Pick up Uruk-hai Army for sure, if just for the minifigures that come with it. Attack on Weathertop might be a good one too, but it'd be too expensive to get them both together. Choose one of those, and then maybe grab Gandalf Arrives on the side; it should be within your budget.

Saw Bourne Legacy on Friday night; not as good as the past 3, I'm afraid. Supremacy is still my favourite.
-
Nah, chronologically it should be the first. It's mostly based in the First and Second Ages (Hobbit and LOTR were the Third).

Silmarillion is sort of like a prequel to LOTR that most people know, in that Sauron was a Maiar who served Morgoth.

Letters From Iwo Jima; still prefer Flags of Our Fathers a little more.

Do I actually have to buy stuff online from Lego in ordered to be considered eligible to buy VIP-exclusive stuff at Lego Stores (in this case, the Top 5 Minifigures package), or do I just need to show that I have a Lego account?

Well, the way that Nolan decided to go with the film probably would have made it rather hard for Batman to be the way he was in Begins and TDK. For him, it's been 8 years of being alone, sitting around doing nothing, and basically wearing his bones completely down (as you could probably see by the first fight with Bane, he was terrible). For me, I thought Rises was mostly about character development, the way Batman retrained himself by fixing his back and then learning how to fight properly all over again, and eventually learning to use the fear of death, which in turn led to deciding to make the jump without the rope so he could save Gotham. I personally liked it better too way; too much fighting and repetition isn't great for a trilogy conclusion, especially this trilogy conclusion.

If only all movie rights were like that. :/

Welcome to Eurobricks, hope to see you post your MOC's soon! :D

Great review! I've also been rather looking forward to this set cause of the minifigures that are in it, but I'm not sure the overall set itself is worth the money.

Yeah, I dropped by there the other day and one of the staff said they didn't have any; it was weird, though, cause they had one on display along with Jabba's Palace in the clear box kind of deals. It wasn't a big deal, I just went with Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape instead. You should also check out Walmart for any sets that are on sale.

Welcome to Eurobricks; hope to see you around in the Star Wars sooner or later!

Welcome to Eurobricks! ~From a fellow Canadian.

A more efficient idea would for Lego to animate may 4-5 memorable scenes from each movie, using all the original dialogue, and then post them online. A full movie would be too tedious.

The design is pretty good; if possible, you should try to make it so you can bend Batman's legs to have his head/upper body somewhat face up or forward.

Picked up a Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape, but only cause the Lego Store in Toronto ran out of Desert Skiffs. :(

(Finally) got myself an Avenging Cycle set.

I definitely have to get one of these now.

Welcome to Eurobricks! You should maybe get into some of the other popular themes like Star Wars and LOTR; they're a lot of fun as well. :D

For anyone who hasn't seen the Elrond minifig:

That works too, I suppose. :P Wish I could've gone to San Diego, but I had to do chemistry last month.
