    MOC - Another BATCAVE!

Not as extravagant as many Batcaves here, but I'm chuffed with the way it's turned out. Would have loved to have used the old Batcave, but had to settle with the new version. Very much inspired by BeKindRewind's MOC and includes a Tumbler I made based on Brett Waller's instructions. I altered the batcycle a little, removing the yellow wheels and pieces from it to look a bit cooler.

    Review: 10243 Parisian Restaurant

I'm very disappointed there wasn't an early release for VIP's. This was all I had on my Christmas list, and was hoping to build it during the holidays. Might take a trip to Glasgow (the nearest LEGO store) on 1st/2nd January. Or maybe just order online.

    MOC - Another BATCAVE!

Thanks for the comments guys. BrickG, the third Batman fig is from a keyring, so I can't change his head or remove his cape! I'll replace it with Arctic Batman once I buy that set.

    MOC - Avengers Commander Truck

Love it! Some great detail in the truck. The team of Galaxy Patrol guys work really well as SHIELD agents too.

    MOC - Another BATCAVE!

Just one official Batcave set, Cammo. The rest was made up of what I had around, and a £15 bricklink order.

Latest updates on LEGO set sales

Any idea when Lego.com (UK) will next be offering free shipping and/or double VIP points? I'd like to buy Arkham Asylum and few smaller sets.

    Modular Building 10232 Palace Cinema

It's about time LEGO gave us custom faces on the modular minifigs. I hate the old faces now, and have replaced all my heads.

MOC: Gotham City - The Batcave

Looks like I'm a year LTTP, but I just wanted to say I love this MOC! I'm going to have a crack at building my own Batcave, and this has given me lots of inspiration. Unfortunately, I have to settle with the new Batcave (6860) as a starting point. Would love the old one, but they're going for silly money now.

    MOC: Coveted Clutch (modular shop)

I love the interiors on this build. Very inspirational. Thanks for sharing.

    Modular Building 10232 Palace Cinema

I'm actually very excited about this set. Not as much for the build itself, but more for the MOC opportunities. I have a few ideas myself, and I know others will come up with some great modified versions. My ideas: Extending the cinema to give more room. Adding more seats, with different heights. Separate projection room. Modifying to allow an iPhone/smartphone to be a working screen! Changing the movie posters. Adding a tile carpet. As 'ritzcrackerman' said, might be worth removing the staircase to increase the cinema size.

    Modular Building 10232 Palace Cinema

Hope the movie posters are cards. I plan to customise mine to have LEGO Avengers, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings posters. Then all the 'stars' of those movies can attend the premieres!

    [Software] LDD2PovRay

Thanks to everyone involved in creating these programs. I downloaded everything yesterday and have been having lots of fun building and rendering. Been working on a model of my house, but was very impressed with this mini Avengers Quinjet (30162) I built...

    Modular Building 10232 Palace Cinema

Looks awesome. I'll be adding this to the 3 modular buildings I already own. Will be really interested to see the interior and close up shots of those movie posters. Also wondering if the movie names above the doors will be editable. Hoping it's not all nasty stickers.
  16. Hi there. I've been lurking around this forum for a while, admiring all your fantastic MOCs. I thought it was about time I registered, introduced myself and joined the discussion. I'm 37 years old, and have two daughters, aged 6 and 9. Last year I found the LEGO from my childhood in my parents attic, cleaned it up and passed it on to my kids. We all got really into it, then caught the Minifigure collection bug. It spiralled out of control from there! While I was buying sets for my girls I discovered the awesome modular buildings, and had to own them for myself. I now have the Pet Shop, Fire Brigade and my wife's giving me the Grand Emporium for Christmas. The girls are having a very LEGO Christmas too, with lots of Super Heroes sets (inc the Quinjet) and houses on the way. Thankfully they're not interested in the LEGO Friends range! We've also been messing about with stop motion animation, and I hope to have some videos to share in the future.
  17. Hi. Just wondering if anything came about for this. I live in Penicuik, work in Edinburgh and would be up for meeting like-minded folk. It might be worth asking at the Games Hub on Lauriston Place if they could host. They do Warhammer nights etc.
