    Disney Properties 2022 - Rumors & Discussion

Any idea when we'll get to know what the Mickey sets are like? I really hope they branch out to include new characters like Pete, Clarabelle, Horace, or Ludwig Von Drake.

Is the next Disney Parks D2C supposed to come out this year along with the next minifigure series? I thought the schedule was set for every 3 years and it's been 3 years since 2019 when we got the Disney Train and Series 2.

I decided it was better to be safe and just grab it while backorders are still available, rather than wait for an unlikely markdown. Especially since the set is sold out at all my local stores.

You're lucky. I'm still holding out that it'll get marked down for Black Friday like back in 2019 when it was first released. Unlikely though.

[MOC] Diagon Alley XL - Finished

Wow, exceptionally done! I love how you've kept the crooked design scheme plus all the bright colors.

I don't think you could make a Seven Dwarfs cottage set and not include all Seven Dwarfs.

Same. I'll lose interest if we get minidolls. The Frozen Castle having minidolls wasn't that bad because at least Elsa and Anna already had minifigures available and Olaf works either way. This is probably the only chance we'll get to see all seven dwarfs in minifigure format though. With the recent news that Lego is going to stop marketing their products with boy/girl labels, I wonder what that means about the continued production of minidolls in general.

    LEGO The Office (IDEAS) 2022

That makes sense then. I remember reading another company had the rights for The Office before.

    LEGO The Office (IDEAS) 2022

I'm surprised The Office got selected after so many rejections but I guess Lego has realized how lucrative these sitcom sets are in the past few years.

Hoping Snow White is able to be approved in the final stage. It says the builder hasn't been able to "tick off all the boxes needed to move forward" so I don't know what that's code for. I didn't consider the minifigure limit but you can't really have the Seven Dwarfs cottage without all Seven Dwarfs. Perhaps Snow White could be cut if she was guaranteed a spot in a potential CMF Series 3 (alongside the Evil Queen or Witch).

    Disney Properties 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I think most of the peripheral Mickey Mouse characters from the shorts and comics would be a better fit for the current line of Mickey Mouse sets rather than the CMF series. Especially since there are still hundreds of classic Disney characters from the movies who would only likely be represented with the CMF series. I'd be very surprised not to see Pete show up in a future Mickey set. I'd also like to see Clarabelle Cow, Horace Horsecollar, Clara Cluck, Max Goof, and Clarice. A Three Caballeros set with Donald, Jose, and Panchito would be great as well.

    Disney Properties 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

I honestly feel like Apprentice Mickey is too iconic a design for Disney to put randomly in a CMF series or a regular set. They might save him for a D2C set like they did with Goofy. Especially since the main members of Mickey's gang have all been released by now so they'll want some rare chase minifigure. It could work in a Fantasmic-inspired set, with Maleficent as a dragon and Mickey battling her. The Liberty Belle Riverboat, that features all the characters at the end, could also be featured with a selection of a few minifigures to join Apprentice Mickey.

I love this. It's incredible how much you were able to include, including the mask.

    Disney CMF - Wishlists

Glad you like those additions. I pictured the dwarfs as having regular minifigure heads with the noses just printed on. But you're right that they have pretty distinctive and large noses so I can see the case for new head molds. Especially since at the Disney Parks, the dwarfs aren't face characters and wear full masks. Although Captain Hook is another character who walks around with a mask but his minifigure had a regular head, despite his protruding nose. I feel like they're a better choice for more Disney Parks sets like if we ever get a Haunted Mansion set. But I would love to see a CMF line for It's a Small World with a representative from a dozen or so countries. Especially if they ever released a set for It's a Small World later on with the full automated facade.

    Disney CMF - Wishlists

I love this list. It features most of the major characters who aren't included yet but are super popular. I'm glad you brought up Tarzan and Jane as well since they both deserve to be included, but those pesky rights issues will prevent that. I'd also like to see Cruella, Pocahontas, Pinocchio characters, and Hunchback of Notre Dame characters. I'm still holding out hope that Snow White's cottage is accepted in the current batch of IDEAS submissions. I would love to see some of the 90s Disney movies get sets as well, like the ones you mentioned or Agrabah Palace from Aladdin. Each of those 90s movies have huge fanbases so they would sell pretty well.
