You hit it right there. It's a ground vehicle mostly used for loading (like a certain yellow exo-suit we all know from a famous space movie). The crew were attacked by pirates, the salvage team investigated and found the suits. Speaking of pirates... while I'd love to see more Blacktron after the cool torsos and references in the CMFs and Space Police III, I also wouldn't mind seeing a newer, smaller pirate faction with aliens & humans and maybe a bit less uniformity. Like maybe a couple types of spacesuits and various other outfits, maybe linked by a few colors more than design. But, whatever, it'd be excellent to see new space pirates of any sort! So excited for this set! Amazing reveal campaign and fun design.

My own preference is for Boba to have survived the Sarlacc… but then basically gone on his way hunting bounties for another decade or two, maybe, if not just retiring outright to the Tropical Beach planet on all his earnings from his long career as top-bounty-hunter. Not kicking around nursing a grudge against Han for decades, not popping up again as Leader of Mandalore to help train Han & Leia's daughter to defeat her brother in combat, nothing of that sort. I hadn't heard of the Jedi Hunters before… reading the rumors, it doesn't fill me with much excitement for VII.

I agree… from the start I was hoping they'd do "Armies of Middle-Earth" battle packs akin to SW since there's soooooo much potential there for wave after wave of sets (an Osgiliath Attack set would've been so nice; heck, they could've done two! One w/ ranger defenders and orc attackers, one w/ mounted knights vs orc defenders)… the only "riders" of Rohan we got were Eomer & Theoden… Haldir as the sole representative of Lothlorien… Black Gate Aragorn & Boromir as the only shreds of Gondor attire. Only 2 Ringwraiths, nary a sign of the Witch King (the Mouth looks great, but…come on! Witch King, fell beast, Eowyn, Rohan-garb Merry--BEGGING to be a $20-30 set! It could've been the Lex Luthor's Power Suit of the wave! Tho a Treebeard w/ Merry, Pippin, and an orc would've been a great set in that price range as well, all the more reason for more waves)

It's been reported for a couple weeks now, I think (in a PAB bucket thread in the…General section? I think?). Also in PAB on S@H, but you can Bricklink 'em for a lot cheaper than the $5-each they want. I think someone said they managed to get 12 into the large PAB bucket? Gotta try to hit the store this weekend, see if my local shop has 'em… now if only they'd throw Rohirrim torsos, helmets, and heads in there, too

And akin to that, I hope the suit in the DoJ film is actually gray! I'd love to see the black-cowl/gray-suit combo in the films for a change.

…if the license doesn't expire, maybe we could get an LOTR-themed CMF wave? Should be ridiculously simple to knock out 16 characters. Half of 'em could be army-builders (Gondor! More Rohirrim! Orcs! Lorien Elves!), the other half new characters (Faramir, Eowyn, Galadriel) and/or new prints of existing characters (Rohan-armored Merry, Gondor Pippin, etc).

Same here. I got Homer & Bart while helping a friend complete his collection of the series, and while I'm really impressed by how well they translate, I haven't followed The Simpsons in years and would be much more excited about a Marvel or DC series of CMFs (but really, I'd be most excited about concurrent licensed/non-licensed CMF assortments, instead of having to wait so long between 11 & 12 because of TLM and Simpsons…and that way we might get both DC & Marvel characters, maybe a wave of LOTR to finally give us some Gondor troops, more orc varieties, Gondor Pippin, Rohan Merry, Old Rivendell Bilbo, the Witch-King, Armored Eowyn, etc)

Maybe when the sequel actually hits we'll see some more… would be nice to get a Rocket minifig in the red GotG uniform, presuming he ends up in one. A comic-based set (post-Conquest GotG, not the recent Bendis era) with Pete, Rocket, and Adam Warlock all in the dark blue uniforms would be fun, maybe with Vance Astro complete w/ Cap shield (and/or hooded/caped Gamora, Phyla-Vell/Martyr, Moondragon, Mantis, Bug, Jack Flagg, etc… that team was huge!)

Santa-beard in gray would be nice, but I don't mine the Wiley beard in gray, either… more fodder for dwarves! (already have two dwarves sporting Wiley-beards; looking forward to seeing how it works with the various graybeard heads or even mustaches like CMF Explorer) Spooky Girl looks okay, Piggy Guy's great. Prospector's biggest draw for me is the beard & more Western body parts, even tho I tend to focus on Castle & Scifi.

It's mostly the eyes, but Luke & Leia also have more marks against 'em with the slightly-too-low mouth on old Lukes (or are the eyes too high? whichever), and the tiny eyes & mouth on Leia. And of course Luke having tan hair is super-annoying, but that extends to every set with any hairpiece-wearing Luke (should be Dark Tan, but could be worse…could be Bright Yellow like the original Kenner Luke). The other humans fare fairly well, and Palpatine, despite the light bley, looks really good. Still amazes me the set was released so long ago (I only got it in 2011--didn't build it until 2012 tho!)

I love 'em, too (I even like the Striker--in 'A-wing' mode; wings extended, I get the "meh!" feeling as well). The Mantis feels like a Firespray/Slave-1 precursor, the smuggler's ship is obviously heavily Falcon-influenced. My biggest problem with the ships in TOR is that the interiors were scaled waaaaaay up for playability, so they're far too roomy. The tallest Wookiee wouldn't have to worry about bumping his head in the doorways. Anyhoo, the Ghost & Phantom are musts for me. I'll need to rebuild my 7965 Falcon to get it set up next to the Ghost in the near future!

