Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion

If we get White Tiger I don't see why TLG would bother with the "ears", or why they would bother to make a new mould for the hairpiece when it is so similar to the Aurra Sing hairpiece. For the "ear", they're so small that no one is exactly likely to b concerned if they are ignored, and LEGO will consider it a waste of time to make a new mould for it.

    Marvel Cinematic Universe

http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/x-men-days-future-past-3412731 Footage of the opening battle of X-Men Days of Future Past has emerged. It seems pretty interesting, and the way the powers of the mutants come into play for the battle is very interesting. This seems like it could be very good, despite my doubts about Bryan Singer.

The Simpsons 2014 Rumors & Discussion

I'm hoping that the people in charge of that magazine just Googled "LEGO Simpsons" and chose an image which happened to be some random custom rather than the actual product itself. I seriously hope the characters in this special Simpsons episode don't end up looking like that and actually resemble the proper minifigures.

^ Good grief, that looks absolutely dreadful. I always figured regular faces would look bad for these minifigures, but I didn't expect it to look as bad as that.

What Lego-related thing did you do today?

I've been organizing my CMFs and dusting them, while also dusting all of my other sets and minifigures which are currently on display. I'll be more active once I eventually get some new LEGO for my collection.

Lego Super Heroes: Old VS New

I never got the chance to get any of the old Super Heroes sets, though I have seen the pictures. For those sets with counterparts released in the new line, the sets in the new line are - for the most part - superior to their predecessors. I can't think of specific examples right now, but I can say that there are a few of the older counterparts which are better than their "replacements".

    Super Smash Brothers

Is there any information out there regarding how similar gameplay on Smash Bros 4 will be to gameplay in Brawl? I don't suppose it's likely that they will change very much in terms of overall gameplay, but I'm concerned that how certain characters work in this Smash Bros will be different to how it was in Brawl.

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion

^ Based on the lack of Winter Soldier sets or minifigures, it could be said that TLG have already had that idea. I hope they haven't, but it would be entirely unsurprising if this was what TLG are planning.

    Moderator Appreciation Thread

This is an excellent thread idea. Clearly the moderators work very hard to maintain the high standard of this forum while also quickly dealing with any issues that may arise in a very quick manner. Because of the hard work of the moderators, this is a very enjoyable community to be a part of that. So hats off to our moderators.

    Marvel Cinematic Universe

I had no idea that the timing of each MCU film had officially been confirmed by cast members, though this doesn't surprise me considering how I tend to ignore interviews with cast members due to them rarely being anything particularly interesting (for me that means revealing some information regarding films the actor/actress is involved in rather than information regarding their private lives). Even with the timing being official so far, can we really guarantee that the MCU will continue to adhere to this? I wouldn't be surprised if it did, but there's no guarantee that it will. One thing's for sure though, Ant-Man is likely to be set very shortly after the events of AOU.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 Rumors & Discussion

On the subject of the outfits being thought up by LEGO, it isn't surprising that they have done this. Toy companies often create random character variations from their own imaginations to increase/ensure sales. This case is no different. In this case, the new Turtle variants provide more incentive to buy the new sets than if the sets contained the same variants we saw last year.

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion

Regarding sets based on the LEGO games, it is a shame to say it but it is unlikely that many of the models and minifigures seen in the games will ever be realised, and even those that are will probably not be exactly as they were in the game. We can tell this much from how TLG is managing this theme so far.

    Future Superhero Set Ideas

My interest in DC is rather limited, but I think it would be great to see an Arkham Knight Batmobile. It has a brilliant design that I am sure would look great in LEGO form.

    Lego Wolverine Mosaic

That mosaic is absolutely brilliant. I can't even begin to imagine how long you took to make that. If only I had been given something like that for my room when I was younger.

What Marvel/DC Characters Will NEVER Get Minifigures?

I hate to admit it but I have a feeling we will never see Carnage in minifigure form. Also: Superior Spider-Man ASM 2 Rhino Shocker

    MOC: Anubis

Very impressive model you have there. Very detailed and clearly makes use of a variety of building techniques. Nicely done.

I'm not exactly surprised that these are out in the states first, but I do hope that these come to the UK soon. Surely it's only a matter of a week or two now?

    Your dream Lego theme

It would probably never happen, but I would absolutely love an Attack on Titan theme, or at least one set for it. It won't happen, but a guy can always dream.

    Marvel Cinematic Universe

I think it's almost certainly safe to say that we haven't seen the last of SHIELD in the MCU just yet. For a while, AOS aside, they will probably remain under the radar, trying to rebuild itself from the ground up, while also trying to deal with the threat from Hydra. I have a feeling that we may see more of SHIELD in Ant-Man for some reason, though until the cast list is complete (or even added to at all) it is difficult to predict much of anything about the film, other than the fact that Scott Lang will steal the suit from Hank Pym at some point in the film (probably early on).

    Marvel Cinematic Universe

^ Frankly, anything to do with the time during which each film of the MCU takes place is very difficult to truly confirm; anything related to it is pure speculation, though there is seemingly solid reasoning behind said speculation. In any case, it's not as if the timing makes too much of a difference anyway (for the most part at least).

What Marvel/DC Characters Will NEVER Get Minifigures?

^ Generally speaking,I think this thread is talking about minfigures that people don't think we will ever see in physical form, rather than minifigures we will never see in physical form or in a LEGO game. Two more for the list: Mini Sentinel Mini Destroyer

Lego Loosing the Ball with Superheroes Sets

Seeing all the GotG sets in relatively high-res has somewhat changed my outlook on how TLG are doing with the Super Heroes license. The GotG sets are vast improvements on most of what LEGO has produced for this line up to now. The sets are definitely higher quality and the minifigures are far more detailed. Obviously it isn't possible to tell at this stage if future sets in this theme start to improve in the same ways, but I certainly feel that it is a possibility now. Here's hoping they do improve; most of the sets simply haven't been anything special (minifigures aside) so far.
