  1. I'm really excited to see these new sets, they all sound very interesting. The one I am most intrigued by though is the Confidential Technic Ultramotive a.k.a. the Porsche As a petrol head this set sounds like a perfect fit and hopefully it doesn't disappoint. I wonder if this set also has new rims/tires? If it is a Porsche I wonder if it might be the rumored production version of the Mission E Concept...Or perhaps McLaren's answer to the Ferrari F12. The BWE sounds monstrous in every way and the Xerion... Lime green, logging crane and new tires. Wow.

    42030 - Volvo L350F Wheel Loader

My L350F had been sitting on the shelf for a few months so I decided to dust it off and take some new photos. I prefer outdoor shoots but it is -5c this time of year Before the shoot I had a go at replicating the proper L350F sloped back and also changed the rear end as I felt that the original was too squared off. I'm also using the Rock Crusher XT 1.9 tires but instead of foam inserts I actually put the included LEGO tires inside for added support. The best mod was adding Efferman's incredible steering system.

    LEGO Ideas WALL-E

So... LEGO sent me another service pack

    LEGO Ideas WALL-E

I received my service pack yesterday and installed the pieces last night. The previous design was very annoying because I would constantly find WALL-E's head flopped backwards even minutes after posing him on my desk due to any small vibration from walking or the local trains.

    [REVIEW] 42048 - Race Kart

Thanks for the reviews! What a wonderful set, a must have and perhaps the best of 1H 2016 releases.
  8. I think it's awesome, nice job! Would a regular battery box fit with a little work? Also, do you happen to have a parts list? I will gladly spend the $10 but I'm not sure if I have everything I would need.
  9. An E63 or S63 AMG would be awesome!
  10. I think the biggest disappointment for me is the continual increase in sticker use year after year. Without stickers most of the newer sets are just a bunch of panels. Bring back flex axles and actual DESIGN.

    LEGO Ideas WALL-E

There is no mention of current owners getting a service pack, but perhaps I should give them a call.

    LEGO Ideas WALL-E

I was playing around with Stephan's LXF file and discovered a little mod that I think really improves the look of his eyes. If you remove the 1x1 plate and turn the 1x1 brick ninety degrees, the 3x3 dish can be attached closer to the head. This change also moves the eyes slightly closer together which fixes another issue I had with the original.

    LEGO Ideas WALL-E

There might actually be four issues if other sets are like mine. The printed tiles are all scratched but the damage was done before the graphics were printed.

    Review: 21303 - WALL-E

My favorite Ideas set so far besides Curiosity! I think the eyes are a bit off though and I think there are better solutions but that is an easy fix. Thanks for the review!
  15. I really hope that if it is a flagship supercar we get a street car. It seems like Mercedes is very open to having their lineup modeled in LEGO, so perhaps the new AMG GT. I'm not even sure where the Ferrari license stands and as much as I'd love a 1:8 LaFerrari I don't see that happening because the licensing fees alone would probably push the price close to $300. Ultimate IP car. The Ultimate Driving Machine? The BMW i8?

You can buy the set on eBay for $140 I think I'll wait, but at least the box looks nice!

Advanced Models 10248 Ferrari F40: Discussion Topic

I was really hoping Lego would do the F40 justice and sadly this doesn't work for me. It looks very "kiddy" and the insane amount of stickers used is very disappointing.

    Problem with Parts Cracking

While dusting my 8070 today I noticed that a bushing felt loose. Once I examined it closer I could see that the entire part had cracked in multiple places and one section was so loose that it fell off! This was a brand new, unused part left over from my 42009 spare parts and was only used as a stop on an axle that never saw any stress. I have to mention that I mailed about fifty cracked parts to LEGO a few months ago and never received an email or letter about the issue. I hope they are taking this seriously but I fear it has gone unnoticed. I only want to make a great product that I love even better.

    8051 Streetfighter

Had a little fun with the 8051 and I really liked the result. Just a few simple mods give it a more aggressive stance and feel like a proper Streetfighter.

    8051 Streetfighter

Thanks guys! When the suspension is pressed the headlights do touch but I thought they looked better placed lower. As a sport/race bike it has limited suspension travel anyway

    Problem with Parts Cracking

32039 is the latest victim :( The black 42039 that is used for the handlebars on the 8272 Snowmobile is cracked in the same place. Lego came through with the replacement parts which was great, but if I use them they will start to crack eventually. They asked me to send some examples of the damaged parts and I plan on sending a lengthy letter explaining what I believe is the issue(too much grip force plus thin plastic).
