2 words: Imperial Flagship I've managed to net one of these in as new condition for sub £200. I'm so pleased. It makes my QAR and BSB look like miniatures.

The trailer for the new Ninjago series shown at SDCC shows some pirates - this could possibly be translated into a set or sets at some point: Have a look at the trailer here: http://www.telly.com/JUYSW?fromtwitvid=1. Pirates are around the 0:38 point, with the Captain saying "more pyjama men?". I like the pirate behind him who has 2 patches and a parrot. It wouldn't be the ideal way for us to get more sets, as if they are, they would be designed for playability rather than build. Rich

I've just acquired a ton of Classic Pirates stuff, including a complete Enchanted Island and Rock Island refuge - a few ships, a load of islanders and "pocket money packs" like King Kahuka. It's an awesome haul - and the best thing is, it's from my friend who has been hoarding them in mint condition or near mint for years. It wasn't cheap, but for the condition of everything, I've paid less than Bricklink prices.

Hi, My name is Rich, and I'm a Legoholic. I'm from Yorkshire in the United Kingdom, and I've recently come out of my Dark Ages. Back in March, while clearing out one of the spare rooms for my 2nd child in (which is due imminently on August 7th), I came across a stash of Indiana Jones stuff that I'd been hoarding for a few years (I'm a big Indy fan). I noticed some LEGO (Motorcycle Chase). After opening it and inspecting it, I decided to have a look into what LEGO was doing now - as I felt I may have missed the boat on the Indy lego. I was right, but to my amazement, there was a set with Superman in it! That was it, I had to have that Minifig - from there I started on CMFs, and now I'm hooked. To start with it was all about the minifigs, but now I'm interested in the sets too. In fact I'm looking forward to putting my daughter to bed at 7pm so I can start putting together the Hoth Wampa Cave set. I'd love to build it with her, but she's only 18 months old, so she's more likely to eat it than build it. My most recent purchase is a used, but 100% complete Motorised AT-AT - I can't wait for it to arrive so I can start building it. Anyway, I found Eurobricks through Brickset, and I like what you have to offer here. I look forward to getting to know some of you, and I may know a couple of you from Brickset. Keep building Rich.

Thanks for the offer. I have a couple already, and trust me, the amount of bricks I've bought over the last 2 months is practically criminal so I'm well on my way. I'm beginning to feel like what I'm doing is wrong. The postman must love rattling the packages to see if it's more LEGO. Thanks to everyone else too for such a warm welcome. Don't get me wrong, I much prefer the flesh colours, and the fact that there are a couple more ships to choose from now - but licensed franchises are so restrictive. It leaves no room to think outside the box because the builds are based on the movies. That said, I love the minifigs.

This is inspirational! I'm currently collecting parts for a MOC ship build. I have a BSB, a Caribbean Clipper, and another BSB on the way. I wasn't sure I'd be able to to what I want to do with the parts, but seeing what you've managed with just 2 BSB's (and a few extra bits) has re-affirmed my conviction to do this. Regards Rich

^ It really does. I have this MOC concept in my head, so on top of the AT-AT, I've just bought myself a Caribbean Clipper, and a LOT of Pirates. The wife doesn't know yet, but I have a feeling I'm going to get an ear-full. :-/

Thanks everyone. It's nice to know I'm not the only one. I just wish I'd have re-discovered it sooner - I feel that I've missed a heck of a lot of really good SW sets that I'm going to have to pay through the nose for now that they are discontinued.
