Wow, this is damn impressive. I love it. It's gone berserk!

Legends of Chima 2013 (Action Figures)

I wonder if Lego will make official combiners for these. They did it for the Superhero line so maybe? I really like all of them. Very complete sets and well worth the premium price. I wonder how well they'll do sales wise compared to the Chima system sets.

    Hero Factory 2013

The jetpack should have gone to Nex. I really don't need another Rocka. It's not like you can even see the pilot inside the suit anyways. I don't know why Furno and Rocka get the best sets. It's the Bumblebee factor all over again.

Love his backstory and pictures. He seems like a really fun guy to be around! Good job.

Wow, outstanding MOCS. Great body structure and proportions on both. So much character on these two. I love them.

    Hero Factory 2013

Ugh. So many problems with this episode. It's like Lego isn't even trying. There's hardly any character development for any of the heroes. let alone the villain(s). When did Furno get to be de facto team leader? How is it that Stormer just let's him take the lead without nothing but a word? Couldn't they at least include a scene to set up the team mechanics for the mission? It's all so rushed: Here's some bad guys, Get new upgrades. Do some fighting. Include comedic event. It plays like an extended commercial for the toys. I realize the Hero Factory has always been lite in the story front but this bare bones episode takes any semblance of character from the figures themselves down to zero. It might make for easy access to the new comers to the series and toy line but It doesn't promote brand loyalty. Let's not even talk about the disaster that the HF site has turned into. A 12 year old could make a more competent website. Not only is it an insult to HF fans but also to Lego's own designers that work on the series.

    CCBS Discussion and Reference

I prefer Hero Factory aesthetics to Bionicle. I really like the solid, refined, angular designs over the organic bionicle parts which from time to time would be too busy and create results that were cluitered to the eye. While Hero Factory is designed to be simpler it also makes characters look more appealing and overall more attractive. I do believe it is time for some specialized parts for the sake of variety. We have been using the same feet since the 2.0 series, save from Bionicle claw feet for some of the enemies and the odd Ben10 feet. We got Stormer XL feet but they are not particularly nice or versitile. I'd like to see more feet variety. Perhaps a new design altogether. Also, I think it's due time to get proper back pieces designed. You can only be so creative with feet and multi tool pieces used for backs. After a while MOCs end up looking too simiral with so few options. I think Lego is in the right track with the ball and shell system. They've come up with a simple and elegant system that has proven very versitile even in the face of its own limitations. I'd like to see more variety in textured pieces and specialized pieces that can be attached to existing shell like the knee pads and shoulder pads offered in the Breakout sets. In a sense I'd like variety.

Looks great. I wish I could see more :)

    Hero Factory 2013

Great sets except for Aquagon. His head / mask mold looks dissapointing. Stormer's pose looks horrible in those shots. A five year old would pose the figures better.

I'm not sure what this means. You were expecting unfinished, clearly photoshoped prototypes? The changes are rather minor in reality. Ramp up the contrast and you can make the final sets look like the ones on page 1. As it's been mentioned already the head sculpts are lovely. I guess more trans pieces would have been nice but the final offerings are more than suitable. I appreciate that they decided to go with more earth tones and leave the flashier colors for Hero Factory sets. It gives these Chima sets their own character.

These all look amazing. I don't know what you people expect. New pieces would be nice but the head sculpts and weapon variety more than make up for those. I'm getting them all.

    Stormer XL Custom Mod

It stand just fine if a bit cumbersome. I had to add friction joints on his right arm to hold his weapon. More on that later. I have a thing for big bulky imposing bots so I'm happy with how it turned out. I think the clear blue stringer abdomen piece could have been switched for a plan white one to conform to with the typical Stormer color scheme a bit more. The gun gray pieces were a necessity as silver pieces are still few and far to come. I might try the ones from Brain Attack when the sets come out. I agree that the blaster is kinda nuts. It kinda took a life of its own after a while. I basically wanted to do a weapon as un-Hero Factory as possible.I can't say I hate it tho. I kinda think of it as Stormer's equivalent to Von Nebula's Black Hole staff. Something of awesome and devastating power. I agree it kinda looks like a starship :3 The reasons for changing his legs are because I was disappointed with the original's. I much prefer Rocka's leg design aside from the open spaces in the thigh area. I did my best to cover them but there are no size 6 white armor pieces which do the job marvelously on other MOCs I've made.
  13. I'm about to take this bad boy apart but I wanted to share it with you guys. My Stormer XL mod. I thought the original was not worthy of the XL moniquer so I wanted to beef him up and upgrade his weapons. So here it is. I reworked the torso and filled it in a bit. the leg assembly is Rocka XL's with a few pieces to add bulkness. I call his gun the Chaos Blaster. I think the name fairly suitable. It has over 70 pieces. It's totally nuts and epic. His sword has a lot of Bionicle pieces as you can see, Hope you enjoy.
