  1. Oh wow! It can only be the E92 then?
  2. Looks like the competition is going to be fierce! I like the variation in designs, and I love this pane.
  3. And I thought I might have a chance...
  4. Lego have made many go-karts since the release of Technic, however with the last one being released 5 years ago, I thought it was time for a new one. Features - Steering (controlled by the steering wheel) - A functioning disc brake (lever behind the drivers seat) - Tubular chassis, similar to that of a real go-kart - Look-a-like 125cc Honda engine Here are some pictures!
  5. Since building that go kart, I've been thinking about replicating Senna's DAP Racing kart from the early 80's. Also, a go kart like the old Tyrrell F1 cars would be great!
  6. My favourite car, now in Lego. I've always wanted to build one but the lines of the body have been to hard to replicate, for me anyway. This is fantastic, and has all the details of a '67. I must commend you.
  7. Maybe you saw a Can-Am Spyder. It looks similar to that Honda, however they are built like that from the factory.
  8. I thought I was the only one who had ever done that!
  9. The front springs are a custom design similar to that of Piterx's in his Ford Fiesta but in a larger scale. The gearbox parts are used to hold the spring in place.
  10. I've always loved truck racing! Nice build, I like how it is lowered like a Formula 1 Racing Truck.
  11. Yes, something like that, but much smaller. Nico71 has made one and I honk instructions are available, so have a look on his website. Take a look here. http://www.nico71.fr/trophy-truck-with-continuously-variable-transmission/
  12. Disc brakes shouldn't be too hard to implement, especially in the rear. Have you thought about putting brake pads on both sides of the disk like in a real car?
  13. From what I see, a lot of things in that design won't work. For instance, the chassis will be very floppy along with some of the 2L pins coming out.
  14. The first thing that sprung to my mind is a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
  15. Looks like a great gearbox! It's far more reliable than I expected considering the gears aren't synchronised. I look forward to the rest of this build!
  16. You can add sounds with Sound Bricks, all be it very simple sounds.
  17. If you used the new Lego wishbone, that would be quite easy. You could use Macpherson Strut suspension or just implement kingpin inclination into the design.
  18. Is there any way to add a ball joint mount, or something that can be used as one? I've been looking at the wheel hub and can't think of a solution that would keep the pivot point inline with the CV joint.
  19. That steering system is brilliant! It's like a very small gear rack!
  20. I agree, this was definitely more important than a smaller design. I also like how this hub can be used for very simple designs swell, similar to current Lego suspension, but it has the potential to do much more. I just wondered about smaller scale because I'm currently designing a car with the 43.2x26 wheels, but I'm trying to implement some advanced suspension geometries, however it's very hard and, I have no clue if it will really work. I think that the 2014 suspension parts will be useful for this sort of design though.
  21. Anyway, I really like the design and think it'd be very useful for super cars. The wheel design is also quite modern and 'cool', as well as looking more like a real wheel than TLG's designs. Have you thought about anything like this on a smaller scale?
  22. To me, it looks like the disc brake could be used as a real disc brake as the wheel has a big enough inset to allow it, whilst the hub could support the linkage.
