  1. Quick Pic Review: 6873 Spider-Man's Doc Ock Ambush

Thanks for the sneak peak. This set just came in at my (no so local) Lego store and I was on the fence about purchasing it. I want it for the figures, but don't really care for the play set. Could you post a photo of the elements inventory page of the instructions? I would like to see if there are any pieces in there that I can use for my current 'on the go' builds.
  2. Who's up for large Moulds?

I absolutely LOVE the larger figures. I love them so much so, that I plan on trying to collect the other larger scale figures. I do agree that more articulation should have been included with the Hulk. If Lego were just a little bit more forward thinking, then they could have had a removable head and legs as that torso could be used for many other characters (already mentioned).
  3. A quick question from the uninitiated: What form of payment to vendors accept? I'm talking about the major sponsors/vendors more so than individuals selling there. Cash is limited but credit cards are where I'll probably be buried.
  4. The problem I have with using a normal Lego head is that the colour would be all wrong. The character I'm trying to re-create has medium dark skin and I don't think that is available with a female face. The photo I posted above makes her complexion look almost grey. Here is a better photo: I got my order in the mail yesterday so I'm going to start mocking up the figure this weekend.
  5. Spiderman mosiac

    Fantastic job, love it.
  6. I was hoping to get as close as I can to the original size to have the same "clutch" power as an original piece. I'm not really a fan of eyeballin' it. I was hoping that someone here had the info already or has done the swap. I guess I'll just have to look harder for my digital calipers. You may be right about the torso. I was thinking that the armour that I purchased had the deep, plunging V neck like the photo that I posted above. But looking at the armour that I purchased (but have not yet received), you won't see that area. Now to find some medium dark flesh arms from the PoTC Yeoman zombie and I can get back to work.
  7. I was thinking about making Samatha Byrne from Gears of War 3 I was planning on using the Andrea head from the Friends line for the head but I may have to rethink this whole thing. The head is a 'medium dark flesh' but there aren't any 'medium dark flesh' regular torsos, just arms.
  8. Has anyone tried drilling out the hold in the head of a Friends figure to fit on the standard minifig torso? I have an idea for a custom minifig that I want to make using a Friends head and want to know what size drill bit will make the same sized hole as the standard minifig head.
  9. Hello from Canada

Been to both Lego stores and I've seen some of the stuff that ToroLUG has put into the displays. Some great stuff there. I might look into joining a LUG one of these days, need to get more building skills under my belt. I think that at the very least I will attend Brickfete by myself. Not sure if I will bring the rest of the family as I won't be able to browse at my leisure. It will be my first Lego show so I'm not really sure what to expect. Thanks, you may be hearing from me. Always good to have friends across borders. Thanks for the welcome. I am not "a" Dodge Omni fan... I'm probably "the" Dodge Omni fan. Still trying to decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
  10. I think that I might have to check out this show. Never been to ANY Lego shows ever so this would be a first.

Ontario. North of Toronto but still considered part of the GTA. Not "hacking" in the sense that I try to break into your device and steal your info. More 'hacking' as in unlocking bootloaders and loading custom ROMs, basically making the device do exactly what you want it to do. I don't really limit myself to Android (but is it my favourite platform) as I also like to tinker with jailbreaking iOS, PlayStation and XBox. I actually like to tinker with all sorts of things. Anything purchased off the shelf to me is almost like a blank canvass, a starting point. Kind of like Lego, build it how you want it. Definitely not a the common way to spell it with a "c". I can always tell which of my friends are the closest because only my closest friends remember enough to spell my name correctly. ;) Thanks for the welcome. Cool GameCube BTW.
  12. Hello from Canada

I just registered here this morning to I thought that I would just make a quick post to introduce myself. My name is Marc, been a long time Lego fan ever since I was a kid with the classic Space Lego. I now have 2 kids of my own, both girls, who are now getting into Lego themselves. The Lego "Friends" line drew them in, but you can't deny the appeal of the regular Lego which now keeps them hooked. Lego is only one of my many hobbies, the others being building and racing cars, video games, Android hacking and collecting diecast cars. The Lego themes I like to build are Super Heroes, Star Wars and robots/Mechs. Looking forward to learning more and exploring what this forum has to offer. Marc
  13. LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion

There was a guy on eBay selling the 2012 Spidey minifig. I don't really like the design compared to the original Spider-Man movie sets. There is no detail in the pants/legs at all. Having said that, I will still probably pick up this set because Spider-Man is my favourite Super Hero.
