DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

The wings are too sharp, a safety hazard. The color isn't filled in. I'm pretty sure it's fake. It's blatantly obvious and everyone thinks that they're real. Which is sad. I thought we were smarter than this.
  2. No problem! I still have this as a priority, school is just an issue at the moment. It's fun to do these though!

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

I don't really have a problem with the over saturation of Batman unless the sets revolve around something like Dawn of Justice. Other than that, you all often forget just how immense Batman's lore really is. After the DCEU kicks off and we get fan favorites, they'll be integrated into sets. It'll take a bit. This cinematic universe is just starting it's second chapter soon. While Marvel has had theirs in LEGO since 2012. Just give it time. It's hard to have diversity in these sets when focus groups only want Batman. The movies will surely lead to people saying, "Oh, I want more Wonder Woman! She's cool!" or "Oh I want some more Green Lantern! There's a ton of them!" Eventually we'll get there! And hopefully we'll get even more villains along with diverse sets!

Astounding! Great work! It was a ton of fun to see this evolve from a gate and some ideas that were thrown around into this! Good luck man!

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

Well, I did say it was being used in the BvS set. But only for an armored variant.

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

So, anyone who thinks that this is real... Sorry. The print is years old as said above. The new muscle print is universal to the Superheroes theme at this point. There would be new details rather than a few steps back. There are many other designs LEGO could have used one of the old designs that wasn't used. The wings are far too sharp for LEGO to produce. The wings look terrible in quality anyways. That's all that you really need. In Mighty Micros, Batman has the new cowl. It's only still being used for BvS or TDK Merchandise. The BvS Batman seems to have the same face as the 2015 one too. There's no chance they'd revert back to the 2013/2014 cowl when they've pushed to get the 2015 one to be mainstream. Summer/Fall 2016 is still very far away news wise. If any comic sets come from it it's got to be Batman or Superman related sets because of Batman v Superman. Or it could be a continuation of JL. It's got to be comic based sets though. Or based off of the new JL Cartoon as Suicide Squad has been beaten like a dead horse on here for why we won't see direct sets from that movie. I guess we'll see.

What was the last movie you watched?

The Martian. The best movie of 2015 so far. My 2nd favorite movie ever. It was very intriguing and compelling. I really loved the cast and characters of the movie. Very top notch film.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Time for LEGO to get mad at... LEGO? These were found on the S@H website. It's pretty official. The pages have to be accessed via URL, so nobody can just stumble upon these just by clicking something.

    2016 Lego Games prediction

Want to say Doctor Who is a smart choice because they can fix their planet traveling and planets in general. Imagine a huge hub of Britain that you can change the time for, it's something that's being implemented in LEGO Avengers with NYC and two time periods. There's also a wide variety of characters. And your hub could always change along with the TARDIS interior. It has the possibility of being the largest LEGO game too. They're all Brits who love putting in Who references, imagine giving them all the time they need to make the perfect Doctor Who game. It could be something special. Simpsons could work, a wide expanse of characters and story could be in that game. Springfield can be Springfield and be great in LEGO form. As is shown in Dimensions. Ghostbusters and Scooby Doo wouldn't work IMO. LEGO loves a vast expanse of characters. There's only a small number of protagonists and a slightly larger amount of known antagonists. Highly doubt kids want to play as Ghost #1 and Man From Across the Street in a Polar Bear Outfit. Just saying. I think the 2016 games will be: - LEGO Star Wars (2016) This game could be a remastered Complete Saga with levels from The Clone Wars and Rebels. Add TFA characters, vehicles, and a level. So we can get our fix and then LEGO could release LEGO Star Wars II (2019) with the new trilogy. A rebranding/reboot of this game series would be a smart idea rather than coming up with other titles. Who really wants to see a LEGO Star Wars IV: The Remastered Saga? It just sounds odd. - LEGO Doctor Who. (Reasoning above.)

    Clark Kent - Superman

I think that a turntable for the inside of the phone booth would be neat. One that's controlled on the side using a 1x2x2 cylinder with grooves. That'd be cool. The blue is a good idea but I think transparent white would be better.

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

Lol, Movie Twitter knows what's up. I don't think it's a spoiler. I wonder if we get anything Lexcorp related, what logo will it be? The Lexcorp building has a different logo than the viral campaign... I'm pretty interested in the Batwing set too. There's a lot we don't know but a lot we know. I'm pretty excited to see just what exactly LEGO will make with WW, Superman, Batman, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor. I don't remember if there was more to it but there could be. This is the only set I'm pretty concerned about, as the rest are fairly straight forward. Who knows?

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

First off, I found it on Twitter. I don't have a source or anything. Second off, it's only this. The rest of the characters are well represented in photos of the two sides. Ant-Man was just on Hawkeye's shoulder. I'm thinking the head will have some sort of respirator/mask and then an open mouth on the other side, the helmet isn't too different. The rest of the suit looks so much nicer. Now we wait for Spider-Man.

