He could have also meant Blackgate prison where Bane releases all the prisoners. Looks like someone beat me to it.

These two models are great and I hope these are the vehicles that are included in the upcoming THE Dark Knight Rises set.

What was the last movie you watched?

I also saw The Dark Knight Rises and thought it was a great way to end the trilogy. -
Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Darth Lurtz replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Most people already have the Joker in normal clothing so this is just a way of including him without rehashing the minifigure. Also the other villains have normal clothing because they are the only versions of the characters available. if you had a penguin in a prison outfit, you wouldn't have much use for it besides being in Arkham. -
I don't even see how popular a TDKR Bane figure would be with kids - he's not all that dynamic looking in comparison to other supervillains. I think its one of those things where you have to see him in the movie to appreciate him. Before the Dark Knight was released, no one was sure of Heath Ledger as the Joker and that soon changed after the movie.

We will get General Zod in Man of Steel later this year. By the way you reminded me, do you think Lego would be allowed to repaint the HULK as Grundy? Both look very similar.
-
If LEGO is smart, they'll make the adventure version of Bilbo only available in Gollum's cave set, for we already have Gollum and the One Ring. It's really impressive what they were able to do with Bag End, I might buy more of it to make Hobbiton.

The examples you've listed don't really compare to Nolan's movies. Shaun of the Dead being rejected was obvious with the levels of gore in that movie and Firefly has prostitution in the show which is something Lego doesn't want to be involved with. Also the violence in The Dark Knight is more implied than shown not once in the movies do we see blood shown. Scenes like Harvey Dent's face being on fire is no different than Anakin losing all of his limbs and also being burnt alive.

Well they are basing sets on the Lord of the Rings movies and those are violent. Besides other toy companies are making Action figures for the Dark Knight Rises.
-
I think they are splitting the wave for both Marvel and DC for the january wave, so that they can do the same later for Man of Steel and Iron Man 3 sets.
-
I think will get a Bat boat next wave, in which case I hope it's not like the 2006 version.
-
Aquaman,White Suited Batman, the penguin, and Mr.freeze will probably be in a arctic themed set. While Bane, Commissioner Gordon, and Batman will be in a Dark Knight Rises set. Lastly I believe Robin, some variant of Batman, Joker, Scarecrow, and Harley will be in a Arkham Asylum set.

Just saw The Amazing SpiderMan, the best out of all of the previous Spiderman movies. -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Darth Lurtz replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think the reason why people complained about the SSD having minifigures was that it wasn't to scale with them. The B Wing however could have been to scale since it is only a fighter. Also it doesn't help that the UCS R2D2 comes with one and this doesn't. -

Monster Fighters 2012
Darth Lurtz replied to Darth Nihilus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I definitely would not want to pay twenty more dollars on a set just to have the proper dye on the bricks as some have commented in that discussion. They treat LEGO as if their the only ones that cut back when other companies like Hasbro are far worse. As for the set itself, I had no plan of getting the Mad scientist and the Monster but this has nothing to do with it. The upcoming Zombie set has more pieces, better minifigs, and is ten dollars cheaper. Not to mention the monster is just a glorified zombie in my opinion. -
How is it racist to have racial diversity in lego sets? Also Non licensed sets benefit from licensed sets with elements that wouldn't be made otherwise, like Thor's hammer in the Monster Fighters theme. Lastly if you look at a lot of Non licensed sets, a lot of them are also overpriced.

They can do something similar to the Tumbler back in 2008 where they make a vehicle from the Nolan movies, but use existing minifigures. For example, they can make the Bat and include Batman, Cat woman, and Bane from this year's sets.
-
If their is a The Dark Knight Rises set, maybe it will be a Comic-Con exclusive. Both the movie and the convention are happening around the same time.

I went to the Midnight premiere of Prometheus and was surprised for it exceeded my expectations. I thought it would just be a prequel to Alien but it turned out to be much more.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Darth Lurtz replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The 30058 STAP includes a Mini-figure and only has 24 pcs. So I think as long as a set has a dedicated build of any size, it can include a mini-figure. -
I think its a little to early to pass judgement, they might only use the voices for Important parts of the story. Besides the teaser already demonstrated some humor between Gandalf and the Balrog with no dialogue.

Upcoming LOTR minifigures wish list!
Darth Lurtz replied to SheepEater's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
For the shield, they can use the Roman Soldier's shield from series 6. As for my desired mini-figures, I would want Eowyn, Saruman, and The Witch King the most.
