On the other hand, seeing the recent Toy Fair pictures, it may also be logical to reveal the set tomorrow as stated in the article. If it IS infact Orthanc, than I believe we're in for a treat :3

I have tried to refrain from saying this, but Lordof TheBricks, I agree with Darth Cadeus. You are looking at LEGO, in terms of business, in a very childish manner. It has been stated multiple times that LEGO can't and won't acquire the licenses to sell sets or polybags that just include minifigures. Even your desire of battlepacks has a small chance. LEGO is about building great castles and structures, not moaning about the rare, slight mistakes or lack of tiny details on Minifigures. There was once a time when LEGO didn't even come with minifigs! You also keep mentioning sets that have nothing to do with the 2013 sets that have already been confirmed. If you would like to create a speculation thread, please do so. You need to stop arguing with everyone about how you "know what is best for LEGO" when you obviously don't. Let everyone share their opinions before you debate about it. I'm sorry, but this had to be said. Moderators, punish me if you must, but I needed to have my say.

Fair point, that actually would be pretty cool. But, what are they gonna do for the other interior layers, while the only place we really see is the Palantir room?

Really Hoping that Orthanc doesn't come with another Palantir. I'd ruin the purpose of the Wizard Battle set, but since I'm a collector, I'd still get both :P

I'm starting to warm up to the idea of this new modular, but I'll just have to get used to not following what I believed was "normal" for the modular line. Thank you GRogall, for providing us with pictures, which, from what I believe must've taken a huge amount of effort. Sorry for causing all the hate. I'm brand new here, and probably should've kept to myself, which I will do from now on. I can't wait to see this model with the other modular on my shelf :)

When the first news of the set was revealed, I was more or less expecting a 50s style, old fashioned cinema, sort of like the one that came with Town Plan, but larger, and of course with more detail. I'm more into having the buildings look more like each other than having some that, like you said, stick out sore thumbs. My annoyance wasn't that much with the stickers and such, but with the over all design. I just don't think I can pass it off as looking like the other modulars.

To be honest, I think that compared to the other modulars, this one is downright terrible. It just doesn't fit in with the whole street layout idea. Plus, all the what appear to be stickers ruins the whole "Creator" idea, or at least that's how I feel. The minifigures aren't unique or special, either. I think they really lowered the ball this year, and I hope that they can produce a better-looking model next time. I'm strongly debating on whether I should purchase this one or not. Well, I still have the Pet Shop and Town hall to build...

Well, this is my first post, and I have some GREAT news. On the pictures of the preliminary sets, there is a blue Lord of the Rings banner going across the top of the page. If you look closely, it appears that the banner continues on to the next page, meaning the sets we know of now aren't the only ones. Here's proof: http://imgur.com/wXBw5 . Although I may be wrong, I think we still have something to look out for.
