What future LEGO Movies would you like to see happen?
DraikNova replied to Realshow's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
As a subset of a larger LEGO Space movie (as discussed above), I could see it happen. Considering that Ninjago got a movie, I could see Nexo Knights getting a movie 3-4 years down the line if it stays successful.- 97 replies

In the interest of not having it taken offline, I'd prefer it if those who want the link would use PMs. -

I found a way to watch episode 10 online, but I'm going to wait until I've built all of the 2016 sets first. On a side note, I can't wait for season 3. Here's hoping 2017 has just as much material as 2016. -

Email them. Usually, even if it's not available on the website, they can get it if you email them and give them a short description of the part and explain why you couldn't order it the normal way. -
Yes, but if the dog set lacked ears, had its feet twisted sideways and its every proportion distorted to the point where it doesn't even vaguely resemble the real animal, you wouldn't like that either.

Probably not. Although you could probably paint those sections individually by covering up the other part of the piece with modeling clay -
I've made four in LDD (aliens, arthropods, archosaurs and robot-themed ones), and one out of bricks (eye-themed ones).

That's droolworthy. Although I wish the headpiece was printed with blue so that it wasn't just a solid mass of purple. -

Action sets are kinda weird and ugly. The hands don't look good in the slightest, since they're completely out of proportion and don't work well with the shields. Of all of them, I like Macy's the most. Incidentally, I think it's time Macy got a large vehicle of her own. Lance and Macy are the two Knights missing large vehicles so far. Assuming that the summer wave follows a normal price distribution, I hope she gets either the $80 or $120 slot. The other sets...eh, they're better than most sets, but still not as good as winter 2016. They'll probably look slightly better when we see finalized pictures, but of all of the things from winter 2017 nexo knights, I am most excited for the Sparkz/Burnzie-style gargoyle from Clay's set. -
Is anyone else fearing that Nexo Knights is meaning NO new castle them
DraikNova replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Personally, I'm guessing the reason that most girls tend to identify with characters in the first person is that there aren't anywhere near enough female characters in media in general. Rather than being able to pick and choose elements of various characters to identify with, they are often given just one character, which they then feel the need to project all of themselves onto. Most of what I hate about the "themes specifically for girls" business is that it falls into and reinforces the moronic and sexist assumption that boys are the default. In general, I feel that no theme should market specifically to boys or girls. Just market to everyone. There's not that much of a difference. Just a lot of fools trying to tell kids that there is. On-topic, though, I'd like to say that Nexo Knights, besides specifically addressing my need for a Sci-Fi theme, also fixes the issue I had with almost all castle themes: a lack of creative monsters. We always just had generic orcs, skeletons and dragons. Sure, with the exception of Ultimate Lavaria and the globlins, all of the Nexo Knights monsters are humanoid, but at least lava monsters is a broader category with more opportunities to give things character than the generic Tolkien/D&D orcs or the "and then a skeleton popped out" style villains. Taking into account the fact that 2017 Nexo Knights seems to be going for gargoyle-esque villains, things seem pretty good on that front. However, I feel that some classic castle stuff would actually improve Nexo Knights. Just some plain, unadorned ruins would help spruce up the world a little and get the sets to align more with the world as it is depicted in the show (i.e. an exploration of what happens to a stereotypical fantasy world afterwards). -
Well, these days it's known that most dinosaurs had and have feathers. And this theropod is also just generally awkward looking as a model. The pterosaur, looks, ironically enough, like it'll be one of the best models in the set.

Good god. The goblins. They look like troll dolls. -
Ugh. Yet another inaccurate dinosaur. Regardless of whether it's a T. Rex or an abelisaur of some kind (the only group for which the wingless arms would be accurate), its body is far too short. And why make a pterosaur as an alternate model? It's supposed to be a dinosaur themed set, isn't it?

Is there any chance of this change happening? Because I find it extremely annoying to have to either load a completely different page to go from one forum to another or type it out manually. And really, since this whole thing is Invision's fault, by all rights, they should be the ones to fix the problems they've caused.

Yeah, that pose occurs pretty often with Bionicle MOCs. It's practically a meme by now. Here's one of my pictures of it: -
The site is nice, but I'm hoping the format of the forums address can be changed from the current /[number]-[name]/ format, since it simply being /[number]/ made it a lot easier to jump between frequently-visited forums. I've also noticed that the edit function is a little buggy and sometimes takes very long to load. As for the colors, I'd like it if it were either user-customizable or used a light blue rather than blinding white.

Alternately, if you don't want to visit the hellhole above hellholes, there's a certain site about picking bricks you could visit which has all of the leaks. -
LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion
DraikNova replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Having just seen all of the drawings, I think that, while they don't look as good as this year's sets, they still look pretty good. The new mixel-joint monster looks quite nice, and, while I'm not a fan of the stickered face motif the villains' vehicles have, I definitely love those colors. Clay's jet looks like the Mecha Horse of 2017: divisive, with an interesting function that it sacrifices some aesthetics for. -
I wanted to build a better suit of armor for Macy than the ultimate version, and...it kind of just snowballed from there. Features include an opening cockpit, full articulation, rotating dual mace, dual blasters (can be activated via gears) and a brickbuilt shield that can hold a minifig shield. I also replicated her ponytail. When I initially built this and took pictures of it, I slightly underestimated the size of this piece (used in the shield), which LDD doesn't have and I, as such, represented with a Nexo Knights cockpit piece. It's an easy fix, though, requiring simply that I replace the 2x4 slopes with 2x3 ones. Gallery Comments and criticism appreciated!

They are already somewhat modular, since all that is needed to exchange two parts is replacing a 2x2x2 section that is relatively loosely secured. I could probably enhance the modularity by replacing these with these, so the modules can be swapped out more easily, although this would come at the cost of the arms becoming floppier due to lack of friction..

Well, if CM4Sci is as accurate as usual, the replacement for Mixels will be the Nexo Knights Action sets, which are mixel-joint-based mecha suits.

Battle mechs that fit a smaller figure inside and have a larger shield that can hold a Nexo Power...hmmm. Anyway, they sound pretty cool. -

Light blue and purple rock monsters. Ehmmm...LEGO Pokemon license confirmed? Seriously though, that sounds like a nice color scheme. I'm excited for Ruina, and I'm glad the Knights are more-or-less keeping their color scheme. It'll make it much easier to make MOCs. Since they're dropping the Ultimates in favor of collectible bags, I'm going to save some money there, which is nice, although I'd have loved more Ultimates. And we still have no clue about the Action versions. -
MOC: "Rahi Rex" (Working name)
DraikNova replied to ZeldaTheSwordsman's topic in LEGO Action Figures
If they're facing inwards, they can still smack masks off. The fact that they're higher off the ground would actually make that easier. If you're talking about actually smacking the masks off and catching them with its claws, does it really work that well? If so, I'm very impressed.
