LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors

If you're in this business for any length of time, you learn that sometimes, you lose. Trite, but true.

LEGO Star Wars 2013 Pictures and Rumors

Got my reply from Lego: So, that's that. If I were a betting man, I'd say that it'll appear over here like the White Mando and Shirtless Maul - free with purchase from toy stores. But I'm not a betting man, so if anyone's willing to help a Euro out, please drop me a PM.
  3. It's the one he flies to Utapau to ambush Grievous. You see it for all of 10 seconds on arrival, and he leaves it behind after.

    Review: Promo Chrome Gold C-3PO

Both of those were very easy to obtain in the UK and Europe. I've got two spare White Mandalorians that I got for free. And while there were more than 10,000 of all of the promo figures - I've seen 40,000 quoted, but I don't know how accurate that is - the Gold C-3P0 was the only one that you could either get at random or off of eBay/Bricklink. I believe that the 501st got the excess 3P0s too.

    Review: Promo Chrome Gold C-3PO

Are you sure about that? I was fairly sure that Chrome Vader had the same thing, just a lot harder to see. Mine's in a box somewhere, so I can't look for myself.

    LAAT/c HL

Very nice. I really like the extra detailing you put in at the nose and the back. I do think that it would look even better if you reversed the reds, but I imagine that finding that much dark red would be hard. For the record, if the construction is mostly the same as the stock LAAT/c, it can rest on the legs with no problem.
  7. Just got my order - UCS Shuttle and Battle of Geonosis - placed just after midnight on the 4th for delivery to Ireland. No ARF, got a Boba keychain. Sent off one e-mail asking why, got a 'unprecedented demand' e-mail. I was going to send them a more demanding e-mail, but after reading here, I think I'll just settle for 'pissy' instead. I'm cross.

LEGO Star Wars 2011 Pictures & Rumors

It's probably because they're horizontal on the filming model, probably an 'at rest' configuration for forward firing. The real question is when are we going to get a LEGO Falcon whose quads pivot to horizontal.

Exclusive set for Toy Fair 2011

One of these just went for $540 on eBay, with four more active ones being at least $200. I used to be a completest, turns out I've found out what the limit of my completionism is. :-p

Keeping SBD minifigs in good condition

Yeah, that'll happen with that kind of plastic, especially given that, again, they have to flex in order to connect. You should be able to fix that easily enough, though. Can't remember exactly how, but I know that warm water is involved. It's very different to the problem with the SBDs, though.

Keeping SBD minifigs in good condition

It's the swirly metal-coloured plastics. They tend to be more prone to breakage than a solid plastic, and have a pretty wide variation in fragility. And it's not helped by the fact that it needs to be flexed to actually fit it onto pegs. Once assembled, you should be able to stand them up with no problems. Just don't move anything, or take it apart... Normal BDs shouldn't really have that many problems, though.

[Review] 10019 UCS Rebel Blockade Runner

I bought mine a couple of years ago for the ungodly sum of $500 sealed, and I've never regretted it. I've never dismantled it, and am only planning on doing so now because I'm decorating the room. I've put all the stickers on bar the two along the top, it really makes it all look even better. The box difference, I think, is that the B&W only was for S@H orders, while the coloured box was for retail.

LEGO Star Wars 2009 Sets and Rumours

Damn, wish I'd not bought the AT-TE separately as well as the Comic-Con set. Oh well, maybe I'll save it for a few years and sell it off again...
  14. I've been trying to find the STAP building instructions for the Droid Developer Kit that lego put on the DDK website back then. I'm not seeing them on the current Mindstorms site, and can't seem to find them anywhere else...

    Review:10144 Sandcrawler

They wouldn't fit with the set, though. Tuskens wouldn't make any sense, and since the set is depicting the purchase of R2 and 3PO, Sandies don't really fit either. On the other hand, the set should really have had a Beru. We're not likely to get any other sets where she'd fit.

    Review:10144 Sandcrawler

I never had any issues with mine, and it was moved on at least one occasion by an... uncareful person. I have to say, reading your review makes me want to dig mine out of storage and build it again, I always loved this set. So big, yet playable. I'm going to have to hold off, though, or I won't have room for the upcoming stuff.

That Euro price for the Venator seems a little... excessive. Where did it come from?

    REVIEW: Jedi Defense 1 + 2

Not quite. The Jedi Defense one has printing on it as well, while the MTT ones don't, so it is a unique fig. Also, the Obi-Wan torso is unique, since it has his Padawan braid. All other TPM Obi-Wans wear hoods and don't have the braid.