    LEGO Ideas Doctor Who

Love this set, absolutely love it! Hope we get a theme to get some more doctors and variants. Especially for 11's S7 suit with a bow tie. And the 10th Doctor. The set all around looks well made. The Character Building version of the TARDIS was neat in its own way, but I think LEGO's is the most practical. CB had studs all around the floor and it was very, very bland. That being said, I'd love to see what LEGO would do for 10's TARDIS and/or 11's first TARDIS. But that's just me being speculative. The set itself looks phenomenal. I love what they did with it. I will definitely get to buying this. And then buying a few off of Bricklink. (I wouldn't care about figures and it seems everyone only cares about figures.) The thing about the TARDIS that I think LEGO got just right, is that the build itself is like a minifigure. You can't disagree with calling the TARDIS another character. I think that is what sells the set for me, I'm actually interested in the build which is rare, especially with Superheroes (my favorite theme). If this license gets a theme, I think this is the first theme I'd try to get all the sets, just because I'm a huge fan and there's so many things I would love in LEGO form.

    [MOCs] Batman Day MOCs

So, Batman day was a while ago. And I made two MOCs that day. I posted them to Flickr and had the intentions of posting them on EB but didn't have the chance until now. I guess the builds will be in chronological order on when I built them but I don't think anyone would care too much for that. First up is Batman and Green Arrow vs Amygdala. The build is just a bank with a statue next to it. I was pretty happy with the posing and all, I wish I took the picture at a better angle so you could clearly see the roof but that's fine. There's not too much going on with it which kinda stinks because I wasn't sure how I'd make it more lively, especially in the center. I assumed an option could be raising the entire section with the bank and have the 4x16 space a road. But then the lamp would've crowded the build. So, it's a learning experience really. Next is Batman vs Ras Al Ghul. I think that this build was a lot better in the sense of depth and a mood. I have the grey which is supposed to be the original stone laid down by Ras for a floor, obviously some sand has consumed that. The tower is really simple. I wanted a building that was practical for the time it was built and how it'd hold up. There are obvious abnormal sections which really messed with me and my symmetry. Talia is up on a balcony. I thought it was a nice addition in a sense it needed some character for the building. And the fact that Talia is notably there for a good portion on Bruce and Ras' fights. I then added some rocks, the grey contrasts well in this build so that was nice. I also added a small dining section, these are two men of class so they'd likely have a meal before they fight. There's not much to add from that. So, which one was your favorite? C&C very welcomed. I'm always looking to improve.

Thanks! I really favor the first one. The pose Batman is making is just so awesome. Then add an even cooler build, it was so fun to make!

    LEGO Ideas Doctor Who

The TARDIS looks really nice. I do think however, the Dimensions in-game TARDIS is a bit more to scale. But this is just looking via pictures. I guess once we see the set I won't be oddly wanting a Dimensions scale one. This just looks like it'd be really tall compared to a normal minifigure. Still excited for the set though.

    LEGO Ideas Discussion

It's an odd situation as they lowered the age limit to 13 years to submit a project. (Odd if that wouldn't apply to accepting it.) The parents would likely collect the money and pay the taxes though. Finance is a strange business.

    LEGO Ideas Discussion

Ah, alright. I mixed up the percentages with something else. Anyways, what other reasons would there be? I'm almost certain a few projects were do-able. I guess it just depends on the audience. The high piece count is a valid argument. I guess I just don't understand why LEGO doesn't make many of the sets. It's all really coming to me right now on how dumb I sounded. An Ideas set is normally around $60. 1% of that is 6 cents. If they sell 10,000 copies (based on votes and such) you're looking at $6,000. I think there could be tax on that though. The money is always the strangest part of that as it really can vary. I'm not sure how many Ideas sets are actually made, I just guessed that if around 10,000 people wanted it. LEGO would supply it. And then you have things like the Female Science set that almost rapidly needed another production of product. So putting that all into account could mean there's a possibility you could make a buck or two on this.

    LEGO Ideas Discussion

Is it just me, or do I think LEGO should accept Superheroes, Lord of the Rings, and other already licensed ideas? I understand why they don't accept them due to the licensing companies don't want the user to make a profit off of their owned license. But the fact that we make so many good ideas on there that get 10,000 clearly showing that the fans want the set, I as a creator of a ideas set would totally just opt-out of getting a profit if that means we can have that set. This was primarily discovered after reading up about Ideas and seeing a set that gets produced, you get 5 copies of the product and 5% of the profit. If you made a licensed idea, would you opt-out of getting a profit just to have the set made? I wish LEGO had that option because we miss out on a lot of great products, aka almost everything from LotR we wanted but never got. (Some day you guys, some day. I still believe.) As a Superheroes guy, I just want heroes that the fans put in their sets. Because some have great ideas. LEGO hasn't even scratched the surface on either brand's heroes. The most obscure from each (as of 2016 so far) are Hyperion (Marvel) and Hawkman (DC).
