  1. The part list for the nooteboom will be unchanged. The extension and the needed parts for it will not be included in the part list on rebrickable. For that i will make a pdf part list with part numbers which should be done in 2 weeks. The mercedes will have an update too. A big one actually! I think the part list for that one will change a bit. Currently the mercedes is a sort of technic studless truck. This will be changed in the same style as the nooteboom, studless and studded technic for the frame and bricks "creator style" on for the rest.
  2. If you ordered the instruction for the Nooteboom on my website you can see in the building instructions how the system works for a non-extended trailer. Within 2 weeks i will deliver an extra pdf to show how to extend the trailer. This file will be send to all, new and old, customers which are building the Nooteboom.
  3. I would love to see the Nooteboom in yellow! Don't think it is a big problem to change the colours of it. Most of the red parts are also available in yellow. Btw, to think ahead, it would perfect match the new yellow Mercedes-Benz SLT which will be hopefully released next year on my website!
  4. The trailer is 141 studs long and 21 studs wide on the loading deck. The mercedes is 19 studs wide, also the neck of the trailer is 19 studs wide.
  5. Well, 10kg of load... Think about that, thats the weight of the boom of the LTM 11200 crane you can see in the video.
  6. Yes, indeed! there is a LiPo needed and 4 servo's if you want a really strong trailer which keeps steering with 10KG of load, and 2 if you don't need that power. In fact it also works with just one servo but you can't load the trailer that much when using just one. The part list is online: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/jaaptechnic/nooteboom-mco-121-semi-trailer
  7. About the tires: There are 2 options: 22253 rims and 6594 for the tire 56145 rims and 15413 for the tire The last option is already needed for the 2 spare tires on the neck of the trailer. But the first option is a bit rare at the moment but it's the best realistic option. The part list will be soon on Rebrickable.
  8. This trailer is just a semi trailer. With a lot of axles... So it isn't a modular trailer and the gooseneck isn't detachable. Semi trailers are mostly used to transport non wheeled objects i guess. This trailer has an payload of 120ton at low speed, better place an old steam loc on top of it instead of a little excavator But it is still possible, there are support rails on the end of the trailer where ramps can be hooked on. So the LEGO version also haves these support rails for ramps. You can see them on 1:52 in the movie. The deck of the trailer is already a bit angled on the end. EDIT, like Henkl said
  9. First, Thanks to anyone! It's really nice to see that anyone likes these models.... LEGO models to be more specific The windmill, which i made especially for this video, wasn't designed to put together. When you need a windmill in scale 1:16 you probably need something which is still around 8/9 meters... That's just insane and not possible for the LEGO crane too. This trailer extends only by connecting a unit in between. Cause the whole back of the trailer is full of electronics and moving steering arms. And indeed, the steering angle must be scaled down when you extend the trailer. Which can be done easily by exchanging a gear.
  10. ZUX, You are quite clever Thanks a lot! So easy to do, and nobody will see it.
  11. There are plenty of ways to easily remove text from pdf files. (like adobe acrobat pro) The only option would be to implant the serial numbers into the images who display important information, which is a heck of a job Best way would be if Lpub automatically implants these codes into the images like a watermark. So who is the owner of this program No, we can't ask that. But it will totally solve the problem.
  12. https://www.flickr.com/photos/dikkie_klijn/sets/72157636699230945/ Here you can find some more information, maybe if Dirk klijn reads this he can show some more.
  13. Wow, I wasn't following this topic. But it also includes me on that webpage. On that webpage you can find my Actros and Scania Tow truck. I have never sold those two models to the same buyer in China... Maybe the owner of that webshop is located in an other country in Asia? any suggestions? I can check all my customers in those countries.
  14. Sure, there where some great models this year on the show. Look at this combo It's just perfect with the crane from Dirk Klijn and the Nooteboom trailer in collaboration with LiftingBricks. Sneak preview of the upcoming new models by JaapTechnic, on Flickr Anyway, back to the actuators. Those are pretty big, you can make actuators out of lego bricks in that size. Dirk Klijn did it on his Sarens crane, and i can say, his actuator is very strong! For my Volvo A25D dumper it was impossible to build an actuator out of official lego bricks because of the cylinder which moves in multiple angles and the space where the cylinder is mounted to the chassis is very tiny.
  15. Yup, You are right. They are not for sale. There is one simple reason for that: Producing those cylinders costs time, and time is rare when I follow my study mechanical engineering. Maybe something for the future. But let we all hope Lego will produce such a big cylinder any time soon (I don't think so )
  16. Yes, indeed the inner surface isn't easy to make smooth. But with some trial and error, using different drills and some patience i managed to make the inside just as smooth as the outside. The biggest problem is heat and the waste the drill produces inside the cilinder, (I don't know the exact English word for it ) And you need a long drill... You are almost right 22studs up to 40 extended
  17. Uhm yes... They are functional They work great actually It's just a piece of plastic rod which I drilled out on a lathe and after that I made all the fittings so the main part works together with the remaining parts from original cilinders. Sorry for the sledgehammer Efferman, did it hurt?
  18. Thanks, So here are your answers 1. Because a lot of people own the 9398 it is easier to make the landrover without buying lots of parts. But there are plans to make a more realistic chassis for it. 2. So much windows just looks ugly... and the LBG version is based on this: 3. 62.4x20 wheels are too small, you can try 24x43 or just go for the Unimog wheels The partlist will be available on Rebrickable soon, they are waiting for approval. The motors are positioned 7-8 cm of the ground. So they did not touch the water. (maybe a little bit ) And some extra photo's There are more photo's here: http://jaaptechnic.blogspot.nl/2014/08/landrover-defender-series.html Or watch the video on YouTube
  19. The new Landrovers are ready! I changed a lot of the design, better hood, detailled rear bumper, more curves in the roof and a lot more.
  20. Not yet, in this design the piston can pulled out. But maybe it's possible to reuse the caps which are used on the small pumps to prevent the piston to be pulled out. The universal joint is very strong Much better than the lego version which breaks really fast
  21. A long time ago i have also redesigned the valve which was originally designed by Barman. Your version is almost the same but mine uses pneumatic tube for the seal, not sure if that will work... Because i would like to keep the lego design in it, I came up with this: I have never tried to print it, the planning was to make it with broken mini pumps.
  22. A little time ago i introduced the Landrover Defender 90 on a 9398 crawler chassis. Which was basically designed for the You-Design-It We-Make-It competition. Because a lot of people loved the Landrover i made a Building instruction for it. Right now, a year later. 3 new versions will be introduced soon. The whole body is redesigned and the overall weight is reduced. They all include building instructions made with Lpub and Bricksmith Here is a sneak preview, I hope you like it!
  23. Uhm, Yes, nice B-model... Volvo A25D by JaapTechnic
  24. yes, i need the servo motor for my Nooteboom Euro 83-04 trailer
  25. it took a lot of work for me to contact TLG about my entry nowadays they put their email on their website....
