  2. If you're interested in playing... And I am. 1. What is your mafia experience here on EB? How about other sites? I've played a few here on EB. 6? 7? Something like that. 2. What do you think of your performance in EB Mafia so far? What are your strengths and weakness? What do you want to improve? The last two games haven't been great, but there were serious interferences IRL, unfortunately. My scumdar is plain broken. 3. If you just graduated from Mafia School - have you read any other mafia games on EB? If so, what have you learned from them? Nope. Not played a one. 4. Will you be able to post every game day? More importantly, will you be able to truly participate in the game (as opposed to showing up to post once and clocking out)? If not, reconsider your application. Shouldn't be a problem. 5. Finally, the fun question. What is your favorite LEGO theme? Star Wars.
  3. Yes, thank you for all your hard work, C3POwen.

[REVIEW]: 70788 Kopaka: Master of Ice

When the first pictures of Bionicle '15 leaked, Kopaka immediately went to the top of my must haves list. I do have to say, after reading all three reviews on the large sets, Tahu and Onua (especially Onua ) have joined Kopaka near the top, but the Master of Ice is still the first set I will be buying. Excellent review, VBBN. Thanks for writing it.

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

I picked up 75046 Coruscant Police Gun Ship, 75052 Mos Eisley Cantina, 75055 Imperial Star Destroyer, 75058 MTT and 10236 Ewok Village while on vacation. I've built all but the Village and so far the Police Gunship is my favorite. I'm not disappointed with any of them, though. The minifig selection is fantastic.

[WIP] UCS TIE Variants (All of Them)

I've only built one of them so far, the TIE Defender, but I haven't taken photos of it yet. I have the pieces for the standard TIE, but haven't starting building it yet. Far too much going on at home to devote time to it. My plans were to order parts for the ones I thought turned out best. The Defender, standard TIE, Lander and Lancet, maybe a few more. Then I will order enough pieces to modify those models to create the others. The standard TIE is the basis for a lot of the variants, so quite a few should be easy once the TIE Fighter is built. As for the windscreen piece, I own the TIE Advanced, and I bought a second windscreen several years ago (before the price became outrageous). My plan is to move those windscreens around for photography, and leave the windscreens off for display. Not ideal, but far, far cheaper, and I also get a chance to admire the cockpit and interior details.

  13. Thanks for the reminder. In actuality, those 3 x 1s aren't supposed to be there. They should be the newer 2 x 1 curved slopes, which weren't available in LDraw when I modeled that set (but are available now). They should've been mentioned in the errors section. There are a few other sets that have the same substitution (Ewok Village and the most recent RGS spring to mind). I'll go back and make the corrections soon.

Whenever I try to respond to a thread, I end up with letters, punctuation and spaces getting dropped as I type (see above for an example). Also, I don't seem to be able to copy and paste (which sucks when needing to link a image, etc.). I'm not sure if it's my browser, laptop or something on this site. I haven't tested this on a different computer, that should be a good place to start.

Question about Watto's Junkyard (the set)

Taking a quick look at Bricklink, it seems that the cheapest complete used set goes for about $90 USD, while the Watto fig is going for around $70 USD. I think It's safe to say buying the set as a whole will be the least expensive route. I can't answer the second question, though you could always Bicklink the parts to "complete" the second racer.

    Bionicle 2015 Discussion

It's funny, but the Mistika/Phantoka sets were what finally put me into a Bionicle collectors frenzy. I suppose part of it is that I had no pre-conceived ideas of what the Toa should look like. I didn't know what Lewa Mata or Lewa Nuva looked like, so Lewa Phantoka looked good to me. That and he had a seriously oversized, bad-megablocks sword. BTW: why were those sets called Pantoka and Mistika? I don't recall those terms ever appearing in the story.

What were your First and Last BIONICLE G1 Sets?

My first Bionicle was Gahlok, which I received for Christmas. At that time, I wasn't really into Bionicle at all. A few years late, I bought Carapar and Mantax at 75% off. I couldn't resist, even tough I still didn't "get" the theme. A few months later I bought Gadunka, and that set finally pushed me over the edge. Now I am a full blown collector, and I am attempting to finish off my collection via "Bricklinking" (buying sets piece by piece off of Bricklink) The latest sets I have completed are the six Turaga.

What are your Lego Star Wars collecting habits?

Odd, isn't it? Just because I didn't like the PT movies, doesn't mean I don't enjoy the Clone Wars in general. I'm drawn to the vehicle designs, and I love the variety of Jedi available. Besides, most of the OT sets are rehashes of sets already released, mostly with superficial or minor changes.
