Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
djmangunz replied to Corvus's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Right. I did catch that bit, however in my eyes there is a difference between talking about the ending to an episode that has been out for a while and dumping the ending of an episode that no one has seen yet. Even in movie threads, most people have the courtesy to put up a spoiler warning when discussing parts of a movie someone hasn't seen yet. I am all for sharing information, I just ask you use a little tact while doing it. -

So what? Last time I checked you were talking about the ending to the Nightsisters episodes which happen to be in season three. All I am asking is for a spoiler warning. Just show some courtesy. I don't think it's too much to ask. -
Yes, I assumed that math was implied. Hence the buy one get one half off.

Wow, those look a little S&M to me. Hey, CommanderNeyo ever think about tossing up a spoiler warning once in a while? I mean, dang man, not all of us want to know the endings to upcoming episodes before we see them. Just as a courtesy to your fellow Clone Wars fans, alright? -
Per FBTB, Toys R Us in the US is having a bogo sale on all Lego sets today with the exception of the Pharaoh's Quest sets. Link to the ad. http://view.ed4.net/v/KK573F/SDJ0G/9766B69/DXQCWV/MAILACTION=1&FORMAT=H?csm=175384530&csc=1256301&csa=172756598&csu=1256384&camp=CME:20101220_Em_TRU_Roto_2DaySale Could be a great way to get some of the new sets, if you are lucky enough to have them in your local TRU.

Thanks KimT. You learn something new everyday.

So, did we ever determine for sure if the Battle For Geonosis is a TRU exclusive? If so, I wonder why it is not up on their website with the other 2011 Star Wars sets.

Yep, that's the one. I am guessing it belongs to a bounty hunter since it doesn't have CIS colors. Wouldn't mind seeing it in Lego form! -

Great video! What I would like to know, is what that new walker thing was at about halfway through the video. Any ideas? -
Wow, Shaak-Ti looks horrible. Something about those gigantic white lips that just look...off. Thanks for the link to TRU. Am I crazy or wasn't the T-6 supposed to be $80 US? TRU has it listed for $60! Are they actually lower than marketplace value or did we get the wrong information about the price?
-
Yep, that's him. He may not look like much but if you watch the show you develop an appreciation for how sweet a character he is.
-
Admiral Yularen in mini-fig form? Now that's a rumor I can jump in bed with! If this turns out to be true, it will almost make up for the massive fail of not including Vos in the craptastic T-6. Almost...

Well, crap. I turn my attention to Harry Potter Lego for a week or two and this is what I miss; new rumors flying everywhere. I find it kind of amusing that some folks have gotten so worked up over if some of the rumors are true or not that they have burned up most of the last 10+ pages debating them. If you have followed this forum for any period of time you soon learn the simple truth that some rumored sets come true and some don't. That's it, and it's no big deal either way. Because in the end Lego is going to make more sets for us to spend money on and some of those sets we will already know about and a few we won't. Either way life goes on, right?

This may have been answered already, but do we know which stores the limited edition Battle For Geonosis will be available in? Specifically in the US? The price leads me to believe it will be limited to Wal Mart because they like to have less expensive special editions compared to TRU.

Please, please, no more politics. I don't see why they think the political storyline will work with a show targeted towards 6-12 boys. That is the whole reason that the prequels were lacking was that Lucas was pushing the political and romantic storyline. That's not what the universe of Star Wars is about. It is about laser swords and fast space ships and blowing planets up. -
Besides the random bullcrap list of future sets we get around here, for the most part our members typically get the rumors right. I am going to believe Poza's source is correct for no other reason than the list is too boring to be made up. If the list was full of crazy sets with twenty obscure minifigures I would disbelieve it, but these sets seem too vanilla to be fake. The Republic Frigate does perk my interest, especially if it comes with some new clone commanders or jedi. And I am going to agree with Supersonic (and all the other people who said it also) that the Frigate will be the Consular-class cruiser. Which could be a nice looking ship, if Lego does it right.

Wow, did Friday's episode suck. All I want is clones blowing crap up. Is that too much to ask? -

That is an interesting idea. Not sure that would go over well with the target audience (of 6-10 year old boys) or their moms. -
I understand. Thanks for the information though.

Clever. According to the Republic Commando novels, the ARC troopers are top dog, then the Republic commandos but according to Dave FILONI (there you go Oky)the Senate Commandos are the best of the best. Personally, I just go with the guys who have the best armor, which would be the airborne troopers in my eyes. -

Good catch on the Senate Commandos not being clones, but you know what I am saying. The dudes who are supposed to be very talented seem to perform like the ordinary grunts. What is the point of having an ARC trooper if he has low-level abilities on the battlefield? Now, I have high hopes for the commandos. But it doesn't sound like they have much of a role in their first appearance. Here is hoping that Dave Feloni will take notice of the fan's interest in them, which it sounds like he has, and puts them in more episodes with a greater presence. -

I have been avoiding this forum like the plague for the past two weeks because I haven't had the chance to see any of the episodes until last night. I thought that Cadets was perfect, one of the best episodes so far, up there with Rookies and Landing at Point Rain. ARC Troopers seemed rushed but still very entertaining. However it never fails to amaze me how Feloni, who I really like by the way, never seems to take the opportunity to allow the specialized clones to stand out. The senate commandos, who were supposed to be the best of the best, were cannon fodder in other episodes. So were the ARC troopers, who were supposed to be second only to the republic commandos in skill. Commander Colt talked a good game, but in the end, they didn't have him do anything really impressive. Supply Lines had the story and set-up to be a great episode, but it fell flat. I know they are trying to mix the types of stories up, rather than just having clones fighting all the time. But it was just slow and predictable until the end. It was a let-down after the great episodes we saw the first week. -
Thanks for the information Arealight. I am sure they will be worth the wait. I know I am asking you a ton of questions but do you have an idea about the cost per printed helmet in US dollars?
-
Great, Arealight. I look forward to seeing the finished product! Do you have an idea of when you would put out the printed helmets?
