The Yamaha never sucked. It was an improvement over the BMW one. The gearbox was the evidence. The new one does not even bring any concrete information so that someone in their normal senses can start criticizing constructively YET. I am sorry this kind of post just continues to have been making EB look worse for the past few years. You have rants go open a reddit thread. If you have substanciated rants open up about it here. TLG has both side of their coin but this kind of blatant speculations/thoughts/views just destroy the wellness of this Forum.
it's not even that, the paneling is a mess and we don't need to build it to figure it out.
Compared to older models they came up with this one is objectively pretty bad -
wow this is pretty bad
the yamaha sucked, this one somehow is even worse -

This looks amazing so far, and I dont even usually like bikes. Have you ever tried to jump one of these bikes?
the smaller ones have enough speed to hit a kicker and fly... the landing tho is another story

Yes, I understand that it can have a kickstand for when it is parked. My question was how would you keep it upright while driving unless it drives quickly enough to keep it upright like a real bike?
you haven't watched the videos i posted have you?
In a nutshell, a well thought chassis together with an offset pivot for the front fork and the battery moving left and right give you full control while driving the bike.
The bike stays upright and leans into corners when you shift the weight -

Looks good! One question: what is the purpose of motorizing it? Unless you add “training wheels” it won't balance by itself.
Thank you!
I might disagree on that tho :P
I have already built multiple self standing motorbikes
This one shares the same principle of design of its front fork -

dude that's some top quality performance right there! outstanding job!

lovely model dude! I saw it earlier on youtube, you did a great job with the axles too!

You're welcome to have a go at improving it, but please understand that it doesn't work as it is; it'll tear the chain off very easily.
To be honest I think it's fundamentally flawed.
i agree! even tho, you can mount a 2x3 liftarm as a chain tensioner, the reason why it comes off is because when the suspension compresses there's no chain tensioner
still, it's not the best bike to build for it's handling

Looks nice lil' bug; somehow it reminds me on this
yeah that was more or less the idea at the beginning... then i struggled with the rounded shapes at that small scale and i gave up completely
thanks guys i'm glad you like it! Every now and then I still have some time to get back at building, hopefully I'll have more time soon! -
I saw it the other day on youtube! It's incredible! Great job dude!

You sort of were. A few of us (I think I did it the most) took alot of inspiration from your Kraz 255 for you axle setup (and skid plates
). For fun I made it 9 wide instead of 11 wide (no dual drivetrain though), which made the car 15 studs wide, 2 below the allowed maximum. In hindsight not the best choice, I nicknamed my little car "the tumbler" after seeing the video where it's upside down quite a few times (and in the ranking as well)
Originally both axles have steering, but one of the cv-joints on the rear axle kept popping so I adjusted it to a fixed axle before the video of the truck trial. Thought I'd mention that in case somebody wonders why the rear axle isn't steering in the video.
dude this truck looks so good!! I love it

Hey guys!
I've recently made this buggy!
I'm not too satisfied with the looks of it, i might change the body with something else but the chassis has probably one of the best handlings of all the vehicles I've made so far.
I'll update this post when I'll shoot a video or when i'll build a different body, hopefully soon! Hope you'll like it! -
Awesome model dude! I truly apreciated the rear suspension design! That's really clever!

Awesome entry! I love it, the amount of functions is stupidly high for that scale, now I have to put myself at work to get on pair with my wrecker ahah
Well done! -

I like how you made it a pull back, but I think you should give it a try to make it a functional vehicle (steering plus working fake engine). The looks are spot on, and it would be great if there were two implementation options underneath. For me (and this is my opinion) a functional version would fit better in the spirit of the contest, also because I have fond memories of playing with this set, driving it over cushions etc.
I might actually try to make two versions of it, one with functions and one with pullback, at the end of the day the end of the contest is still very far away :) I kinda doubt there's gonna be space to fit both steering and a working fake engine together with the pendulum front axle as it has now but I'll try my best :)

Looks good! That fake engine is just aesthetics ?
Thank you! yeah unfortunately yes but i guess it could be linked to the rear axle if I removed the pullback motor

From an aesthetics view, I think you need to loose some tiles and gain some holes. Mostly over the wheel arches. Maybe the side roof. It looks great but I feel it’s too model team compared to the original technic = points lost maybe.
That is indeed a good hint, i had the same doubt about it, it looked good but too many tiles, how about something like this? it looks a bit bulkier but probably closer to the original bulkiness of the rebel wrecker
update n5
I had to remake the chassis because it was too much of a mess, now it's way cleaner and I'm starting to test the fake engine and how to mount it -

Updates from me!
MOCs:- RC Superbike Series - Free Chassis

- RC Superbike Series - Display Stand
Another thing which just came to my mind yesterday and wasn't tested by anybody (in the brickworld) I guess:
Using a virtual pivot for a motorcycle to get rid of a physical one..Seems like Newton is with me - just need to put it onto a prototype - hopes would be, that it may have less slack then regular coat-hanger physical mounts..
that looks promising, I'm curious to see the first prototype :)

Update n2
So, I've been struggling a bit with the fenders to give the original shape to the model, so far this is the best I could think of.
Another thing I would probably like to add would be a steering system that keeps the desired angle so when pulling it back it could take a curve maybe? Not too sure about it but let's see what happens -
Hi there everyone :)
I always loved this model since i was a kid, I made a studdless RC version around 10 years ago wich didn't come out great but it was similar. When I saw the shrinking contest It's been the first model that came to my mind so here's my WIP for my TC25 entry.
I will probably try to build it in different versions, I still haven't decided if i prefer it as a pullback little car or a more functional one. Given the scale it might be just a pullback with suspensions and an overall look that will try to match the original one. Let's see what comes out at the end :)
Feedback and suggestions are apreciated as usual!
