I've had some ideas for quests for a while, and although I want to get a hang of things and play a few more quests before I run my own, I have a question about a specific race of creatures: Mermaids. In Olegaia, are they more siren like, driving sailors to their doom, or more along the lines of pretty maidens who just so happen to have fish tails?

OOC: Thank you for the heads up, I made a goof, it seems. -

Karie, in bewilderment that she can't hit the persistent arachnid, takes a look at her dagger. "Work! Work you stupid dagger! Stab the stupid spider, than we can deal with... him." She attempts to thrust her dagger throught abdomen of the Weeping Widow from the front row. OOC: Shouldn't the Weeping Widow be at 13 damage, not 14? By the way, really loving the Cymbalroot as an enemy, very clever! -
That's it, it's official, I'm picking this one up. The train looks gorgeus, the minifigs lovelt, and it even comes with track! (that I can't use since I'm running 9V, but whatever)

Karie, frustrated from missing her target, goes in and attacks the Weeping Widow from the front row for a second time. -

"Right, Brickington, Em, and Arnulf, just ensure that no one leaves that Warring Widow open for a free attack!" Karie jabs at the Weeping Widow with her Heirloom Dagger from the front row -

Karie stands up, in defiance and wipes the tears from her eye "Damn it! There goes that plan." She looks at Brickington. "Sorry mate, I didn't want to blow my rouse." She glares at the Apprentice, and lunges toward him, the bars protecting him from Karie's intense stare. SHe smiles twistedly. "Once I deal with your cronies, your going to regret calling me a lab rat, and then, were going to see whose begging for torture!" Karie backs away from the prison bars and draws out her dagger, swishing it around in her hand, flicking her wrist and doing impressive feats with it. She was ready for combat, her ponytail bobbing up and down. "Right, that Warring Widow should be our first priority. We should focus on it first, than move onto the Weeping Widow, since it's healing abilities are going to be a pain. I'm thinking 3 gang up on the Warring Widow, 1 on the Weeping Widow, and 1 on that stupid plant thing for our first attack. -

Karie tugs Brickington's pants, looking for his sympathy. "Please Brickington, I'm your pal right, I'm your friend, than use your chivalry, or whatever it's called and GET ME A DRUMSTICK! Please Bricky!" At this point she's almost on top of him, standing on her tippy toes, a delirious look on her, tears forming under her soft blue eyes. Truly, a pitiful sight. -

Karie begins to wreath in pain, she moves back from the steel bars. "But I'm sooo hungry!" She stares into the Apprentice's eyes, crawled into a heap on the floor, giving him the most pitiful face in all of Eubric, the white paint smearung of and her askewed hair and mask complimenting this dishreveled heap on the floor.. "Surely your master wouldn't want one of your test subjects to be malnourished? Please, one chicken drumstick! Please?" -

"Good lad!" She responsed, and with a pat to his back, she stumbles back to the bars to exact same spot she left. The bars were cold again when she clenched them, even after a few seconds from leaving them. -

Karie, still a little groggy, stumbles backward and trips into Arnulf, and gets close enough that only the two of them can hear what Karie says: "Don't try anything hasty. Be patient." -

Karie attempts to get up and stumbles a bit, not noticing her hair is all askew and that parts of her makeup have rubbed off. She was still groggy from the blow, making her feel a little tipsy. She stumbles towards the bars of the cell, then clenches them. Surprisingly, she chuckles. " "Alias"? HA! Laughable mate, absolutely laughable! HAHA! I gotta say though, I'm more than a little curious. On more than one thing too. That blade, prong thingy-mah- whiz, what's it do, and how does it run? Second of all, loving the outfit. Who you working for, and how do I get one. Thirdly, I'm a little peckish. Got any chicken?" She gives a rather foolish smile. -

Rule of Rogue #17: Never trust the employer. Karie stares at the hooded figure with intent and says to him: " I must ask, Mr. Hooded Figure, what does that large thing in your hand do ( and if your going to do a demonstration, do it on one of the rangers first)." -

