I know that this is a very unpopular opinion, but I'd like TLC to go back to studded technic sets and 4w city cars & trucks.

42113 Reconstruction Guide

Thanks, I will try this. But as mentioned before - could you provide a single scan of page 174? Because it is folded in the PDF file. -

@Ngoc Nguyen Would it be possible that you share the scanned pics instead of a pdf file? In this case, I'd try to trim and rotate the images, and then make a pdf of them. -
I collect, because I simply like the looks and the style of the late 1970s and 1980s sets. The modern sets from year 2000 until today, they don't appeal to me. Many of them appear ugly to me, with only very few exceptions.

I never saw straight RC train track sections that were NOT warped. Maybe it is intended (for whatever reason), or it is a quality issue that exists since 2006.

Well, the modern studless technic models look like cheap China toys, at least for my opinion. And they constructions are weak and wobbly, you need a zillion of connectors to make them somewhat sturdy. (of course, this increases the official "parts count content" printed on the box). The studded technic sets need way less parts to get constructions that are more solid...

Studded technic is better than studless.

I agree totally... Lego was never cheap, but in the 80s and early 90s, quality was good. Today, the quality of bricks, stickers and boxes is poor, but the prices are beyond everything. Technic sets consist if stupid and wobbly liftarms instead of solid bricks...

LEGO sets with same numbers but different looks/features

6679 are two different sets same for 6648, 6628, 6375 -
If people like them, they shall buy them. For me, most of the modern minifigs appear ugly.

I believe that it will be something like the pseudo-train 9467.

Is there any old sets not very much priced up?
Carrera124 replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
For me, it is quite the opposite. No matter if used or MISB, ebay is always much cheaper than Bricklink. Of course, availability at Bricklink is better at eBay. -
New Quiz: What train set misses wheel(s) in its inventory?

Still waiting for the solution ;-) Which set misses it's wheels in the inventory, and why? -

They also sold the motor explicitely as an upgrade to the non-motorized and battery-operated trains. You can find these hints in every catalog. -
New Quiz: What train set misses wheel(s) in its inventory?
Carrera124 replied to Reza's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I guess you mean 7750... And there are many other mysteries... why did they sell a black 7865 motor, when 4 of 5 upgradeable sets (7710, 7715, 7722, 7810) would require a red one. -
Oh that's funny. I stumbled upon these strange connectors when reading this topic: Even if the complete wire did not exist on Bricklink, the connectors were contained in set 5065. Maybe sellers forgot to check the instructions in detail and thought that the previous owners bought this service set to repair their 7745 wires.

I wouldn't do it. PF is inferior compared to 9V. And 4563 + 4564 are hard to convert, because there is no space for the receiver and the power box.

Looks as if there are no train doors used... don't understand why the designers go this way.

Do you remember our 7864 discussion? My 7864 instructions from 1980 also cover some other 78xx sets, so I guess it was a kind of generic instruction for multiple sets. Maybe it was included only in 7864, because the power supply was required for sure.

Still have no clue, if it isn't visible on the top pages.

There's a difference at 7735. Your picture shows a track scheme with 2 straight sections in total. A peeron scan shows a title with a total of 4 straight sections, which I assume is wrong. Because 7730 and 7727 also come with only two sections.
