Just found this project by Flailx which demonstrates a great idea for including the main console room without producing an overly-expensive set.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who this month, I decided to do some purist (well, other than 10's jacket) customs of the 10th and 11th doctors . Check out my FLICKR photostream for more photos!

Great to hear that Cuusoo is allowing Doctor Who projects again,and I guess that this decision has only happened because the Sherlock project has brought TLG and the BBC closer together, and Dr Who probably came up in the discussions, as it is one of BBC Worldwides key licenses and they sell lots of merchindise for it. Anyway, I'm looking forward to having my own official Lego TARDIS!

Actually, Yes we have! On my recent trip to the Lego store, I asked what price the set was going to be and he went and got the box to show me, so heres what I noticed: This set does include a cute mini version of Metalbeard. It looks rather nice, but it may also be worth getting 70807 as well. Emmet has the same face as he does in 70803 Cloud cuckoo Palace, so it really isn't that exclusive. The box is as big as the box for 10214-1 Tower Bridge, so forget about getting it from the store and just get it delivered. Benny has a double-sided face! On one side of his face he has the open mouth seen on all the promotional posters, but on the other side he has a classic 80's smiley face, so he looks a bit like this but with a cracked helmet. The ship also includes a rather detailed cabin with the same globe element as in 4191 Captains Cabin and some maps. Last of all, we have the price: Amazingly, its only £170 in the UK, which gives you even more of a reason to get it!

That is one snazzy-looking logo! The more I hear about this theme, the more I want all the sets!

At the moment, they are exclusive to Lego stores and shop.lego.com, but according to my local store they should be available everywhere else by mid-February in time for the film.

Dat Blacktron shirt. Seriously, the minifigs in that set are brilliant, it looks like I'll be Bricklinking some of these. Oh, and thanks for the reviews, just2good!

Actually, I would love TLG to do a Lego movie advent calendar next year. Just imagine getting Emmet or a classic spaceman dressed as Santa! :-)

Sorry to bump this thread, but I've just noticed something interesting on the worlds section of the lego movie site. The image for the President Business' evil lair has what looks like Bruce Wayne next to President Business, which is quite interesting and suggests that Bas could be going undercover. Oh, and that double decker couch from the trailer is strangely used as a boat on the ocean page.

Interesting picture, but I have to agree with you that the creeper looks downright terrible. The Skeleton looks okay though.

Great review as always WhiteFang, here are my thoughts on the series: Calamaty Drone: I can see why other people would want her, but I don't really need her. Taco Tuesday guy: He is very similar to S2 maraca man, but he was great too so I'll have 1. President Business: Very nice figure with an interesting haircut and great printed mug. Will get 1 or 2. Hard Hat Emmet: Incredibly useful hair/hat piece and instuctions, will be getting 1 or 2. Wild west Wildstyle: Interesting figure with a nice dress, may get 1. Abraham Lincoln: Great hat and hair combo, must get at least one. Mrs Scratchen-Post: A bit too similar to the S11 grandma, but the new colour cat is nice, so 1 for my city. Scribble face Bad Cop: His scribble face scares me. He does have a good phone though, so one for me. William Shakespeare: GIVE HIM TO ME Seriously though, he does have a pretty neat hair piece and printed tile. One for me. Gail the construction worker: Nice hat/haircombo, Will need one or two for my city. Larry the Barista: Possibly my favorite minifig this series. The new cup is excellent and the hairpiece is also nice. Will be getting at least 2. Velma Staplbot: Meh. 0 for me. Where are my pants guy: Rather nice minifig with a nice shirt, but having trousers as an accessory is a bit...weird? Getting 1 Wiley Fusebot: Hooray, more robot minifigs none for me. Panda suit guy: Awww, hes so cute! Probably getting one for the printed teddy. Marsha, Queen of the mermaids: No need for it really, so none for me. Overall: A very good series for City builders, but not much else for historic army builders or anyone else.

Yes, that's the torso I used for 10, and I should have used a Stetson so I may take a picture of that. By the way, what hair piece should I use for John Hurts doctor? I really don't know what to use.

That bat cave with those two figures looks very nice, although that picture of batman in the corner looks strange...
