Overall I'm pretty happy with the GotG sets, except for these nitpicks: Drax is grey. Star Lord has a red trenchcoat like he did in the concept art, rather than a jacket like he has in the final movie. Groot looks awful. I'd really much prefer a minifig-sized version. They probably based it on this concept art. It sucks that they made him grey since he's definitely more green in the final movie.

Could someone explain to me why Drax is grey? He isn't grey in the movie, he isn't grey in the comics, so why is he grey here?

Comic-Con Minifigures: Are They Worth Getting?
KingPixels replied to BrickBuilder3213's topic in LEGO Licensed
Actually the opposite happens. Completionists end up completely unsatisfied because they're so bloody hard to get. -

Wiggum looks really strange without the gut. They're still way too big.

Lego Loosing the Ball with Superheroes Sets
KingPixels replied to Tom Jurassic's topic in LEGO Licensed
I will never forgive LEGO for the ComicCon exclusives. It's basically a huge eff-you to all Marvel and DC collectors, since it's essentially an important character that is impossible to obtain without paying ludicrous prices. I don't know what they were thinking with those, since all that happens is they get bought at the cons by scalpers and go straight to eBay. If anything they've made me lose interest in collecting since I'm a completionist and they're releasing a handful of exclusive figures that I will never own. It makes me angry to think about. -
There's not enough of an incentive for LEGO to develop translucent hands. I really don't see it happening. Besides, the hands are the single part of the minifig that gets the most stress, with all the items clicking in and out of it.

These are amazing! Especially Grifter. I'd love to see what you could do with some Marvel characters!

If you're looking for a head for the War Doctor, then Theoden from LotR is the way to go. Eerie resemblance to John Hurt. Bricklink.

Dungeons & Dragons minifigs including Drizzt
KingPixels replied to AmperZand's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
All you have to do is save the pictures to your hard drive and upload them to a site like http://www.imgur.com. The reason your links aren't working is that only people with accounts can view images hosted on that website. Nothing to do with Eurobricks.- 8 replies

It's not even English I was correcting, it was French. But point taken.

Dr Leg O'Brick's Superhero Customs
KingPixels replied to Dr Leg O Brick's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
That's strange, I've never seen him referred to as that before. -
Not really grammar, it's just a really common error. It's a French expression that people for some reason assume is English. Like when people write 'per say' instead of 'per se'.
