  1. Cheers! Here is the test video. I had a lot of fun testing and it held up extremely well. I estimated the best angle it managed was about 51 degrees. I think it can do better with a more gripper surface. Please sign in and Rate, Comment and Subscribe! I spent most of the day making this video, LOL.
  2. Should have a short video up in about 4 hours times. Thanks for all the nice comments!
  3. I will Zblj tomorrow! And thanks too. Thanks, I just looked, and unfortunately it wont, cos of half a stud! When I lower it tomorrow, hopefully it will. Yes they are the unimog rims, and I will find a link to those tires, I paid around $5 AUS which is pretty good!
  4. Thanks, I assembled them myself. From different shocks, the black ends from some old bike sets.
  5. LOL, I wish, but you just gave me an awesome idea! I will build a test track from chipboard with hills and stuff, and put some cheap sandpaper over it as grip.
  6. HAHAHA, Thanks mate! I know I want to make a video baddd, but the cool rocks are far away....
  7. There are adapters for the NXT motors to fit to more regular PF connections. Dang should have mentioned that. Thanks!

    Supercar: WIP

Noooo, don't scrap it, I love Ford Capri's!!! Did it really have leaf springs tho????
  9. I was planning on building an elevator later this year hopefully with nxt or Ev3. There is an awesome vid on youtube somewhere where a worker above the elevator records in HD how everything works. If I find it I will link it here. Apart from that all I know is you will need a counter weigh the the lift itself.

    What about spraying parts?

I have thought about spraying parts, I wanted to make a white frame for my crawler but there are not white connectors and it will look stupid otherwise. @ jon. If you use good paint I don't see why it would come off, like citadel paint. I need an airtank to test, anyone lend me one????? you know 1 x 11 orange goes for like 7 E each, used on BL??? I know they only come from one 2002 model now, but geez......
  11. Wow that is really interesting, keep up the good research! I don't have a rpm reader so can't try these things. Don't worry man, I have a LOT of experience with pinion gears and such.
  12. WOW. that's a really interesting test, so the weaker magnets equal higher RPM? I'm hoping that with a bit of "force" it will fit 2mm, hahaha.
  13. NIce model! I think that's a good effort for 8 hours. So I'm guessing that you are Australian? From that link.
  14. WOW, thanks David! I wonder what the Aussie equivalent would be? Baking soda?
  15. Heres the motors that are available of the shelf here in OZ. Im thinking the ym-2716 as it is 27mm dia, so will fit inside 4x8x4 studs, and has a draw of .28a so 2 could be powered by a battery box and still be almost twice teh power of the RC motors.
  16. yeh a 64 Lincoln Continental is awesome! Deff my fav with suicide doors. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2359192/1964-lincoln-continental/
  17. Such a stunning crane! It looks fantastic, you did a great job on it, well done. The amount of weight it can lift is awesome!
  18. That is sweet! Very very cool. When I think of lowriders, I think of very wide low American cars with a soft top down. I really hope you come up with something like that. Good work tho!
  19. OK cool 800ma it is. So if you want 2 of the most powerful motors per battery box you really can't exceed 280ma per motor. Yeh my motor is a dud, i can see the magnets inside are not alighted, obviously not glued in correctly. and its making a screechy sound now. hahaha My local electronic store sells good motors, I will post there data sheet soon. trying to get one that's 27mm dia, so will fit in a 4 x 8 battery box (old one) Thanks for the info
  20. Yes, I agree too. From all my old Lego only white seems to be really affected by UV, turning yellowish.
  21. Really? can you show a picture of that please?
  22. Thank you very much, but the "closer" folder is not public. :)
  23. I sure wouldn't mind more pics, of the truck wheels off and suspension, if you don't mind. Cheers
  24. I really first noticed it on the Unimog, all those different shades of orange, Kinda ruined the biggest set ever! At the moment I have a huge collection of dark bluish grey plates from all over the world. Putting them together is a real pain as I have to blend from lightest to darkest. I really hope they improve this soon. Thanks for that! I now feel "informed". So there was a great war in 2004! Yeh I missed that....
  25. The chassis I'm making involves both new and old technic, a challenge to combine, but fun trying! I'm hoping to study some of your pics to help my problems. Just remembered Jeremy Clarkson "tested" a Magnum on Topgear. haha
