    Heroica RPG - Heroica Hall

Em approaches Hoke, drawing out his Balanced Main-Gauche and his Crimson Haze. "That Great Axpeord is quite the blade. Would you be willing to trade for it, friend?"

    Heroica RPG - Heroica Hall

Em jerked awake at his table, briefly disoriented before shaking his head to clear it. He absentmindedly wiped the trickle of drool from his chin, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. How long had he been sleeping? Too long, apparently. He tapped at his belongings, making sure they were all accounted for, and grabbed something to drink.

    Heroica RPG General Discussion

I've got a quest mostly planned out, but I just started a new job and I've been working wonky hours. I haven't been able to hammer out the last of the details, and I probably won't have much time to LDD many sets afterwards. I'll see what I can do, though!

    Heroica RPG - Heroica Hall

Mortimer slowly strides back into the hall, his shoulders tense. He stops by the bar, ordering a tall drink, and shuffles his way to a corner to nurse it, his eyes locked on the contents of the glass between sips.
  7. "When Wally shows up again," Mortimer states, swirling the contents of the vial of venom. "When he shows up again, I'll take responsibility for this. I'll end it." He sighs, shaking his head. He supposed actions spoke louder than words; he knew his promise rung hollow. But it was a promise nonetheless-- He was there at the start, he'd see it to the end. He tosses the Focus Band to Calamity, then nods in thanks to each member of the party, finally bowing his head to Avina. "May our paths cross again under better circumstances," he mutters pensively, pocketing the venom and turning on his heel. He tenses visibly as he strides back towards Eubric, hands clenched into fists.
  8. Mortimer's eye narrows, a scowl tugging at his lips. "Ervie supported her friend, supported a cause she believed in. I see no cause for punishment. What would it solve? They're both misguided, but it seems we all are." He bites down, grinding his teeth, and huffs. "We're a bloody mess. Let's settle down. What's done is done."
  9. "I agree with Calamity," Mortimer mutters quietly, unable to respond to her assessment. "We let her go." He sighs heavily, then turns to Ervie, his eyes downcast. "Did you have faith in us?"
  10. OoC: Generally in quests where a big decision is made, majority rules if characters can't come to a decision 100%. In this case, 3 have "voted" to let Ervie out, and 2 have "voted" to go get Wally. I'd imagine it means we're going to be busting Ervie out.
  11. "It's three to two," Mortimer states, sighing. "We free Ervie."
  12. "Our job was to find the Crown's man, and find him we did," Mortimer counters. "Leaving Ervie to die is pointless. A waste of life. Wally's only a threat to us heroes." He turns to Annienal, shaking his head. "What say you? You're the tiebreaker."
  13. "And it will be finished! But bloodshed won't end bloodshed," the warden snarls, jerking his chin at Avina. "He's after us, Avina. Me. Not you. Not yet. If he comes back looking for a fight, I'll give him one-- but this damn childish farce isn't worth Ervie's life, nor Wally's." He shoots a glare at the caged kobold. "I stand by my decision. We help her out."
  14. Mortimer's shoulders slack, bringing a hand up to his forehead. "Are you serious?" he mutters. His tone is exasperated, tired, disappointed. "Avina, stand down. Let's get her out. Heroes, help me out. Ervie..." He frowns, sighing, dejected. "I'd like to think you did this because you had faith in us. But..."
  15. Mortimer shakes his head, sighing deeply. "Gods, I'm too old for this." "Alright, Ervie. Let's get you out of there. But I want you to explain all this... shit while we do." He gestures rudely at their surroundings. "What'd you say to Wally to piss him off so much, anyways?"
