I like that they have Zod rather than Luther. The trailer is promising but as I said in another thread, it looks a little origin heavy. A lot of superhero films make the mistake of being 3/4ths origin and 1/4 story.

Some ask the same question about Marvel and DC (Although my choice is obvious)... I think that some people seek out conflict. Personally I don't see why one can't like both big Star franchises.

I don't think there's better way to do it.. I mean, a constume that big would take down the mobility too much

Okay... hope you are right... Like some others who have posted i hope it's not another spiderman set, not that I don't like him, it's just that, IMO, we could use an x-men or better yet avengers set more, although, realistically it would more likely be X-men. Still... I wish we could get a version of the top floors of Star tower as our big $120-$150 set (A roof scene with an enternce leading down to the single floor where everything went on in the movie) Some have suggested the Helicarrier but I don't see how they would pull that off nicely without making it a $300 plus set (which LEGO wont do). Anyone know if there is a current X-Men animated series to draw off of? if not, with EMH being cancelled, I fear we might have to settle for yet another spider man set.

ARG! would have loved to have the spiderman set but spent the last of my X-Mas budget yesterday... trust my luck.

No one really knows for sure... TLG has not given us any date yet so, from what i understand, it could be very soon or it could be as late as jan 1. When we start hearing a date that will give us some idea but even then it's a bit of a surprise. When we were waiting for the hobbit sets they were at Walmart 5 days before they were at available through S@H or anywhere else. I'm also to understand that TRU often gets ahold of sets early. The best bet is to watch the net for word of what dates are being put out there and what stores end up putting them out first. This thread is a good place to start watching.

Because it's the most awesome hobby there is of course... And TLG knows it and takes us for every penny they can. Oh well, I can't really compain. If I can afford it on the laughable amount of money I have, what can I say, The people I feel sorry for are the families I know who are trying to support kids on a low income or while going to school and at the same time scrape together enough cash each year to give their kids a small amount of lego goodness... Compared to them many adult collectors have it easy. Of course for all I know you have a family of 6 or are in some other situation that makes my life look like a cake walk so nothing personal. *takes a walk in another mans shoes* PS sorry for the rant, it's late and I'm tired

AFAIK there is no information on that yet... It's anyone's guess. I suggest you do what I do (although for me I am in the US) and check your various relaible sorces frequently. In all likelyhood though, all you really need to do is watch this thread and news will be posted here very soon after you see it anywhere else.

Hope this is an okay topic... I was over on LEGO.com and decided to take their forums for a spin. I find that the first thing you face is that everything (at least to start out) must be approved before it goes out at all. My first post was in reponse to the suggestion that an Avengers video game be made... Here it is... I'd love one. Sadly, it will not happen AFAIK the company that makes the LEGO video games is owned by Warner Bros. who also own DC. this is probably why we have never seen a single Marvel LEGO video game and is also why ANti Trust laws in the US are far too weak anyone care to guess if lego will allow it?

if I recall correctly I have heard of 7 rumored sets between ROTR and the Hobbit (I have notes on my computer at home but am on vacation at the moment) for the coming wave so 8 might be about right. I'm not sure if they are spred out. My hope was for 7+ this wave and more with the second Hobbit release but that might be wishful thinking

I am so jealous. I'd totally book some travel time if I could but considering you can win the the lotto any time you feel like it you're price must be way too high. Anyone know if the lego store gets stuff in early? That's the only way I can see driving the hour plus that it would take to get there.

Out of curiosity, how are you getting these? Do you live in a country where you get them really early? Are you a time traveler? I'm slightly annoyed that TLG takes so long in announcing release dates for stuff, it makes planning more difficult then it should be.

Are those really the release dates?... TLG realizes that sept 20th is the last day of summer right? well, I'll have pleanty of time to fit as many as I like into my budget. Gotta look on the bright side... Right?

they have four set numbers listed at http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/2013 Under the LOTR section 79005 Frodo and the ringwraith 79006 TBA 79007 Eagle's Nest And 79008 Pirate Ship That's what they have listed but the three listged in the first post here are heavily rumored and I don't think these can be all... Elsewheer it has been said, which should be obvious, that this is a mix of LOTR and Hobbit sets, this site has just lumpped them into one section for now

I'm new here so I'm not sure if this was posted but I didn't see it when I skimmed through old posts, so.... If you haven't already heard the news Stan Lee said awhile back that marvel is working on both a Doctor Stange and a Black Panther movie. My guess is that will be the lineup for 2016 but I don't think he said anything about when they would be coming out

I don't know, the Hoth set looks okay but a 'super-set' it is not. Come on lego, if you're going to call something a 'super-set' go all out otherwise you make yourselves look bad

Thanks... Good point about the spy vs spy thing. It is of course true that not everything will get a set but a guy can dream can't he?... I could go wild and mention another 10 sets I'd like to see but I thought I'd be more realistic. As far as Arrow goes I know very little about it as I am not really into DC. I just threw it out there for purposes of balancing out the sets, I'm not really sure what DC stuff TLG will make After TDKR and Superman considering the next big DC production isn't until The Justice League in 2015 AFAIK
