  1. yeah it would be great having radio control... anyway i don't think the glider is gonna go that fast :P and with a big wing it's gonna be able to carry more weight... but: if the glider works the next step is gonna be an airplane :D cmon this is possible :P
  2. to me that's not a problem that big....i mean, it would be enough running after the glider....zblj is not supposed to make it fly high right :P? if it flyes even at a height of 1 meter that will be great anyway lol
  3. ehm...why? :D it's enough havin two m motors with a worm gear to control the 4 directions of the wing :P
  4. well probably we're gonna need to run after the thing XD
  5. i've found something interesting :P http://www.dimensionsinfo.com/dimensions-of-a-hang-glider/
  6. yeah but make it quickly :D i can't wait to see it lol !!! hmmm i don't think so...it will only cause adding weight to the model....dunno, maybe it's a good idea maybe not :P
  7. you know what? before of everything, you should try putting your propeller on a chassis with wheels and all the power functions pieces to see if it can reach a reasonable speed ...if it's so then you can worry about how to build the delta wing :D
  8. yeah cmon guys! we're not talking about using different motors...or pieces....it's just using a piece of plastic in the same way everyone uses rubber bands :P
  9. maybe not!....have a look at this video... maybe we could make the wings like these probably it's enough that the frame is "sealed" inside of the wings so there's not gonna be much turbolence
  10. this wing can lift over 100kg....with the right proportion yours will lift easily 3-400g :)
  11. here it is....i apologize for the quality of this drawing but im in a hotel room sit on the bed and i've drawn it with a wacom placed on my knees :D anyway... i think it's quite important having the plastic around it tightly firmed....it will give more strenght to the frame and will generate a better portance
  12. maybe: the frame of the whole entire model should be made of axles and connectors, so it will light and solid, and you'd need to wrap the frame with some light plastic sheets....probably it could be good the plastic wrap that's used to store food the main problem is getting the proportions right... i was starting to build it when i first saw your post but then i had to fly to london to work :( anyway, you should start with a small glider that can take off ....if it will, and it will :D, we could start thinking on how to add PF to make the plane roll and maybe land without crashing if you give me some minutes im gonna draw what i mean :) yeah that's not bad but im not sure about the wing's shape and the way he put plastic on it.... plastic should be wrapped really tight around frame
  13. i know anyone is focused on helicopters...but i was wondering: if that motor can lift itself, probably it could also drag a wheeled vehicle, so: what if this wheeled vehicle has wings that can generate portance :P? i mean, to me a lego airplane could easily fly and bring with itself all the power functions that it needs.... that wouldn't be a matter of how much a motor can spin, it would only be a proportions problem to solve
  14. why hasn't anyone attached a gearbox to that motor? i guess im gonna do that once i'll get back from england in march :D i'll build a really fast car lol
  15. i was "studying" how to make a pneumatic engine out of the small cylinders we got...let me check if i can find that topic :)
  16. yeah no rubber bands at all...there's a little bit of snap due to the knob gear...but it's not too much, we definitely need the servo eheh
  17. In the video you see me shifting from 1st gear to 3rd and that was my intention :P it's true that it doesnt snap so good as the sheepo's version, but it's also true that you can shift very quickly from a gear to another... we just need an idea to use it with a servo motor, that will solve every problem! i'll try to think to something lol
  18. can't wait :) i hope photos are clear enough to rebuild it :)
  19. hmmm it's strange that goes so slow...probably for the high weight of the car.... i tested mine with an L motor moving only itself and it seemed good...i'll have to check how its gonna go when i'll add some weight
  20. ok the video is now aviable i apologize for the poor quality of the video...im in a hurry...im gonna upload another one soon :)
  21. ok here's the download link http://www.mediafire...5jkew38lqt3gsvc there are only pictures...i hope they will help :) if you need something in particular ask me! if you can't understand how gears are set, look at the sheepo's instructions on his site, it's pretty much the same except for the two 8 - 24 teeth gears outside the gearbox's head
  22. that clutch works very well with every torque...but if you want to reinforce it, you could cut a 3 stud axle in 3 pieces and fill with a self made 1stud axle those holes, as sometimes they bend on theirselves... im a bit ashamed about it ahaha...i dont know!, i only know that the third gear is 1:1 and the first is 8 teeth knob with the 24 teeth one...dunno about the second and the R gear :P sorry! anyway im uploading a pack of images so you can download it
  23. yeah the two slopes push the yellow pins and when they are pushed switch in a direction or in the other the levers that control the gears selector. unfortunately i have no time to make instructions...i took some photos let me edit them and try to write something on them to make you re-build it :)
