    pirates (game)

i found myself fighting more than gold collecting too. However i have always liked pirates and was lucky enough to get some lego pirates sets at a garage sale lol. However our local leage has died down. Someone mentioned a pirates of the carribbean game, which one is it (theres about six of them)

    French Army

I was merely speaking as to the coloration of the uniforms, i believe the bluecoated lego figures more symbolize the english naval officers, however they can be used as french as well. I am only so specific, because i'm a french and indian war renactor, and i see alot of uniforms from alot of different wars.
  4. Like i said it will take me about a year or two to set up shop, but when and if i finnaly open, im afraid i will be completly flooded. However if possible, i would like to offer instead of a cash system, the option to trade pieces for my wares (im really low on pieces, really low) would you think this would go over well?

    LEGO Pirates Movie!

I havent watched it yet, im downloading it. Just out of curiosity what softwares did you use to create it, and on what platform. I make movies too, i just finished a version of beowulf with legos (a readers impression on how it should be not neciscarily how it exactly was), my favorite softwares are sony vegas movie studio (sound film editing) fxlab pro (special effects) Blender (3d animations water ect) photoshop cs3 (cover art/posters). Also what framerate did you use in this stop motion animation its great.

    French Army

I hate to be a historic party pooper, but they dont look like the french, the uniforms are to mediocre, the french army uniforms were dark blue or a very light blue with white trim for army and red for artillary.
  7. I hope to be selling these pices within a year or two, yes that is a fairly long time, but i just cant open up shop anytime before then. Like i mentioned before if you get me a blender file once im in buisness i can make you that piece. I noticed davy blocks posted the link to blends website, and it free and fairly easy to use once you get used to it (thats redundant). I just saw the idea for a globe, thats an awesome idea, but a bit harder because it must be multi colored so if that piece went into production you might have to paint it or pay more, because multi color castinng is harder. Also i want to make a volley gun and pepper box, along with better grapling hooks and belaying pins, and possibly a new mast series (completly customizeable by the purchaser, however possibly more costly)

USS Constitution: a work in progress

Wow amazing, thats a verry nice model, i wish i had as many bricks, so that i could try some large scale models such as that. however on a limited income.... However it looks great and as sly owl mentioned, its gonna be hard keeping that thing dust free. The bow looks amazing, i love it. What type of cannon are you using? (sorry if u posted this erlier, but i didn't want to go through 14 pages of piratey goodness :) )

    Pirates movie (WIP)

I like stop motion animation, i greated an award winning 15 min short called nobeards map, the plot was desighned to be intense, however, the plot is hard to transfer to the audience by the use of legos, expecially talkind. My next film wil involve a ton of greenscreening (picked up at goodwill :pir_laugh2: ). However be wary it takes alot of time my fim included over 5000 pictures and took months to make. Software i would recomend for all movie making vegas movie studio 8 Blender (?) FX lap pro (insane special effects cannon blast to lightsabre) some othe sony programs that i forgot their names Plots, well i can't hep you alot there I have little free time right know and am working on my own, for the production of a playtmobil roman movie entitled "III" (instead of 300) the battle of monopoly.
  10. i like the candles and the baskets and basic items, i think they will sell well. I agree with the others i was intending to make a doubled barreled pistol, for my scarlet pimpernel figure. I was also planning on making high colars, and cravat's for an aristocrat styled person. someone mentioned atificial limbs, thats another good idea. Basically the obhects i want to make are simple enough to be cast in a two piece mold or a three piece no more. How i create stuff is i use a free software called blender to make a 3d model of the item, then along with dementions i send the file to get rapid prototyped with a 3d printer, from this i create my molds and start casting. I hope to hear more ideas as well! when i finish my 3d creations i will post some picture of them rendered. if you want i can post a link to blender so you can try your hand at 3d modeling.
  11. well will lego add the new pirates pieces into ldd, there is a spot where yoiu can leave feedback on ldd, and i am making shure i put in a word for the pirates!

    Your First Pirate Set!

My first major set was the imperial flagship, folowd by the imperial trading post and the pirate island (from a garage sale $30 for both!)
  14. As in previous post i mentioned that i can make pieces, i would like this community's input as to what to make, i might consider going into buisness ish maybey in maybe a year. heres what i would like to make -new cannon 6pownder, 12 pounder, 24 pounder, 36-40 pounder (fort gun), and 2 sizes of moartars for bomb ketches -these would be more realsitic, with new carriages -swivel gun -new pistols and rifles (with bayonetes) -varios belt clips shoulde clips and harnesses to hold stuff -chainshot, solid shot, grape shot, and powder bags for all connon calibres -a couple of new hats -possibly (maybe not) a new hull piece for exbec's maybe new style window pieces for cabins (more ornate slantted back/out) What are your opinions/ ideas? i will add more as i think of them

    7. Fat Tony - Pirate's End - 1st place 30. Erdbeereis1 - A Pirate's Death -2nd place 15. Cpt. Jr - Mademoiselle Guillotine -3rd place Pirates end is just a great classical piece, it depicts the great impending doom that would befall many a pirate, and this is well expressed. The crow and the man in the chains add to the man hanging at the gallows, a great piece. A pirates death is another great depiction of a hanging, i thing the heads were chosen well, and i believe that the brittish figure is from the new sets? Madimoiselle Guillotine (yes i voted for my self) i think deserved a rank in here, partial because i am bias, and partial becauuse it depicts a relatively different way compared to others of cruelty and evil being done, and realy got some good gore into it. however as a result the picture is blurry. and thanks to the admins who put up my entrue, when i could have resized it but was foolishly playing roblox and forgot about everything else important to me.

    Governor's End

The desk is awesome. the inkwell and quill make it great. Not directly showing cruelty, however it alludes to it, maybe find a way to get blood in there.

    Mademoiselle Guillotine

Vig. 25c I took alot of pcs so here's a link Guillotine pics The new french government has exicuted this pirate for accepting brittish bribes to try and smuggle aristo's out of france I can't believe no one used a guillotine yet. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Bobthesh...ll/100_4800.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Bobthesh...ll/100_4793.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Bobthesh...ll/100_4795.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Bobthesh...ll/100_4798.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Bobthesh...ll/100_4801.jpg

    Pillaging and Liberating (Final)

I love it, it follows the topic to a tee, theres cruelty and bloodshed along witha bit of humor. I like the use of board members in the moc. There is only one thing that i would sudjest changing, and that is thhe one rifle, that is from the western series that the marine on the lighthouse was holding, other than that i hink it is the best one that i have see. Oh, and the story line was verry good too.

    Rated R

I like the ship hull, and the useage of faces and hair. The torso seem a bit plain/generic but otherwise i think that its prety good.
