I called up my local TRU here in Ohio and asked if they had the sets in. "Oh, sure we do come on down and pick them up." Twenty minutes of frenzied driving in the rain later ans what do I find? Shelves void of any Lego Turtle goodness. I was less than politely informed that they would be in stores tomorrow. I don't do any shopping on Sunday so here's hoping that they will still be in stock Monday AND the $25 off $100 sale will still be going on. That's the only way I can justify paying TRU's inflated prices.
-
And it was the one I wanted the most. FAO Schwarz has some of the smaller sets up with a lower price hike than TRU but Baxter is out there too. I found that some of the TRU licensed exclusives take a while to get in stock.

The sets are up on TRU with the exception of the Sewer lair. But be warned...the prices are infreakinsane. http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=lego%20teenage%20mutant%20ninja%20turtles&origkw=lego+teenage+mutant+ninja+turtles&f=Taxonomy/TRUS/2254197&sr=1 Dang I'm good.

I don't know, maybe they didn't think they would be able to ship the sets by Christmas with that time frame. My only other hope is Amazon, tax free and quick shipping. The only downside is that they won't have the Baxter mech.

Holy crap! That...that's just crazy talk. Looks like Lego.com will be getting my money. I don't order from them often due to their ridiculous shipping fees (which will be waved for this order) and the last time I did it took almost three weeks to get my sets. Anyone know if this is the norm? Or does Lego typically ship faster than what I experienced? It looks like Shop at home just changed the release dates for these sets from December 17th back to December 24th. That is lamesauce. http://search2.lego.com/?q=teenage%20mutant%20ninja%20turtlesā©=2057&cc=US

j2g you lucky SOB. Not only do you get the sets I have been lusting over, first, your MOM goes out and buys them for you. Some guys have all the luck...
-
Thanks for the scan j2g. It seems like you boys in Florida get a lot of the sets first. Between that and the SEC, what else do you need? I call that the sets will be available on TRU.com by this Saturday. ...

So....Lego.com has the TMNT sets listed but not available for preorder yet. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/The-Shellraiser-Street-Chase-79104?ShipTo=US&_requestid=5297814 So come on TRU and please give us a day to buy them up before you jack up your prices 10 to 30%.

Toys R Us has a TMNT Lego poster up for sale. This is similar to what they did with the LOTR posters just before the sets were released. My money would be on TRU having the Turtle sets in the next week or so. About dang time too. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=17370646&prodFindSrc=search And boys and girls...NEVER preorder from B&N. You will be sorry you did. On another note, my thoughts were turning to potential summer sets as they often do. Since Leatherhead is already confirmed to be in the new show (some nice moc-up art here) http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/261/9/6/nickelodeon_tmnt__leatherhead_by_turtletitan97-d5f6s8j.jpg I was pondering how incredibly awesome he would look as a Lego megafigure. Eh? Eh?

Oh, man I love that Vermin Vaporizer! The mech on the back of the buggy just makes the set. I love the robots as well and the fact that Lego has given the humans a very Haloish vibe to them. They just need a large troop transport ship like a Pelican in a future line and I will be a happy man.

So I was able to order the Bag End and Mirkwood sets last night from Kmart. Never bought from them before. I received an conformation for Bag End being shipped but they canceled my Mirkwood set. Called up Customer Service and they told me my Mirkwood set was still being processed despite TWO e-mails from them telling me different. Regardless, they took my money for both sets, so I better have both coming to me...

The sets are up on Kmart's website in the US. I had to check back a few times because they go out of stock and then come back up randomly. http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/search_10151_10104?keyword=hobbit&sid=KAx20061023x272xTier3&PID=5112601&aff=Y Yay for Hobbit sets!
-
Yeah, I don't know about that. The Dutch site has the release date for the four sets as July. Sounds like to me that we are only getting these four this summer. Perhaps the small number is due to the release of the Castle sets so they won't have to compete with LOTR for shelf space?

Well, hell. That's what I get for not paying attention.

Holy crap...it seems no one has seen this yet: LEGO 79008 Pirate Ship LEGO 79007 Eagels Nest LEGO 79006 LEGO 79005 Frodo and Ringwraith It seems as these are the new LOTR sets...goodby money. Edit: But the Eagle's Nest has to be a Hobbit set...is Lego mixing the LOTR sets and the Hobbit ones next wave?

^ Yeah I read that. One of Bob Burden's creations which made a cameo in a few of the TMNT comics. Interesting choice for the show but I hope he doesn't make it into minifigure form On a sad note they did confirm that Usagi Yojimbo (the samurai rabbit) will not make it into the show.Which stinks because he would have been an awesome figure to get. The only gripe I have with a few of these sets are the smaller vehicles. The glider and the golf cart(?) from Baxter's Rampage seem poorly designed. I would have rather they have taken them out and given us two more skateboards and used the pieces to make the mech bigger or given us a few more mousers. The same thing with Don's skateboard creation in the Shredder set. They just seem a bit meh.

I had a fantastic collection of TMNT figures and vehicles as a kid but I sold them all at a garage sale when I was a teenager. The stupidity of youth. But the Rat King is already confirmed for the show so if we get another series of sets this summer, here is hoping for him and Leatherhead who will also be in the show.

I Baxter's mech! And April's minifigure is awesome as well. Please let this line continue through next season when the turtles go into Dimension X. We need a Triceraton minifigure

Rumors of the day boys and girls... http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/11/06/would-harrison-ford-return-for-star-wars-episode-vii http://collider.com/star-wars-episode-7-matthew-vaughn/208715/ Shhhh....what's that noise? It's the sound of your mind being blown....

They could, but check the link, it doesn't sound like that. Plus, there is no way in hell Ford will agree to do another SW film. Plus, do we really want to see Carrie Fisher in the slave Princess Leia outfit now?

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
djmangunz replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
With the Arrow show on CW constantly receiving positive ratings, I would suspect that there may be a good chance to see a Green Arrow figure in a Batman set in the distant future. If not next year, perhaps when the Justice League movie comes out if Lego still has the rights to DC property. -
It sounds like there is a good chance that the next 6 (yes, you read that right, s-i-x) Star Wars movies will feature Luke Skywalker in his thirties or forties. Obviously Mark is in his sixties, so they would need a new face to play Luke. I, for one, am a bit disappointed that they won't just start a completely new trilogy with brand new characters. Something in the far future would have been cool to see. And no Zahn trilogy it seems. Sorry kiddies. Link: http://collider.com/star-wars-episode-7-luke-skywalker/207631/ And Robominer, how can you diss Thor like that? It kicked megablocks compared to IM2 and Captain America.
-
What the Star Wars franchise needs is a talented director to lead it in the right direction. A director who has an unparalleled ability to marry movie magic and action with strong, character driven stories. That director is....Michael Bay. Our savior people! (note: sarcasm doesn't translate well over the internet)

You have your information wrong. Selleck's 'mustache auditioned for the role but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. Plus, he was dating Carrie Fisher and it would have been all awkward ...
-
Good observation and better logic. Let's hope you are right. Glad to hear confirmation that the line is continuing even though logic would indicate that it surely would (muliyear licensing contract). I have to admit that I did begin to panic when all those interweb rumors started flying about..
