I don't think 'whole new cast' would be good; they should at least keep some of the original movie ones on; eg. Captain America as the leader of the Avengers. Mark Ruffalo has like 6 pictures left under his contract, so I don't think he's going anywhere in the long term.

Been rereading the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov; probably my favourite author ever, with the exception of maybe J.R.R. Tolkien.

You're probably right, seeing as Marvel will probably wanna fit as much as possible in the next few years. Hopefully they help as minor supporting characters in Captain America or Iron Man 3.

Bane and Nick Fury for sure; the TDK Rises version is definitely better than the comic-book one they have right now. Commissioner Gordon would be cool to have too.

Profitable is right; I read somewhere that Disney was going to include the shot of a building from Amazing Spider-Man in the Avengers (Oscorp, maybe) during the NYC battle, but it didn't get done in time or something. If they do bring in the Fantastic Four, which I doubt, I wonder who they'll have play Johnny Torch?

Great review on what looks like a set worth buying. I really like the detail on the sandtroopers; plus their backpacks come with pieces that could be used as lightsaber hilts.

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of the ballista that came with 9471. Yours is a nice build, and it shoots pretty far too!

Dain was never mentioned in the trilogy, but I don't think anything like that was changed. It'd be too confusing for kids reading the book and then watching the movies afterwards.

For me, Superman was never a favourite superhero, but if Christopher Nolan is producing (and apparently he'll have a lot of influence on the film), then I'll probably check it out in theatres. Too bad they couldn't get Brandon Routh as Superman, I liked him in Superman Returns.

I think it'd be funny just for Schmidt to be walking around Asgard wondering where he is, and then worshiping Odin and all the Asgardians, and then get kicked when Rogers tell Thor who he really is. While I doubt it'll happen, a Civil War type deal would be an interesting plot for Avengers 2, though it probably won't a big impact with just 6 superheroes so far (not counting Ant-Man).

Got Uruk-hai army a few weeks ago; for now, I think I'll wait for the new line of LOTR/Hobbit stuff to come out before spending any more big bucks. There's also all the Avengers sets I haven't touched yet. If I have some spending room, I'll probably just go with Gandalf Arrives or Shelob Attacks, just to spend conservatively.

If Orc Forge had more Uruk-hai and maybe even a Warg or 2, I'd consider it an army builder. Right now, Uruk-hai army is probably the set to get for that type of purpose; the big structure thing in Orc Forge kind of defeats said purpose.

All in all, I think it was an amazing movie and conclusion; probably my favourite of the series. There were a few things though: The Dark Knight trilogy is definitely my favourite Batman series; it'd be interesting to see whether they make a new one, though it'll be hard to top Nolan's work.

I dunno if they can do it with all the releases coming out, but Warner Bros. should put a message before the film starts in remembrance of the Aurora victims.

James Holmes deserves to be executed for this, there were little kids in that crowd he shot and injured if not killed.

I'm most looking forward to Thor to see how what kind of consequences Loki is gonna suffer and Captain America 2 to see how Rogers fits into the modern world. As for the minifigures, the Bane one is probably the one I'll be searching for.

Well Lego did lose a lawsuit against MegaBloks trying to stop them from making similar toys, so that might be a factor. I don't hate alternate brands, I just prefer Lego's superior quality and sets.
