It's not that I forgot, but I was just giving a couple examples, just to give a general idea of my goal. I think you mean Brickarms, is that correct? I recognized it from being in 7624 Jungle Duel, but I guess it's been used in other IJ sets. Reason for edit: I accidentally pasted my response in again after the original.

I can't help but wonder what would happen to Dave were he to come across the City Advent Calendar...

Excellent MOC, Infomaniac! Great use of SNOT near the bottom of it . I also really like the concept, a chivalrous commoner against bloodthirsty knights. I do have a few minor suggestions, though: 1. You may want to have a little less white pieces supporting the gray, as it appears that snow is supporting the stone. 2. Two of the small orcs seem to have rather nice hats and plumes, and I would replace them with some form of hood. 3. The knights (they have feelings too! ) might like to be moved forward a bit, as they are almost falling off the pass. Aside from those few little things, it is an overall excellent creation.

No Castle Advent set for North America

It's true, and rather sad... Oh, another good one is that on some wheelbarrows, they say "not intended for highway use." -
Review: Set 7090, Crossbow Attack
Francis Marion replied to Millacol88's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I like this set mostly because it has some very usable pieces, but also because of the amount of minifigures in the set, which is a whopping three and one large animal (skeleton horse). The one thing, however, that I don't like about it, is that one of the catapult operators isn't armed. In my opinion, this would have been a good time for TLG to release a suitable dagger piece (not the kitchen knife) for its Castle line. Great review, by the way, it captured the key elements of this fantastic small set. -
No Castle Advent set for North America
Francis Marion replied to KDog's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
*bangs head against computer speaker* Why does TLG have to do this to us poor North Americans... I really wanted those figs in the Advent Calendar, but I guess I'll just have to beat SirNadroj to a few on BL. -
Review: 7092 Skeletons' Prison Carriage
Francis Marion replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Nice review, it seems that you really covered all aspects of this FANTASTIC set. My favorite part about it is probably the fact that you can give almost every included minifig a mount, except for one poor knight . However, another part I like is that the horse includes a plain saddle, which is a nice relief after the overabundance of the gold-plate barding, which is nice, but overused in the early sets. Also, the SW jokes are hilarious! I particularly the running gag with the walker, but I like this one too. Reason for Edit: I made a mistake due to a loss of internet and an accidental post. -
Review: 852271 Knights Battle Pack

I sure wouldn't... especially if it was the silver chainmail barding. -
Review: 852271 Knights Battle Pack
Francis Marion replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I love this battlepack! I bought two last time I went to Legoland California, and it certainly gave the knights a good variety of new troops. However, I have one complaint, and that is the guy with the lance. I am wondering why he has a lance while fighting on foot. If TLG really wanted to give him a lance, they should have given him a horse. -
Those are just great small MOC's! I particularly love the ballista, but I agree with Sandy, that the cart needs some protection, and why does it have a compass? Also, I don't get how that bridge stays in one piece (in a manner of speaking), it looks rather structually unsound. As for the ballista, however, its just a great mini-MOC , but I don't really get how it is fired, but it looks like the silver "tooth" is part of the firing mechanism. I'd like that too...

That is so amazing! My personal favorite pieces are the roof and those little prayer flags.

I have a rather boring army of Crown Knights, mostly armed with shortswords and spears (I want to take some pictures soon). I find many of these soldiers infinitely boring, and have been wondering what I could do to spruce them up a bit. Specifically, does anybody have any recommendations for custom or non-theme weaponry?

Alternate Weapons for the Crown Kingdom

It is true... I tend to be rather unimaginative sometimes... -
This MOC is AMAZING!!! I love the trees especially, and the way the cottage just blends in with the landscape. Also, as shown in the Brickshelf Folder, there is a small red squirrel in one of the trees. I love squirrels, and I wish TLG would make a piece for them, but I now want to know how to make a brick-built one.

For many years, dragons have remained neutral in the pitiful conflicts between men and their minions. However, some dragons have been forced by wizards to serve their own wills. Most dragons are smart enough to break free, but would then successively be taken down by hundreds of arrows or crossbow bolts (despite what Dragonator will tell you ). One dragon has been placed under penalty of starvation for destroying an entire skeleton patrol with fire, and although he could break free, he is in an area with many armed skeletons, easily explainable. However, what no one but those involved know, is that two of the king's top soldiers have been tasked with freeing this dragon from his prison. The whole scene: The gagged dragon: The slayer of the slain: The chains are severed: Brickshelf Folder (when public) Please forgive the bad photography, I didn't pick the best time to take the pictures, and I am no expert cameraman. Comments are welcome and accepted, especially from those members of the AADR (Association for the Advancement of Dragons' Rights) AADR Headquarters

Association for the Advancement of Dragon's Rights
Francis Marion replied to Francis Marion's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I apologize for the bad photography, but here is a somewhat badly-done vignette of a dragon about to be freed from the evil clutches of an evil wizard. The Brickshelf Folder This has its own topic, but this is a better idea to post it on. Comments are welcome. -

Francis Marion posted a topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Greetings, I, Francis Marion, am aligned with the dwarves of LEGO Castle. Sadly, the dwarves, as told in many different mythologies, and hopefully not in LEGO, have been conflicting with dragons for a long time. I wish to free many dragons from their forced evil bonds to the Dark Wizard, and eliminate the stereotype of all dragons being evil. -
I'm sorry for putting this up, if a mod comes along and determines that it is a waste of space or something, they can close or delete it or something, I'll just post a picture or two in the other "Dragon-related" thread.

Pardon my ignorance (I'm rather tired today), but what "other dragon topic"?

Depending on the size qualifications for "vignette" I think I did a fair job at fitting one of the new ones into one. My Pathetic Attempt -
I actually want to...

Last I checked (this morning), it wasn't there on US S@H.

Would Indians have sold if part of Original WW Line?
Francis Marion replied to Dovchenko's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I voted yes for two reasons. One, there is sort of that classic "Cowboys vs. Indians" thing. Two, there were actually historical conflicts between the United States and Native Americans, so those discerning toy critics would not necessarily see hatred and racism, but the history of the "Wild West" time period. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Indian_Wars -
I am going to Legoland California this weekend, and I plan on entering a building competiton there. I'm not sure what it is called, but all I know is that competitors are given bricks with which to build. Has anyone done this before? And if so, do you have any specific information about it?
