Well this was exactly what I was afraid of... I suppose my wallet will stay in the pant pocket for the tenure of this theme.

I agree with most everyone here that the images show a very dissapointing theme that presents no appeal to me. The only hope I have for this theme is perhaps the torsos underneath the large bulky armor piece's of the knights, but other than that, it looks like a wasted theme in my opinion.

Lego themes that we would like to happen

The only way to get those type of themes made would be to license them to a movie, like LOTR was.- 451 replies

Lego themes that we would like to happen

I'm actually really surprised that TLG hasn't taken up some sort of modern combat theme. Since most of the customiziation folks out there have already swooped in on that theme, maybe TLG thinks it will simply let them deal with the modern combat. I would like to see mor historical themes: - Ancient Rome - Ancient Greece - Medieva Ages (Castle, but more expanded) - Industrial Age - American Civil War - Expanded LOTR Theme - Perhaps a Van Helsing type of Steampunk - More Superhero Themes (Suicide Squad, Daredevil, Arrow, etc.)- 451 replies

My entry for Category B of the Midde Earth Contest. The Age of Men is now in the present and the Kingdom of Arnor is restored. Arnor soldiers are sent out to the east of their capital to patrol areas for retreating orcs. Instead of finding orcs, these Arnor soldiers encountered a bear cave with an old bear residing in it. Well, at least it isn't another orc pack... Radagast is spotted on the ridge, but will he help the Arnor soldiers? Inside: I thought I would throw Radagast in there because there is no concrete evidence that places him out of Middle Earth during the Age of Men.

My second entry for the MEC contest, this one for Category C. While finishing off the deadly and large Mirkwood spiders, the Dwarven Company is entangled again, this time with the elves.

I intended it is a Beorning, but not Beorn himself. -

It seemed like a peacful night for Ulric, but.... Ulric dismissed the light sound he heard behind one of the lightposts, "It must be a rat." Before he could react, the unkown man had flipped him on the ground and had pulled his dagger out switfly. After hearing a yelp from inside, Bjorn called to several more guards and the burst into the winery.

I am simply wondering how to make the background of a MOC picture white. I have tried in photoshop but never seem to get it right. Thanks

I see what you mean here. I put the figures in at the last second just for a test to see how realistic it looked.

I am finishing up a free build that I might be able to post today. It is a wine cellar/bottlery located underneath the Citadel in Valholl. -

Here is my new sigfig. His name is Domeric Hailstorm and he was raised in the far north. He never knew his real parents, mostly growing up on his own; and is now heading to Valholl to seek a new beginning. Do we have a MOC or a picture of what Valholl looks like? -
What would you like for the next Castle line?
Admiral Khan replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
That would never happen, but it would be awesome -
I think it would be nice if we got a new kind of castle theme. Every castle theme since the Knight's Kingdom has just been a Lion or "Crowns" theme; I think it would be nice if got something else. I am a fan of the fantasy era medieval market village and the mill village raid, but there needs to be more "village" type sets. Some ideas of mine for kingdoms- 1. Bear 2. Falcon 3. Griffin 4. Stag We always get lion knights, and it would be nice to see other types of torsos and sets that expand the castle universe to an updated Griffin knight army etc. I also would like a updated forestman sub-theme.

That fits a little of what I am thinking of since it has the keep in the middle.

I am planning on a castle to build, but am at a crossroads to what shape to build the castle. I am building it on a 60x28 area. My inspirational shape is this castle built by Ecclesiastes: I want to build a mountain-type castle that doesn't have much of a courtyard, but has a few taller towers besides the keep. The castle I want to build would be a little smaller than the link, but still roughly the same shape, with the gatehouse leading to the keep, and the turning toward a taller tower on a larger rock. Any shape suggestions would be highly appreciated. Cheers

I have been buildign MOCs for a while now, but whenever I want to "show the world" what I have built I never get good enough pictures. I always see people post such perfect, clear pictures of their MOC, and mine are always blurry and have bad lighting. Also, pictures have a white background. How do you get this white background? Photoshop, white sheet? I would like some pointers on picture taking for MOCs so people can see the detail of my MOCs, and not the picture flaws. Thanks

Does anyone know the technique of building these crosses seen here: I am wanting to add this type of style to my castle I am currently building.
