Set Review 3832 Bikini Bottom hospital

I got this set at Toys "R" Us yesterday. It is a simple build, yet fully detailed, scaled-down replica of the hospital from the cartoon. I like the new SpongeBob head piece with bandage and pants printed on all sides as well as the doctor's head piece. I really hope Lego makes more SpongeBob SquarePants sets that are as detailed as this one.

    Avatar?

I am speculating that the Lego Avatar sets didn't sell as well as expected, so Lego and the Nickelodeon cable TV network abandoned the idea of producing more Avatar: The Last Airbender building sets to focus on producing more Lego SpongeBob SquarePants building sets since the SpongeBob SquarePants license is the more successful Lego/Nickelodeon license, since more kids and families are familiar with SpongeBob, since he is seen in households around the world. Not to say that Avatar was successful, more so with teens, but SpongeBob has a bit more of a family focus. He is seen in more major worldwide markets than Avatar. It took nine years for SpongeBob to get where he is today in American pop culture. With all that being said, I personally think Lego stopped producing Avatar sets, not only because they did not sell well, but also because Avatar began to have too many complicated storylines for a Lego license, and because SpongeBob hyas a greater potential as a Lego license. With that said, I hope they come out with a Jimmy Neutron or Fairly OddParents theme in the next couple of years.

    City '09?

7633 sort of reminds me of the Main Street set from 1980. That farm set looks amazing. It's even got cows! MOO! I currently live in the city of Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA, so I can relate to this set since the Green Bay area is surrounded by farms, and that Wisconsin is nicknamed "America's Dairyland" on the state license plate. With that said, Lego went the agricultural direction with their new City lineup of sets. Looks like people would want to incorporate this set into their train layout when they get it.

    City '09?

I found some more pictures of the 2009 City Lego building sets: Edit by Hinckley: Those pictures are enormous and eating up people's bandwidth. Also, they seem to be photographed from a dealer's catalog. Please don't post them here. Thank you.

    REVIEW: 6444 Outback Airstrip

Great Review! This set has cool features. I just wish that Lego would release this as a Lego Legend and release it to Australia too, since this is a set about Australia. I would've bought two if this were a Lego Legend. That is how good it is. I like the building with latticed window and windmill. I also like the cargo airplane, windsock, and radios. Plus it looks like it's got great minifigs.

4999 Vestas Promo - Wind Power Plant

Or maybe they could replace the Vestas stickers with generic Lego City stickers and release it as a Toys "R" Us exclusive.

We want the amazing 4999 Vestas Wind Power Plant!

I would like to see Lego release this to the general public as a Toys "R" Us exclusive, but without a trace of the "Vestas" trademark. It would be the next best thing to getting it through Vestas. It would probably sell anywhere in between $99 USD and $150 USD. That little red house in front of it looks lovely.

    City 2009

A TV station. What we need is a TV station. Where else would the Lego citizens get their news from?
  16. Hello! My name is Justin, from Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. I am a big fan of Lego. I am currently 21 years old. I decided to join to share my love for the Lego toys. I have liked playing with this toy since I was 7. My favorite Lego themes are Town/City, SpongeBob SquarePants, Space, Batman, Star Wars, Castle, and Indiana Jones. I also like going on my computer to surf the Internet as well as watch TV and play video games. My favorite cartoons are SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Danny Phantom, Rugrats, All Grown Up!, Hey Arnold, Avatar, and Fairly Odd Parents. My favorite movies include the Star Wars saga, the Back to the Future Trilogy, as well as countless other movies. My favorite video games include Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Sonic the Hedgehog.

    Ideas for new City sets

I have another idea for a new Lego City set: A fast food hamburger restaurant, quite possibly an updated version of 6683 Hamburger Stand, but with interior seating and a drive thru. Just imagine... an updated version of this set.

Set Review 3832 Bikini Bottom hospital

The official name for this Lego set is "The Emergency Room". I have all the other SpongeBob sets, including three Krusty Krabs, two Bikini Bottoms, as well as one of everything else , now all I need to do is wait until next month to buy this set if I find it at my local Toys "R" Us. That SpongeBob minifig looks cute.

    Avatar?

I guess the Lego Group and Nickelodeon, the owner of Avatar: The Last Airbender, decided to discontinue the Avatar building sets to focus on the Lego SpongeBob SquarePants licensed sets, since the Avatar sets did not sell as well in 2007. I've witnessed a couple Fire Nation Ships being clearance priced at $30.00 at my local Shopko discount store in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA, as a speculation of the theme's discontinuation. At that time, Avatar had just came onto the scene.

    Ideas for new City sets

A few more ideas I had in mind for new Lego City sets. A modernized contemporary version of 6390/10041 Main Street, Main Street II featuring a more realistic urban setting with sleek, beefed-up civilian and construction vehicles and an upscale hotel which can be built as "completed" or "under construction" just like the original two. It would also contain two dark gray road plates and a streetlight similar to the one in the Batmobile Lego set. A set like that would complement any town or city layout and be a perfect companion set to 10184 Town Plan. Dog Catcher - This set would be an offshoot of the Lego City Police line of building sets. It would probably include a dog catcher with a dark gray version of the Fabuland nets (which are currently used as jellyfishing nets in the Lego SpongeBob SquarePants theme), and two dogs for the dog catcher to chase after. The dog catcher's vehicle will be similar in design to the police vans and ambulances in the Lego City theme.

    Ideas for new City sets

I would like to see a TV station Lego set with Newsroom, Helicopter, and Mobile TV Studio. It would have all kinds of equipment such as TV cameras, microphones, video tapes, weather radar, and the newsroom set complete with anchor desk, sports center, and weather center. It would include a few TV camera operators, news anchormen and women, and some meteorologists. I realize what Lego City lacks is an Eyewitness News team, since the last set with that theme was released in 1997/98. If they were to release that Lego set or something similar, it would give Lego City something quite different from the usual Policemen, Firemen and Doctors. Something like this.... ...or this... ...but with the modern looks of other Lego City Sets plus a building featuring the newsroom and anchor desk. It would fill a much-needed niche in Lego City. Just imagine...WLGO-TV 7 (or KLGO-TV 7) Eyewitness News.
