Picture of what the ship looks like in Star wars:
I was hoping that the new version of the Sith Infiltrator would be an improvement over the last two, but this one looks like a downgrade. For me its the shaping and the price.
-
The BTAS Wall art looks great, but there are several things that bug me about it.
1. Minfigures: for a $300 dollar set that only has 4 figures, all the figures should be CMF quality.
2. Stickers: for the price they should all be prints.
3. What we could have gotten: this cost about as much as a Ninjago City modular and I would rather have Gotham City in that style.

I'm hoping if the Tower sells well Lego does an Icons Balrog vs Gandalf Bridge set.
-
The only two rumors I can think of is a buildable green goblin and the X mansion.
-
Looking at the leaked X Mansion picture, the minifigures were:
Red Suit Magneto
Professor X
Cyclops
Emma Frost
Wolverine
Black Suit Storm
Beast in lab coat
Sabertooth
All blue Mystique
-
The new blackbird is an improvement over the old (which I own), but the price is to high ( I will wait for a discount). The only other set I like is the War Machine Mech, which made me think, wouldn't it be cool if Lego made a Sentinel Mech, with a Sentinel minifigure and a big Sentinel body.
-
I will still probably buy the Tower, but I have mixed feelings on the minifigures, partially because theres so many of the same character (4 tony's, 2 Caps, 4 Chitauri) and the omission of characters like Bruce Banner, Quicksilver and Iron Legion Drones.
-
quick rant, after seeing the minifigures from the Goat Boat and from WF sets, it kind off makes me mad about the Sanctum and how little effort Lego put into those figures.
-
Its funny how the 4+ AT-ST is more complete than the First Order AT-ST.

or you could have him be crazy old grandpa, who thinks he's a wizard.

I thought they were going to use this as the wizard, its from pick a brick.

From the pic showing the back of the open castle, there is a section in the middle that looks like the outside of the castle. This makes me think the outsides fold in, but do not quite meet in the middle on the back.
watch the last video to see the courtyard.

Defender Strange hair goes from pulled back and slick to messy.
I was wrong about what set the DD teaser was in.
-
we will eventually get a Morbius (comic version) because lego teased Dare Devil in some news papers in the Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider set and we eventually did get him.
Reference:The Daily Bugle has a screen inside with Mordius on it

Here are my thoughts on the Sanctum:
Build: after finding the concept art for the building, which I think was used in Doctor Strange 1, the build looks fine and so does the interior.
Minifigures: here is were I have a problem with the set, the minifigure are ok at best.
Ironman's fine but I don't think he should be in this set.
Spiderman, same opinion as Ironman.
Ebony Maw, while they got his skin, face and shirt right, no leg printing and no hair make him look unfinished.
Mordo, looks unfinished, should have had dual molded black and Sand Green legs with printing.
Dead Strange, eyes should be very light blue or grey, needs a cape of the Damned and a different hair piece. note: color in the movie makes his outfit look Black and Red (which I prefer) but I have seen pictures of his outfit being dark blue and Red.
Wong, needs leg printing and hair.
Scarlet Witch, needs leg printing and a new hair Tiara mold (the current one is terrible when compared to old crown hair pieces).
Doctor Strange, looks fine.
Sinister Strange, needs a different hair piece.
One of the things that bugs me about this set is lego was at first going to charge $210-$220 for this set, then changed it to $250, for $250 This set should not have minifigures that look unfinished.
-
I think the set is based off this concept art
-
I have been trying to figure out ways to improve the minifigures, here's what I have com up with so far:
Dead Strange/ Zombie Strange:
Outrider Arms and back piece, with a bunch of arms added
Doctor Strange Hair
Sinister Strange:
Superman hair
Ebony Maw:
Doctor Who hair
Mordo:
Vicki Vale legs
-
After looking at some pictures of Zombie Strange, it looks like a lot of toy companies made him grey
-
My thoughts on the Sanctum minifigs so far:
Zombie Strange: the suit looks fine but the skin color throws it of, his skin should have looked more like this
, I hope he comes with his cape of the Damned.
Wong: looks ok, but I hope he has leg printing and hair like the last 2 Wongs.
Sinister Strange: this one looks fine to me.
MoM Strange: probably the same as the one in the Gargantos set, which looked fine.
Spiderman: looks good.
Ebony Maw: ok, needs leg printing and hair.
P.S. I kind of wished they replaced Iron man and Ebony Maw with villains from NWH (Green Goblin, Sandman, Lizard, Electro, Doc Ock) or the 2 other Spider Men.

Anyway, is the rumored 2022 Ninjago City set actually happening?
My guess is people thought Monkie Kid Lantern City was part of Ninjago City, because it is similar in design.

The Lego Employee set comes with Santa Garmadon, all the golden ninja including Wu, Misako and 2 serpentine.
-
-
The Icons set is a really nice display piece, but a pass for me.

Dareth's Dojo was in Ninjago City Docks.

one thing I think would have been a good idea for this year, instead of another UCS Tie fighter, how about a UCS Sith Infiltarater for the 25th anniversary.
