him, a darker shadow approaches. And Lady K makes Curly noises from the Three Stooges. "Nyuk nyuk nyuk!" The end result? Three heads, arranged on the floor. Morning comes, and the remaining crowd assembles, including one figure added for humour, and not intended to be some sort of clue. Pelly is pleased. "..." "Pelly would like it known, old Tammo was truly a scummo. Unfortunately for you, these three heads on the ground are not. Good luck to you today!"