I agree, Carson! And vice-versa with fleshie torsos, tho I've seen plenty of folks use some with yellow heads and it's barely noticeable. I think the tiny bit of yellow on the fur- shouldered one Ed-209 designed at the top would be okay... Yellow undershirt!

Nope, Borex & the earlier discussion had it right: it's Hulkbuster based on a custom. Juggernaut's head wouldn't have those things sticking up in the silhouette, but the one I linked has those.

I'm looking forward to the Exo Suit mostly because of the Exo Suit, which seems to have a lot more of a greeble-filled construction than the other mech-ish constructs you listed. The potential for a pristine white-suited Classic Spaceman is just a bonus! …tho I'd also love to have the spaceman/robot set pop up in the US. My very first Space set had a blue robot in it, and as I accumulated more sets/parts over the next couple years, I tried to build new robots very similar to the one in this promo set. SW Battle Droid minifigs have nuthin' on the Classic Space robots!

As I understood it, I'm guessing he's referring to the near-infinite variety of bat-themed vehicles TLG can produce for Batman sets. Batmobiles, Batboats, Batwings, Batcycles, Batsubs, Batcopters, BatUVs, Batsubs, Battanks, Batsmartcars, Batsegways, Batrockets… large, small, Arctic, black, dark blue/gray, they can always come up with a new iteration to fill out a set. While the potential for minifigs is tremendous even when you step out of the Batman area, it becomes a little trickier to fill out a set. Not many other superheroes have as much in the way of easily-identifiable transportation or home bases. Sure, with enough digging you can find all sorts of goofy vehicles for Spider-Man, Green Arrow, and Superman…but would it be worth making a set built around it? I think probably 'yes', tho they'll be awfully silly (like Superman's Supermobile--with extending mechanical punching-arms!). In absence of silly non-Bat vehicles or stuff like Riddler's dragster, there's mech suits like Lex's power suit (would be great for Metallo!), there's various City-type vehicles like the armored truck in the Doc Ock set for bank heists & the like, but I imagine it's more of a challenge to craft compelling sets in various sizes around all those characters. With Batman, it's easy: hero, villain, maybe a sidekick and/or henchmen, maybe a colorful enemy vehicle, and some Bat-vehicle. Rinse, repeat. I don't think it's scraping the bottom of the barrel… Damien or not, it's a "kid" Robin in an actual set, no leg-swaps needed, easily used as Dick, Jason, or Tim if you prefer. And after Monster Fighters & the Bat CMF, Man-Bat's an easy reuse (unless they make some sorta dragon-men in a future theme, those arms aren't likely to get a whole lot of use after this!).

Isn't trans-bright-green vivid enough? I love it for lightsaber blades, far more than the trans-neon-green they used to be. I wouldn't mind seeing it… and building a trans-bright-green boxing glove would be pretty fun! Yes! I forgot about Azog. That's definitely how any con-exclusive characters should be handled!

Leg printing always adds something! So much of the 'look' of many of these heroes is the color breakdown… Cyke has the yellow visor, yellow trunks, yellow gloves & boots. Superman has the red cape, red trunks, red boots. Nixing the boots eliminates a good chunk of that image… of course, it's also because we're so spoiled lately with printed legs showing footwear (CMF Warrior Woman, Gladiator, Barbarian, Romans… Wonder Woman… stuff like that). Just be glad we aren't whining over Han Solo figs not having printed black boots! (umm…we're not whining about that yet, are we? I haven't checked the threads enough to notice) For Cyke, would've been nice to get a 'bald-cap' like Shakespeare & CMF Grandpa, with visor attached. It'd mostly be useful for other Cyke versions (dark blue Astonishing one w/ gray visor… blue w/ white printed stripe & yellow visor for X-Factor, or even yellow printed stripe for early X-Factor), but could probably be repurposed for an Ultra Agents character, some future spaceman or alien, etc. No less useful than the Wolverine mask! I'd love to see a Kitty Pryde, both classic blues (dark blue for the torso & hips, or regular blue? Sand or medium blue for the legs?) & modern "yellow/black" Astonishing/Professor Kitty versions… and the "Baby Dragon Norbert" in lavender for Lockheed is a must!

More Rohan helmets?! NEVER! I think a mix of Rohan helms, the classic Castle helm w/ chinguard (or chainmail coif, it can be thought of), and various hair pieces (not every viking needs a helmet! Many probably preferred to skip them entirely, and it'd let some more of those fun Thorin's Company hair/beard pieces to get used elsewhere, along with tried & true hair pieces)

Hi! I suppose you're right, and I wouldn't really quibble over "(KO)TOR" so long as stuff was made! I love the battlepack ideas; throw in various speeder builds (even the one from the Republic/Sith set in new colors) and they could churn out those sets super-quick (I've long wanted Hasbro and TLG to do up the silver & red KOTOR Sith Troopers, but neither seem as enamored of them as I am). Haven't nabbed the Defender yet, but I love the look of the Knight & Consular. Getting more named characters from the trailers & game would be epic as well.

Black Adam… CMF Elf hairpiece in black with flesh-colored ears? That'd be fun. But I'd much rather they not do any SDCC exclusives again; that's why people turn to the knock-offs, since waiting X years for an actual Phoenix or Green Arrow isn't much better than paying thru the nose for the official ones. Yes! The Lex Power Suit is a great example… 3 exclusive figs, two major Leaguers… the Super Hero themes have lots of potential, yet too much seems wasted on movies (and Batman).

If someone cleans up that one a bit, but leaves the furry belt & green surcoat, it'd be about the perfect Mitgardian torso, wouldn't it?
