Captain, there is something wrong with Clark's helmet display!
DraikNova replied to teabox's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
The vignette is great, can't believe someone managed to get all those GP's. And johnnyvgoode, he mentions how he came up with the vignette right under the pic. -
Some option for more coverage would be useful, perhaps using three of those peices from Stormer's legs to mirror his front?
-
Those brickbuilt snake heads are cute! At first I thought that the Storm Glider was the set version, but it looks even better like this! I'm in love with the treehouse build, it's just so awesome. The Bounty is great, the Arena is great and the only thing missing is a function that allows the recreation of the first few minutes of the Day of the Great Devourer episode . Seriously though, why is there no Great Devourer? Perhaps it was to big?

While I generally use a MTIS for covering up the back if I can, we're going to need to come up with a whole new method for XL heroes like Stormer. Any thoughts?

Consistent color scheme, creative torso and shoulder armor and an interesting weapon, all in all, this is a GREAT MOC!
-
Nice MOC, although I originally expected it to be gold, it still looks great! Might want to remove that purple spike though.

MOCs: BIONICLE: The Legend Continues
DraikNova replied to King of Nynrah's topic in LEGO Action Figures
I don't really like any of these now, but maybe if you added some concept art to demonstrate how they would look with new peices they would look better. Plus, I honestly doubt anyone would by a revamp of Kopaka Nuva, Malum or Metus. -
I'm definitely going to make a recolor XT4 when he comes out. He just looks so cool. And I'm certainly going to get two extra purple seeker drones (as seen on SD) to use on my ongoing HF WIP XL. Man, that's alot of capitals .

Personally, I like the more bulky, hi-tech, sci-fi look of the Epic Dragon in the set version. As said by others, the show version resembles an overgrown version of the individuals. The necks make me think of two-headed lizards . I just have to get the set, partially to make a grown-up, larger version of the ice dragon as I see it.

Thanks for the new pics! Speeda still looks completely and utterly awesome, Stormer looks... better (just barely awesome) and I'm kinda disappointed that the bottom part of Core Hunter's blaster is red and not black. Still, they all look great, both boxart and set. I'm very interested to see just how many Waspix-bones are available in all the summer waves. I'm going to need it make a giant MOC soon. Summer 2012 seems (apart from the non-2.0 style helmets) to be shaping up to be Hero Factory's best wave yet.

I'll be so glad if Stringer's amp armor is that detailed. Plus, I'm loving those new (lightning)bolt pieces!

Ideas for New Action Themes
DraikNova replied to Perry the Platypus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I would want a theme completely about dragons. That is something we have never had before, and would obviously be EPIC! -
Space Marine Mk12 Variable Assault Plasma Rifle (VAPR)
DraikNova replied to Tereglith's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I've made something similar to this, with a bunch of grey attachments to add trans attachments. Overal, a good moc! -
I bought one, one day before the service closed. Honestly, I loved it, but without the service closing, I would never have bought one.
-
A great moc overall to showcase some of LEGO's newer animals, my only question: why are there grey parrots in the trees?
-
We would love to see reviews, so go ahead! And Darksurge, all of your questions are answered in the episode. The reason Lloyd has long legs is to give him posability and let him ride the dragon.
-
Damn, how I want that set. Living in the Netherlands is horrible for your LEGO-buying needs.
-
It remindes me of a combo of Steampunk and Post-apoc, mainly because of the color.
-
No need, you've already done a great job with your current version, so I guess I can't really improve. One note of advice though, since they seem heavily steampunk, they don't really have the "space" feel to them. Other than that no need for any improvements. Even trying to improve on that one is really a lost cause, since I kinda like the armored one more than I like the actual marines. Since I'm hoping that when LEGO approves this they will make it a multi-year theme, I'll make a list of what I would like to see for each year: Year 1: Space Marines only, except for one Space Navy fig. Year 2: Space Marines, Space Navy, introduction Space Army. Year 3: Space Marines, Space Navy and Space army (possible Special Ops Marines?) Year 4: Same thing as the one before.

There are to main facets to LEGO, the building and the legalese. Seriously though, the play value is very important. With Ninjago, it is so great that I haven't even made any MOCs yet with it.

Actually, now that I think about this, Pythor's head is at the perfect height to recreate the "Pythor about to eat Sensei Wu on the Tour Bus"-scene.
