    [Review]Death Star 10188

I don't often buy UCS sets, especially if they do not have figs. So I didn't get the ISD, haven't yet bought the Death Star---though I really want it---and already built the Falcon. Adding all of the hours and minutes, it took me almost exactly 72 hours to build it (3 days straight). This means it may take a while longer to build the Death Star, and I still look forward to building it. (as soon as I get it) KimT: Haven't you said before that you take apart sets after you build and photograph them? If so, what do youu use the parts for then? Sell? MOCs?

Yes, thanks for that photo. Apparently, the plane is a dark green, but I still like the set as a plain gray. And I do agree--the set does appear rather pitiful*. *NOTE: No matter how pitiful the set may seem, I'm still buying a ton of it.

1--I don't recall any green either. Can somebody post a pic of the Flying Wing? 2--I do think it will prove correct. 3--Fortunately for you, I remember. And to show that I actually care, the sets are: The Graveyard from KOTCS. The Venice Chase from TLC. Air Battle from TLC. The Temple Of Doom from (no, really?) TOD. Can't provide anymore details.

    Star Wars Pen 4 Pack

It looks like Jango simply because it is Jango, whether it is an old pen set or not. Also, I already have a Jango fig, but you won't catch me complaining if they release another. My friend sold me the Slave 1 a year or two ago for only $20!!! I about fainted when he told me that he would sell me his stuff...

    Star Wars sets anyone?

    Target. (link to website)

Nice save. On a related note; Is Grevious' starfighter really called the "Soulless One?" I'm pretty sure that it is just a droid bomber from S.W. Battlefront II. In my opinion, minis are partially a waste of space, but yet can come in handy too. For example, Grevious' bomber is somewhat out of proportion in the front, but (I) could use those pieces for mocs.

This is just sickening. I'm sorry, but I can't stand batman. As for the sets, I want them both, although I liked the Flying Wing better without the green stripes.

    Spongebob '09?

I got the Brickmaster magazine today, and it shows the sets, from an aerial view. I would post pics, but my technology does not allow me to----sorry. And no, they're not exactly preliminary, I think that is the final design, although both flags are on the patty-mobile.

Wait...what? There's a new arm mould? (checks AAT pic) Wow. The things I thought I would have noticed..... ....Anyway, I'm beginning to hate vulture droids, and yoda is not looking too great now either. Either way, I'll probably get both--even if just to see what they look like. Hopefully we'll soon get a picture of the Solar Sailor and Count Dooku.

    Lego Man-Bat and Mad Hatter!

Or you can just do this.

If new sets and parts are showing up at brickcon for castle and indy lines, shouldn't there be some new star wars stuff showing up also?

    Taking pics of minifigs?

Nice quote there, Willy Wonka. Did it work anyway? My technology at home will not allow me to take pics of my many mocs, simply because my technology is crap.

I think a few different things about these. 1.--The sets generally look like mocs, except for Obi's fighter. 2.--You can see a spongebob set being dismantled to build a larger model. 3.--The twilek head looks a lot like Arealight's customs off of bricklink.

    New 2009 sets(all)

Hah!! This rocks! Not the pictures, but something in the pictures. It appears to be a white fedora in the farm set with black and white cows, blue tractor, and a barn and shed. The farmer wearing it is in the top of the barn, and it is set 7637. And, upon close inspection, the super-small pictures of the set's functions also show him.

    Future Star Wars Sets

The only possible way that I would even consider buying one of those is if: 1-It was the blue and gray version piloted by Jango Fett. 2-It came with Jango. 3-Already have the old one, so a new and improved Jango fig. 4-The ship has to have an interior fit for a fig of any galaxy. 5-And, not required, but I would prefer it come with at least 4 minifigs (like Jango, Boba/young, 2 new bounty hunters).

The Clone Factory - Captain Fordo

It is a very nice custom, although a tad bulky around the holsters.

I mean the Willie ( ) from the Shanghai Chase set we have a prelim. picture of.

I could use a new print on Indy too, seeing as how all of the Adventures line was yellow skinned. However, I can't seem to get enough Indies...You wouldn't believe how many mocs I have made and/or are making.

Yes, in the Licensed forum. There is a new picture of Willie, from the Temple of Doom set to be released.

As far as your question---yes. Maybe that brown hair piece is what they mean't for Endor Leia. It's practically perfect. Or they could have mean't Padme and accidentally said Leia. Who knows? Seriously, does anybody?

    2009 minifig wishlist!

A new Lobot would be nice, along with cloud city leia. And the arena had better come with geonosians if they make it.

    Batman theme in 2009

I would love some villians from the game, only a few of which I have seen. Although I am not really a huge fan of batman, there are many building ideas to be used and minifigs and/or parts that come in handy with mocs. I would name a few villian figs that I would like to see made into a fig, but I do not know the names of those few.

    2009 minifig wishlist!

Did you just think of that? I can't find it now, but I know I posted something like that in another thread recently. I think my post was about the green phase 1 jet trooper on S.W. Battlefront One. I could always use another Jango though. As far as other minifigs; -Watto (I could use a new one) -Some Fetts -More Phase 1 clones -Modal Nodes with instruments -Max Rebo -Some new Jedi -Some new Sith -Geonosians -More Gungans -And more Ewoks. EDIT: How could I possibly forget Dooku? Gotta have one of them.
