The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Maniac4Legos replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That seems reasonable to me, since LEGO kept most of their other prices down for LEGO Movie sets. LEGO wants customers to afford their products, and they know we'll buy LEGO sets at cheaper prices. With that in mind, if the Sea Cow will be expensive, it may go for no more than $200, with the other sets for no more than $100.- 2626 replies

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
Maniac4Legos replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I saw this on Facebook, it was awesome! I really want an exclusive figure from buying movie tickets!! It looks amazing! They gave him brown hair which is great, new color for headphones, a brand new shirt (based on Master Builder Academy), and new belt printing. The torso can just be useable for minifigs though because of a sliver or grey near the collar.- 2626 replies

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion

I could see this as being either a promo from Shop at Home, a LEGO Store Exclusive giveaway or a promo for preordering the video game at a certain store like Walmart or GameStop. True, EBGames Australia posted about their preorder minifigure, the Taco Tuesday Emmet, but maybe this will be one for another video game retailer. Just like GameStop has a preorder bonus (SpiderMan key chain) different from Walmart (Iron Patriot). Of course the preorder Emmet face looks like him! It has his normal happy face slightly changed by a drawn on mustache. It's the same drawn design used in figures like Scribble Face Bad Cop and Biznis Kitty. Interesting! I haven't heard that news but I'd look forward to preordering tickets! I haven't seen a DJ in the movie clips but I could check again. I hope he doesn't look like Series 8...- 2626 replies

Lego Polar Xxpress 2013
Maniac4Legos replied to legomilk's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
As great as that would be for a clue, doesn't anyone else think we've had a bunch of space themes already? It was only last year, 2011, that we had Alien Conquest. I expected it to run longer but LEGO let it run only in 2011. I like space themes alot (Mars Mission, Alien Conquest, Space Police), but I would like to see the Polar Xxpress theme push through. The last time TLG made a polar theme was in the early 2000's. Since then, there was some arctic-related activity in Alpha Team and Star Wars (Hoth of course). There have been quite a number of collectible space minifigures (series 1, 3, 6, 7 and 8). I would like to see more modern arctic sets. Just like the underground theme (Rock Raiders and Power Miners) and ninja themes (Ninja, Ninjago), these are not frequent and are more exciting than recreating the same type of theme with different pieces. That is one reason I didn't Kingdoms right after Castle (2008 version). It felt repetitive! I apologize Gatanui. I am not trying to diminish your hopes on another space theme. -
According to Target.com (link below), there is a new book for Ninjago, in stores October 29, 2012. Available for pre-order now for $13.99. Includes NEW LLOYD ZX minifigure in a kimono outfit! Possibly what we will see for 2013? I don't know, but it sounds like a nice detailed book about all the Ninjago characters and even mentions the TV show from Cartoon Network! Check it out! http://www.target.com/p/lego-ninjago-character-encyclopedia-by-dk-publishing-hardcover/-/A-14242241

Monster Fighters 2012
Maniac4Legos replied to Darth Nihilus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Excuse my wording, but I meant as you wrote. I meant, the only possible minifigures for this pack would be as shown, because the rest are made similarly in Monster Fighters. -
Excellent job on this tree!

Welcome to Eurobricks, Simple1DEA! I loved Bionicle up to the Phantoka year. From there I didn't get the storyline and thought it dragged for too long. I did buy Skrall from the Glatorian year. I'm put off by the modern prices too (they used to be much better in pricing) but I still buy them . I might buy pieces too, maybe from Pick A Brick. Can't wait for the new creations.

Welcome to Eurobricks Chard! If 8 Galaxy Patrol minifigs is too much for you, I could take them off your hands I liked the CMF line but I stopped buying for about 3 series after getting 3 werewolves and scientists (series 4) but getting back soon! Monster Fighters is a good line too.

Monster Fighters 2012
Maniac4Legos replied to Darth Nihilus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I can't wait for that set! Great addition to MF. The witch is exactly the same and the ghost may not be so soon in the CMF series (if at all) after Monster Fighters. TLG wouldn't include other monster CMFs like Crazy Scientist, Vampire and Monster bc they're in the MF theme. What about the werewolf? He's not near the same in CMF series 4 as in MF. -
Welcome AncientDayz! It is a nice site, isn't it? I also enjoy castle and some modular builds
