What your most wanted Pirate theme ship?
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Dr Leg O Brick's topic in LEGO Pirates
@Hive and Brinstar, Ive bought 47 items from ebay and have only been ripped of once. That one time was was when I bought an old large 1997 UFO set with the original box, 100% complete BIN £15. I thought even for the parts it was worth it. Turns out it was missing 7 pieces and one Mini-Fig (that I already had so it was of no big concern). I know that 99.9% of people on Bricklink are trust worthy, but I just prefer ebay because I am more likely to get a bargin there. -
As theres a topic about UFOs and none that I can find about Ghosts, I thought a topic might be validated. I do relise that it is likely a MOD will lock this as this is boarder line with religon, I still thought Id give it a go. Have you see things, heard things, felt things that cann't be explained? My house, if you can belive it, is haunted. Ive had ornaments thrown at me (even Lego once), pinched, had my Lights/computer/TV turned on and off and I even been possesssed once. Every night I get watched in the bath, my door shaken, it runs up and down the stairs and all across the house, and plays with my Heroclix and Lego regularly. It also drains you when you walk in to the house, shadows move by themselves and everyone (includeing pets) have/had an illness suddenly happen to them with no family history of the said illness. So, whats your experience with the other side?

What your most wanted Pirate theme ship?
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Dr Leg O Brick's topic in LEGO Pirates
^I was ripped of on Bricklink once, and all thought there are 100's of good Bricklink sellers that I would trust, I cann't bring myself to use it again. Plus, if you wait on ebay for a bit, you can sometimes get a good bargin (and I don't have £100 spare at the moment anyway). -
I asure you Endgame its not a joke. It is very, very real. My location is the twilight zone as a joke, a show of my fandom of the old 1960s(?) show. I will, however, change it as its obviously caused offence to Endgame. Sorry to of even started this, I did relise after creating this that it has/will likely to cause affence and result in a heated debate and proberbly me being banned. If theres no futher activity on this topic I think this should be locked. Im not trying to mini MOD or anything but as afore mentioned nothing is likely of value to come from this. Sorry again to anger/upset fellow EBers with my expierence/views. I just want to be a part of this amazing Lego fan community and am sad to see in doing so I have upset a fellow fan...

What your most wanted Pirate theme ship?
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Dr Leg O Brick's topic in LEGO Pirates
Funny, in England on ebay I cann't find a SES under £200, but after months of waiting and three pirate joblots later Ive got 99% complete BSB missing one sail for about £40 pounds . Ive added some new parts as well, but the only parts that where missing where the three detail pieces above the windows and on the back of the ship, some of the curved pieces on front, the afore mentioned sail, two cannons, some of the bits on back but all in all for the price shes still a mighty fine ship. For the price to me its a bargin. -
^Thats damn right! You wait for months for a good deal on a set and none come up, so you end up buying it for £300 only to find it a week later for £65. Great review, you have made my mind up on this set. I think I might hold out for 6276, as I only have three bluecoats and four musketeers.

Amazing review, I am eager to read your next one! Have you thought about joining the Reviewers academy? Your reviewing skills are excelent. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=20631 Good luck on finding more MISB sets, and one more question, witch are you going to do next? A smaller set or a bigger set?

What was the last movie you watched?
Dr Leg O Brick replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Last films I watched where: POTC 1,2,3, and 4 for the first time. Amazing, although 3 was slightly weaker than the others. Id definetly give them all a 9.6 out of ten. Star Trek First Contact. If your a TNG Trekkie and havent seen this, then I don't know what planet your been living on. Its my second favourite Star Trek film, and with the Borg, The Enterprise E, a breif apearence of the Defiant from DS9, and time travel, its a must watch. Word of warning though, if this is your first Star Trek or TNG Trek, then its better of if you watch a few episodes to get to know the Borg and the main characters first. 9.8 out of ten. Groundhog Day. Hilarious, it revolves around a crankey, rude, Weatherman who keeps on living the same day over and over again. Its a great comedy and a real good film, but not as good as the others that ive wrote about. Ive also noticed that some people love this film (like me), and others cann't stand the thing. 8.9 out of ten. Return to Me. This one was slaughted by the critics when it came out, but it a very good, sad in places, movie. Won't into much detail as its would be ruining the story, but its a great love film if you into that sort of thing, 9 out of ten. Thats it for now, but I will be posting alot here when I get the time. I tend to watch any genre but horror, although its mostly Sci-Fi, action, and comerdy films that I watch. -
Le Fourageux, French third-rate ship of the line, minifig scale!
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Captain Blackmoor's topic in Pirate MOCs
I all to well know how destructive family can be, as in the case of my cousin. He destroyed my entire collection, and im still searching for some pieces to this day. Every year, I lock my collection up when I go on holiday. Thing is, I have 40,000 more pieces since then, along with a mint, MODed BSB and IF. If he touches them, im going to go mad. Amazing ship, and good luck with the rebuild. -
Having only just watched all 4 POTC films in one sitting at home, its such a same Lego has not made this ship yet. Your ship is stuning, and I'd buy it in a heart beat. Amazing ship with all the stuning details in the film, just showed it to a friend and at first he thought it was a picture of the real thing. I've got a few questions. 1. Do you have the offical Dutchman crew? 2. If you do/don't, do you plan on adding them/buying them? Good luck on reaching 10'000, and what ever you do, don't drop it!