Karie stops for a moment, realizing she just said something rather incensitive. But how was she to know? All along she just assumed that Brickington's father was off waiting on some foreign shore, waiting to greet him upon return. It couldn't have been more different. "Yeah, sure, I guess so." Karie keeps quiet, and continues to walk with the others. -

"You were in the wrong place the moment you met me!" Karie snickers. "If you're looking for something poetic, I got nothin', it's what you feel you need to do. Daddy's not going to come running all the way from where ever it is you came from to lull you to sleep. Hold on, something poetic is coming. I'm going to borrow a poetic saying since none come to mind. An old friend told me this: "Greatness isn't counted by the hand your dealt. It comes from how you play it. You follow?" Karie asks. -

Karie stares at the two rangers making weird noises at the spider. "Great, we're being led by spider whispers." Karie snarks. "As to how I got into this business Arnulf, it was Arnulf right? Anyway, when I was younger, you could of called me a bit of a rebel. Going against mom and dad's wishes and what not. So, I flunked out of this upper class school they sent me to and worked as a pickpocket for a while. A bit of singing and dancing on the side, but as of late I've been back at my roots trying to pay for bread, or in some cases steal it. And when news of this "noble" organization came to my ears, I hopped on a boat and kicked the door in to the place. I've heard about you actually, the guy that cheated the monks, right?" Karie continus the conversation with Arnulf as she continues up the path to her "employer", while keeping an eye on the "spider whispers". -

Karie blushes a bit, which is barely visible through the extensive white makeup. "Lady? Jeez, can't remember the last time I was called that." She ponders to herself. "And to you too, good sir knight!" She replies, accompanied by a gesturous, expressive bow. She notices the other rogue in the party. "Arnulf, I presume?" She puts her hand out, expecting a him to respond with a hand shake. Karie is ready to kick sense stealing jerks in the head. (OOC) I will be gone for a little while, so don't worry, I'll be back by tommorow late midday. -
Not even into the first quest, and the possibility of a romantic relationship is looming on the horizon! Loving it so far. As a heads up, I may be a little late, I've got some things to take care of, but I'll be participating by tommorow afternoon at the latest.
-
"Yeah, I suppose so." Karie took a look at the quest board. The name "Arnulf Bishop" stood out. "He's a rogue, isn't he. Ah well, nothing like a bit of friendly competition." She grabs what few belongings and heads for the door, but turns when she realizes she's missing something. "You coming?"
-
Karie looks at the ranger, than back at Brickington. Something obviously was chewing at him. "That ranger causing you any problems?" She asks with inquisitiveness.
-
Karie goes back to fidgeting with her dagger. Up with a backflip, back down, a twist of the wrist, and back into the air. "If by excited, you mean ready to be stabbed, betrayed, and have our senses stolen, than yes!" She remarks sarcastically, smirking. "And you? You feeling up to the task at hand?"
-
"That's cool." Karie responds to Brickington. Suddenly an eruption explodes from inside the Hall. The shriek is powerful for Karie to stop messing with her dagger and look in the direction the ruckus originated from. A Ranger quickly gets up and consoles the woman. After a few minutes she storms out of the hall, passing the duo who are lingering by the bar's entrance. "You know who she is, Brickington?" Karie asks.
-
"Ah, Brickington, was it? Yeah, I did." She swishes the bottle of potion on her hip with her hand. "So, what's going on with you?" Despite having a conversation with Brickington, Karie is fully focused on her dagger, as she flips and tosses it into the air.
-
Karie arrives back from the market in time to have the doors open for her, as a small figure leaves the Hall. The figure leaves with such stride, that Karie almost bumps into the individual. She turns back for a second to double check. "Wait, was that a woman?" She says aloud to herself. "Nah, couldn't be." She finds a spot near the entrance of the bar and begins messing around with her dagger.

Sorry for the late response, just read the responses now! When coming up with the character, sexiness wasn't something I was trying to attain, but in the end, I guess Karie wound up being that. I think playing with that would be entertaining though. As for male rogues, yeah, the more I think about it, there's a lot of them.
