MOC: TPO Working Royal Mail pick up system
MightySlickPancake replied to Bricktrix's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I spy with my little eye something begining with, new steam layout ? Anyway a very nice carrige, can't wait to see more of these . I can't see in the pictures but is it 6 or 7 wide? Instructions please! :) Thanks, cb -
Thanks guys, I'm glad other people find it interesting. Also what i forgot to say was that with the 12v tracks there is a slight amount you can turn to make small angle. So no curves need to change direction. But 'The Brickster' we can always live in hope that lego will make straight narrow gauge track. @ 'scruffulous' what a great engine , definatly shows the great side of narrow gauge. Thanks, cb

I do agree 'Richie' the curves are quite hard but i found a page on brickshelf that solves the problem http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=386538. Although i havn't checked it for myself i think i would work, but if it does then the only other things are the switching points that need to be sorted. @ 'fred67' I'm think i understand what you mean and it would be possible, but thats the challange with lego rying to make it look right. thanks,cb

brilliant finaly people are making lego trains more realistic and functional. I will definatly be using this in my mk1's (8-wide ) I am very happy to see you've joined eurobricks and i hope you will share more of your models with us. thanks, cb

Hi. I was planning a 8-wide class 22(its a british model) in power functions and i don't want to use the power functions motor because of all the problems. Well i was going to use the pf and 9v conversion wire but lego have removed it from their products. So with no easy way of powering it i am not sure how to get it moving, any ideas fellow euro brickers? there was a way a friend of my suggested, it would mean getting a new and old motor joining them together. Which i thought was a good idea until i checked the length and it was too big to fit inside. if any one would like to see pictures of the 22 i would be happy to get some. thank you for your time, cb

pf to a 9v motor, any ideas?
MightySlickPancake replied to MightySlickPancake's topic in LEGO Train Tech
thanks Allan, i had only checked under power functions i thought i would have been there. Thanks again and sorry for waisting everybodies time. thanks, cb -
I like the sets but they dont do much for me but i think they are a definate improvement to the rc trains. just out of curiosity has anyone noticed the wheels on the freight loco, the left one isnt powerd but looks a different (notice those two grey things). Also the use of fence in the back of the first picture is intreasting. thats just my opinoin feal free to ignore it. thanks cb

I think you will probably need to change the whole thing to a seven wide model just to fit in with the curves. all the best with this project. thanks, cb

Its not really the paintings i find interesting it more the adverts that used to be all over Britian for all those fast steam services, for example: http://gatf.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/tf...w=470&h=592 http://www.travelpostersonline.com/ekmps/s...lways-379-p.jpg http://www.cvphm.org/release/Dscn6358.jpg http://www.culture24.org.uk/asset_arena/9/...9/v0_master.jpg thanks cb

Jamie Berard Appreciation Week
MightySlickPancake replied to Izzy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Tut-tut i am dissapointed that you have only giving him a a week if it was up to me he would clearly get at least a month . no really all his models have been fantstic with no let downs at all . and lets hope he gets one next year . thanks cb -
WOW. Thats amazing it took me a minate to realise that the track is 4-wide and if i am right then you have got two pieces of track side by side and you're using the two inside track pieces.I can't wait for the whole thing. keep up the good work and welcometo eurobricks; cb

Western Train Scenery - With Instructions
MightySlickPancake replied to gambort's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Nice. its as great as ever and as scenery is not my strong point this could be quite useful. The cactus (imho) looks a bit of a funny colour or is it supposed to be like that? Cheers cb -
@legotrainfan- I agree this looks a lot tidier than lego version. nice one , the stickers are great. cb

build a buzz is one of my fav's with those great colours but an awful name sadly . still get him name or no name .