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
^I agree with the thinking behind Pirates. I would love to see them return, but they would most likely be like NinjaGo, where they have "adapted" the source material. Or it could be LEGO trying to give Pirate fans new things to buy while there is no theme out. Or maybe, just maybe, they are left over ideas from the 09 wave, like the Female Alien, Galaxy Patrol or the Hazmat Guy figures. -
Non-Pirate Mini-Figures Useful for Pirate MOCing?
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Athos's topic in LEGO Pirates
So Sorry to dig up an old thread like this, but since we have had 5 CM series and a number of new sets includeing POTC, I thought me/other people could add new things to this topic. As I have only 15 Proper pirates and am mostly a purist I have found this topic quite useful when I was a lurker and wanted to give something back to it. So heres a few of my ideas... The Royal guard from S5. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=col067 The Leprecaun's hat and torso. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=3878pb01 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=973pb1064c01 Some Pharaohs quest torsos would fit in just. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=973pb782c01 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=973pb835c01 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=973pb781c01 The bandits torso and legs from S6. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=973pb1044c01 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=970c00pb140 Indiana Jones theme torso and legs http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=973pb131c01 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=970c00pb040 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=973pb132c01 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=973pb594c01 Pretty much every torso and hair piece in POTC. Sea King from S7 as a merman/figure head http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?M=col101 Atlantis Portal Emperor as a figure head http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?M=atl013 Series 8 Thespian, Pirate, and Conquistador Olimpic swimmers torso (Sorry, no direct image) http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=tgb002 Sorry about the links, Im still getting used to useing EB, Thanks -
General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
I think it could be a new ship, as their are some of the never to be second wave Alien Conquest sets on a simlar shelf, with various new sets around (Helms Deep, Mandolarion Shuttle...), possiblly from the rumored Ninja VS Pirates theme? Who knows... -
LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I need a pacemaker after seeing this! I have just made four new pirate ships and will be all over these figures. Don't have much to add to the positive comments, but is The Pirate Captian's hook chrome? The skier looks like Lady Penelope to me for some reason. All in all a good series. -
Look what I just got - Report your latest Pirate LEGO acquisitions
Dr Leg O Brick replied to V()()D()()'s topic in LEGO Pirates
Bought the parts to nearly complete my BSB from e-bay. Four large ship rigging, four masts, string, two small pirate flags, one large and one small barel, ships wheel, most of the hull for the BSB, and four out of the five sails from the BSB for £24.99 BIN. Also picked up some sails for £1-£1.50 each as well. A few months ago I bought most of the other parts for the BSB, so now I have a mostly complete, MODed, BSB for about £40-£45. Bargin. -
Hi,Im Dr Leg O'Brick and Ive been visiting EB for about five years, but was underage at the time to join. Some might know me from Brickset or Lego.com, as Ive been on them for a while. I really collect anything, from Sci-Fi to Pirates to Superheros and the Creator Houses, so expect to see me post everywhere. Aside from LEGO, I am a massive fan of Marvel and DC comics and particaly Star Trek. Ive seen all but a few episodes of Enterprise, and am rewatching season 6 and 7 of Deep Space Nine and season 2 (remastered) of the original series now. I look foward to being part of the EB experience and making new friends here for years to come. See you soon.

Pirates! Had to be of course, but a close second is given to the British.

To add to the posts above, the piece in question was used alot in Power Miners. Great review, and like so many others Im not sure if I will buy it because its so damn big to fit in my layout!

"Incoming..." What an amazing replica of the Enterprise, and as stated above its so hard to find Star Trek MOCs. Them shuttles are perfect. I myself am a massive fan of Star Trek, and watch at least one a day. To add my fuel to the fire, I prefer the good old original Enterprise, followed by the E and D. Of course, if you had to say any ship it would be the Defiant that would come second. Again, an amazing ship, and with your skill I would try your hand at another, if you so wish. I think a Klingon Bird of Prey would look amazing fireing a volly of torpedos at her, but thats just me.

What look to be the 2012 "must have" sets
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Faefrost's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Any of the Superhero first wave sets, if Star Wars is anything to go buy. I bet they will be 40%-50% more in ten years than now, although any of the above will be pricey in years to come. -
The 'Golden Age' of Lego, is it now?
Dr Leg O Brick replied to Hey Joe's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I, although I am biased, would say 1978-1995 and 2009-....As many have noted LEGO is in a new golden age now, and lets hope it lasts for years to come. -

Brilliant forced prospective Julandrus! The use of the (what looks like) canons as the reactors in the background and the use of technic bricks as bullet marks is great as well as the minifigure head, its spot on for this creation.

Any sign of them in Birmingham yet?
