Seems to me like a mix of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and classic

I think some of the decals on the summer figs are unfinished though. Scott Lang's printing definitely looks incomplete and if you look at the close up picture of him and Yellowjacket there looks like slight fraying round the edges of the latter's print. This seems to indicate to me some minifigures have placeholder decals.

Interesting range of Spidey sets we're getting. I love the Carnage set (Miles Morales!) and that Green Goblin minifig is awesome, I'm not stunned by the Rhino/Sandman set though. Glad we got mecha-Rhino of sorts as I much prefer him as a mech than a big guy in a grey suit (Blasphemy for a big Spider-Man fan I know, but hey!) but the set itself is a bit bare. I'll still pick it up along with the others though because my wallet's completely at Lego's mercy when it comes to Marvel Superheroes sets :P

I'm pretty happy with it. I'll definitely pick it up when I've got a spare £300 to drop on it. I do somewhat agree about being disappointed about the repeats, I'd have swapped Hawkeye and BW for a male SHIELD agent and an Agent Coulson, but then again the former might be filled by the Carnage set if the SHIELD agent in that is movie-inspired and the latter is easy enough to make convincingly from existing parts. I'll probably display the microfigs separately thinking about it too.

Hmm... I'm in two minds. On the one hand, it is a decent size, about 70 studs long by my rough count which is nearly two feet... On the other hand, despite that, it does look a bit more puny than I was expecting, especially for a (supposed) £300 set. Like others I'll wait to judge until I see proper photos and get the minifigure line up if there is one...

    The Amazing Spider-Man

Well I look forward to any MOCs you make with these either way! I still need to get round to doing a TASM2 Spider-Man, Electro and Gwen really...

    The Amazing Spider-Man

Cheers man, make sure you PM me when you do as I'm still yet to see how these look on actual figures! :D I also made a TASM2 Green Goblin which is in a thread of its own here a few pages back if that's any help too?
  8. Thanks guys, I've updated the first post with a slightly reworked torso as I still wasn't massively happy with aspects of it. Added the silver piping I missed and redid the lower part basically from scratch, more inspired by the details on the costume than following them exactly so I could make it a bit more busy without losing the LEGO vibe! Also added a face decal, inspired mainly by the Mandarin face design as that's commonly accepted as the best stand-in using purist pieces. In regards to the ears, on my prototype figure I made by painting, I took the CMF elf headpiece, darkened the hair and then painted the ears flesh with black edging to represent the headset thing he wears! EDIT: And now I've updated it with a back decal and a torso decal for Gwen so the Goblin has some hope to take away
  9. The newly discovered TASM2 Electro figure has inspired me to create one for the Green Goblin! Only torso done so far, but I'd like some feedback on that, I'm not sure about the lower section and whether I simplified that area too much. HQ reference pictures of the physical suit here: http://www.edward-de...ng-spiderman-2/ EDIT: Updated torso and added face! EDIT 2: Back decal and Gwen Stacy torso: Thanks!

I need that polybag! It's amazing (pun not intended) and now I've seen it... What I wouldn't give to get it! :O

I think the one thing we can say for sure about whatever minifigures we do get this year, they will probably be more accurate than some of those for Avengers (Hawkeye, Black Widow and Loki's staff spring to mind), judging from the set photos and renders we've had already, they've had the designs locked down for more than a year, and if I recall correctly isn't 12 months the time it takes to develop a set including minifig design time?

    The Amazing Spider-Man

Cheers man! Actually pretty tempted to whip some up for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The design of the Goblin looks like it'd make for an awesome minifig and as we aren't getting any official sets I might step up to try fill the void a bit! :D

    Any Doctor Who Fans?

These are fantastic, I can't wait to see them applied to minifigs! Keep it up :)
