    MOC building questions?

I can't keep official sets together for very long. mostly because I buy them for a few specific parts that I am using for a particular MOC. as far as interiors go. If I am making a ship or a building, it always has lift out sections and viewable features. The playability is what makes LEGO so special for me.

    My MOC WIP

Looking really great so far. This looks to be an excellent project. I am not sure if your past this or not, but as far as interior bracing and adding a tumblehome, Here is the solution I came up with: It works well, and leaves plenty of interior room for details. Good luck, I will be following this thread with great interest.

A Few Questions About Crewing Your Ships

I use pre-fab hulls because I like the look, and I generally prefer the underscaled cute look that LEGO models usually have. My crew currently consists of: 1 Captain 1 First Mate 5 soldiers 8 general crew 1 midshipmen 1 cook 1 doctor 1 Captains Wife 1 First Mate's Wife Thats a crew of 21 on a ship with 4 midsections.

    The HMS Repentance again

I had been drooling over this MOC for a long time. It is great to see new pictures of her. BTW, I ended up buying the Stephen Biesty's Cross-Sections Man-Of-War book on Amazon just now based on your recommendation. Got overnight shipping, and I am going to get to use it tomorrow on my day off while I continue to build my own ship. Thanks for the inspiration!

    H.M.S. Coconut

I love love love this ship! Great work! I love modular approach. Being able to take it apart like that must be fun for play! (gives me ideas for my own ship.) The only suggestion I would make is removing the ratlines from the front spar. (looks a bit tacked on) other than that, she is a beauty. My favorite part? the little ship models.
