    Krazi Card *3

Hi, As Brickipedia states there are seven of the "special" *-cards in the first Ninjago wave. Some are easy to find. For example *7 is part of a regular set. Others can be quite difficult to get by if you want to complete the collection. I used a bit of time and effort to track them all down using eBay and other online auction sites. For me the *3 Krazi and *5 Off Balance were the hardest to get. What I know is that the *3 was given away by Toys'r'us in Sweden in a Ninjago launch campaign and the *5 was given away in a similar campaign in Australia. And these are also the countries that I found the cards in. Anyway, it took some time but now I have the complete 88 Ninjago cards collection - and even in an official Lego Ninjago card collection binder. Fantastic!!! Actually, I almost got two complete collections but I lack the second *3 card. Now, I will skip Ninjago wave 2 as I think the theme has gone in a completely wrong direction and I do not want to collect any more of those darn cards.

    2011 NINJAGO sets

Hello Mirandir, Do you know if this campaign is still running in Sweden and if so, in which shops? We are going to Sweden this weekend (we live in Denmark and here we have no such campaign), so it would be great to be able to pick these "special" cards up. We have collected the other special Ninjago cards currently available. Two are issued with the special Sensei Wu set (853111). These are a hologram Sensei Wu (number *1) and a gold edition of the Force Field battle card (number *4). Another was given away in a US Toys'r'us campaign but can be found on BrickLink and eBay. It was a gold Flame Pit battle card (number *6). Finally, the Ninjago Trading Card Holder (853114) comes with a hologram version of Kai (number *2). Best regards.

    CITY: Canalview / Kanaalzicht

Hi Brickviller, I love your city layout. The MOCs based on the standard Lego city sets (police, pizza restaurant, etc.) are great. I know it takes more time than you expect to set up a layout and make everything fit with houses, roads and railroad. We have been building on a 2.5 x 3m layout for two years and are not nearly finished yet. Keep up the good work and keep posting photos. Andreas

Thanks for your comments. Sorry about the image size. I have now rescaled the images (and added a few). Andreas

    LAYOUT: Christmas Town 2010

Hi, Here is a small Christmas town layout we have put together during the recent holiday. As you will notice it features some new and old Lego sets as well as a few MOCs: 10199 Winter Toy Shop 10216 Winter Village Bakery 3739 Blacksmith Shop 10193 Medieval Market Village and the 35 year old 133 steam locomotive. Also some small contributions from the recent Advent Calendar sets. So, take a look and let us know what you think. Overview image. Main street. Christmas party with gifts. Ski hill (it works fine - the skiers drive down the hill and almost all the way over to the cargo station ramp before coming to a halt). Fun in the snow. Cargo station. 133 Steam loc. See a lot more photos in better resolution at our Brickshelf repository. Enjoy!!! Andreas & co.

    Lego Agents

Hi, Lego put out some instructions for another design based on the 8635 Mobile Command Center. It was a HQ design split into two parts, a level 1 "Mission briefing room" and a level 2. The level 2 instructions can be found here. Level 1 is refered to as being printed in the November-December 2008 issue of the Brickmaster magazine. I have not been able to find this online. As I live in Denmark I do not have access to the Brickmaster magazines. So, if anybody has the level 1 instructions in electronic form, then please post a link or maybe PM them to me. That would be great. Thanks in advance, Andreas

    REVIEW: 10194 Emerald Night

Hi Panda9001100, Thanks for your info about the problems of running 10194 on the good old 12V tracks. I have build a large 12V blue rail layout with my son (pictures will be posted within the next couple of months) and was considering buying this train as the first new Lego train in 30 years. However, with your info it seems that we saved ourself some trouble and some cash. Too bad. We must reconsider getting the 7897 Passenger Train instead. Do you know if the 7897 train has the same problems with the magnets and the 12V switches?

    LEGOWorld 2009

Hi, We bought our tickets one month ago (for Thursday) and are excited about experiencing it all tomorrow. We live 500 meters from the stadium so no transportation issues here Dennimator, you should try to call "Billetlugen" to make sure about the status of your ticket purchase. Their online system sucks and often fails when they (try) to sell tickets for big events (concerts, etc.). If the system behaved as you described I doubt you have bought any tickets.

Modern Lego trains on old blue track?

Thanks to you all for the replies. We will get the RC train if we can find at a good price.

Modern Lego trains on old blue track?

Thanks for the reply and the link. I am aware that the gauges are the same. However, I am in doubt whether the track profile is too as we have no 9V or RC track to compare with our blue rails. In the wikipedia article they state that the old train may run on the new track but not that the opposite is true (new trains on old track). So, I am still in doubt whether the wheels of the modern trains will work on the old blue/grey tracks without any problems. Regards, Andreas
  13. Hi, We have a rather large collection of the old blue track (on white 8x2 sleepers) system (1960-70s) running on 12V. We are now wondering if the newer train systems (9V and RC sets) are compatible with the ole tracks, i.e. do the new wheels still run on the old system (including switches) without problems. The specific reason we ask is that we are considering purchasing the 7897 RC Passenger Train and run it together with the old 12V trains. Does anyone have experience doing this? Thanks, Andreas
